Casi was feeding two and its because she couldn't find enough food to continue why she let Chiko take him. Limited food for Casi meant limited food for the infants who depended on her so of course she let him go to keep her true infant healthy.

She is. She's about had it with Calvin, which is why she leaves him with Chico for good a couple days after this. Especially after the way he fights her when she tries to push him away, he's becoming far too aggressive in territorial over her daughter's sustenance.

What ever torture Calvin received from Casi he deserved because he was always tormenting her. When she put him on the branch she put her head toward him in an attempt to get him to climb on her back like what she does with Celine. Celine always obeys but Calvin clung to her face in an attempt to return to the milkbar. With hunger and frustration gnawing at her self restraint by the second its a wonder she didn't actually bite him really hard.
I wonder how Anna would have handled him. Probably would have poked him in the eyes just for looking at her.

Calvin has form of Down's Syndrome for Macaques. His staring at Casi is creepy. The gnawing at her fur to request milk is annoying, the pulling at Celine's fur, clingy to Casi's fur and face. This was when Cassie had had it with Calvin's aggression. It literally took a whole minute to get him off of her while he continued to try to nurse and she would push him away. He fought her for an entire minute of her pushing him away for him come back sucking, her pushing him away and him coming back sucking, finally she got up and ran away because I think that's what she did to mitigate her anger. He was far too aggressive and territorial over Celine's milk and that's why he got left with Chico. That and he refused to learn and continued to break every monkey rule. Infant macaques learn incredibly quickly and Cassie knows what Calvin does and does not know. There have been studies on Monkey Island regarding what monkeys know and if they know what other monkeys know and it turns out they do.
Celine Casi’s real daughter is the one being tortured here, that’s why Casi gets so angry.

Maybe not as much as Calvin & fans wanted but he had energy, weight, and stamina. It wasn't doable for him to be fed like Celine. They fail to acknowledge that her feeding him at all is impressive for their species. & maybe If he would've fell in line he could have nursed atleast until he could forage a bit on his own. Who knows now.

I think she leaves him for good the next day. All the videos on the 27th was all day tantrums. Cassi was having extremely hard time peeling him off of her for her own pup to feed. In another video on same day Calvin fed, then Celine tried to feed, after he was done, and he got so violent he got to feed again. They were on the ground, not in a tree, and Celine fell, like a flip, over her mother’s arm, then climbed on her mother’s back. Calvin got to feed again. It’s like he demanded Cassi not to feed Celine at all. If you watch the videos of this same date on here, you see. It took me all this time to finally understand the final straw on why Cassi was finally done forever with him. I believe her rank and the rank her mother had, when she was alive, in the Hierarchy was why she did what she could for him. He was born into the Troop. Higher ranking protect the Troop. Calvin seemed to not respect Celine’s higher rank nor Cassi’s rank. His bad tantrums that day in front of the Troop was it. And his desperate attempts at Celine not feeding at all that day was beyond. The next day, when Cassi left Celine and had Calvin on her teats, most likely because she was trying to find food and could not get him off without hurting him. As soon as he was off her, she was gone so fast Celine had to run after her mother. That was it. Chiko came and Cassi refused to take Calvin back ever.
See near the end of video on the branch she beatin on calvin all the other mother monkeys climbed away from casi.
They were afraid he would try and climb onto them. bwahahaha

It was something about Calvin that the whole troop despised. They move or look the other way when he's in danger of falling. But At 6:23 and 6:33 the other mom catches Celine when she appears to be too close to the ledge. Other than the troop knowing he wasn't for Casi, because bio scents/ pheromones aren't transferred externally, so they know the deal. Idk we he was so despised. Chicks accepted him because she was a juvenile so she doesn't yet know or care what's what. She just wants to tote anybody's infant. Doesn't matter whose it is. Calvin was dealt a raw deal from birth. His mom needed him & she failed him. She should've gotten down & got him. Most moms retrieve them faster than lightening. Can't blame Casi for trying but having 2 infants constantly demanding milk, grooming, clinging, supervision, referring fights , & etc can be draining. Factor in one is a stranger that she isn't obligated to. She decided to change her mind about this fostering a monkey business. It was a remarkable thing that she even tried. Notice the other moms nonchalant attitude towards him. It is actually the norm for this species. People say he should've been left there to perish. And that Casi just prolonged suffering but I look at it like chemo. It can either help situation or prolong life until one gets some things done. Would u rather go now or later? We all have to go!?

Носит она Кальвина, потому что отряд передвигается в поисках пищи. Плхоже отрчд не бросает дитенышей одних. Если Каси не забирает, это делает Чико. Но. Каси пока забирает. Дни Кальвина рядом с ней сочтены.

Про кормление.
Каси его кормила и настолько хорошо, что он начал запрещать Селин есть.
Кормиться он начал с 16 апреля. По крайней мере эта датировка стоит на видео, в котором Кальвина положили на ветки дерева. Это акт дисциплины со стороны Каси. Второе, Кальвин не пускал Селин на соски.
Его точно начали кормить 17 апреля. К 24 он отъелся настолько, что он подрос и налился и стал выглядить как Селин, а порой лучше.
27 апреля. Кальвина несколько раз забирала Чико в предыдущие дни с 21. 25-27 апреля у него были изматывающие туры без молока с Чико по деревьям, приправленных камбоджийской жарой. К тому же Чико подросток она носиться по буреломам и оврагам, наплевав, что у нее на груди дитеныш. Забирается куда хочет. И она не очень нежна. В однои видео Чико кусает Кальвина за губу. Она безразлична к его истерикам. В итоге Кальвин потерял много энергии и влаги, а Каси его кормила, если Селин была сыта. + в предыдущие дни Кальвин не сколько раз падал с высоты (два раза с Каси, но оба раза она не успела его поймать).
Не забываем, нам показывают не весь день в непрерывной съемке. А только часть для создания необходимого образа.
Каси его кормит, но уже не так много и часто, отдавая предпочтение кровному потомству.
Таскает Кальвина на задней лапе илиина заднице. В качестве наказания за не послушание. Каси так делает, нсли тот пытается оторвать от соска Селин, причиняет ей боль. И игнорирует предыдущие знаки Каси так не делать.

Calvin's horrible instincts is what killed him. He wanted ALL the milk, ALL the time, and THAT was never gonna happen. Love has nothing to do with it.😅
You obviously need to watch way more Calvin videos because Calvin being starved was a marketing ploy by the VO's. He was never starved and he ate every day, sometimes he would nurse all day, he just had to wait until after Celine to nurse because that's monkey hierarchy and Calvin was at the very bottom of the entire troop, being a rejected infant and all. Celine would stop on her own, Calvin wouldn't so Cassie would literally have to rip him off of her by the head of his hair and he would still continue to try to get more. It was never enough and he always wanted more, especially if Celine was nursing, even when he had just finished, he'd wait for Celine to fall asleep and pull her head off the teat and replace it with his own. Once Cassie caught him doing that, it was all downhill for Calvin from there. And he knew exactly what he was doing because he would stare at Cassie while he was pulling Celine's head off and replacing it with his own. If you watch enough Calvin videos you'll see it for yourself.

I watched all of Calvin's videos. I think Calvin's biggest problem was being too patient. Even being separated from his new mother and his death was for this reason. He should have cried and screamed loudly like other children.
