Spartan Of Kill Why because mostly everybody always goes for the 69 I don’t because I don’t like the split grill as much as the open grill in the front and the reflectors on the side I like the lights of the 68 just seems more aggressive than the 69 and70
The stock XLR-V has an NNP exhaust like on the Corvette. The valves open at 3500RPM. The XLR is built on a C6 chassis & shares a lot of parts with the Vette. The Corsa exhaust sounds really good on there. I have a 2006 & installed a Mild to Wild exhaust controller on it so I can manually open the valves, but I am thinking about changing the exhaust. I know the new exhaust shouldn't have thrown any codes, but did you notice any issues from capping off the vacuum & did it increase the housepower any?
I'm not the owner of the car so I don't drive it often. I can't speak for any power increase but it certainly added to the feel of the car. What I mean is it allows you to drive the car in a way where she speaks to you. Prior to the exhaust she was like a beautiful woman with no voice.
@@fsctrucking Right, shes like a beautiful woman, with a soft voice & a spunky attitude when you push her a little. Lol. Opening the exhaust valves really lets that supercharger breath at the mid to high RPMs, and sounds pretty good, but cuts into your power a little at the lower end. Not enough back pressure I guess. I'll have to do some more research I suppose. Thanks for your reply!
Hope you didn't toss out the stock V exhaust ? it actually sounds pretty good but I'm guessing the cutouts were working?. Good video!. But you.oda get the guy a hoist Jeff.
I was curious why the XLR V used a 4.4 instead of the 4.6. Looks like it was for reliability purposes. The 4.6 was notorious for head gaskets problems. So decreasing the bore added more meat between the water jacket and cylinder making it a tougher engine.
Thanks for this video. As an owner of a pristine 2009 XLR-V, I’m sad to say that I’m not a fan of the increased sound of the Corse Exhaust. Frankly speaking, the V is simply not fast enough to emit a note that dreams and rips like that. I love that the stock exhaust sounds smooth, rich and exotic.
I guess someone had to say it... Worked underneath many a car and found crap falling into my face. You and especially your boy should be wearing some eye protection. AHHHH. I feel better!
Beanos car at the start sounded like a pace car now it sounds like a race car but wheres the supercharger noise? i had 1984 ford fc ltd with 5.8 Cleveland V8 auto with 400 hp at the wheels and as the gear changes makes wheel spin it had twin 2.5 exhaust and at idle it make any thing close reverberate noise now i have 1996 ford df ltd 5.0 Windsor V8
Well folks, the moment you've all been waiting for ......... Horrible metal music OVER the exhaust note. Seriously? How does that make any sense whatsoever? You'd think that "obviously", people clicked on your vid to hear the Corsa exhaust, not your atrocious taste in music, so why would you edit your vid that way? Oh well, I guess what is obvious to some is not for others ...lol.
To me the chrome rims are everything. I've never seen such a beautiful set of rims on an XLR.
Got a black '06 V and it's criminally quiet. Definitely need a Corsa in my life!
I always though the XLR was a handsome design.
Classy corvette
I'm saving up to get a Cadillac XLR v then a 1968 Dodge charger cuz those are my two dream cars
Glad you didn’t say 69 lmao

If only they had Shared the corvette engines. LS9 7 or 3 would have been sick.
More power adders are coming to this car. Wait and see
where it at
Damn man that sounds 1000% better bad ass.
Wow, what are the odds I stumble across a TH-cam video filmed 10 miles from my house
First second I though, that its Vin Diesel driving that car, little bit bigger, but there are some similarities :D
those cars are so sweet, LS or LT swap would be so bad ass!!
Love it !!! I have a 2008 XLRV best car EVER !!!
Not a fan of rims but other than that best 2 seater ever made
I have those on my 2008 XLR. A little too 'rappy' and not enough 'rumble' for me.
Beautiful car now it sounds as good as it looks

It has an old school SBC sound. I like it. 👌🏻

How much would you charge me to do my xlr?

Just a suggestion when you lift the car do a start up and rev before and after comparison
Vin Diesel gained some weight during covid
BUDDY IT S A NICE CAR FOR THE SAKE OF TWENTY BUCKS CHANGE THE DONUTS
Isn’t the actuator switch on the left dash?
XLR update when
Awe man, why did you have music playing in the background while listening to the exhaust?
I'm looking for one got to get one I can get out of Corvette too low

We weren't wearing masks either 😉

The XLR-V and STS-V share the same engine, it had intake baffles or mufflers that significantly reduce the whine. Check out my 09 XLR-V on my channel.
I love the tag. “BE ANOS” be anus 🤣
oh who's yellow truck parked against the workshop backwards?
The Yellow truck is the 1979 Peterbilt 352 that will be coming to the channel VERY SOON
@@fsctrucking cool i'll be waiting
That bushing doesn't move. If it did it would twist driving as well.
The outside of the bushing moves with the travel of the control arm. The center is stationary and must be torqued at static ride height.
Not a fan of those rims, but great vid
4.6 liter
You shift manually then 10 seconds later it shifts
It should have borrowed the ls from the corvette
Seems like for the price you pay for corsa that the exhaust should fit perfectly without any clearance issues🤦
Beanos a little sketch on those donuts lol.
He's the dude who wrecks the car leaving a meet lol.
Vin Diesel

Need some doughnut practice 🥴😂
THIS IS ALUMINUM ENGINE DON T WANT EXHAUST COOLING TOO QUICKLY PROBABLY HOW THEY SOLVED NORTHSTAR HEADGASKET ISSUES EXPERIANCED IN EARLY MODELS
That problem was solved by changing the thread pitch in the head bolts.
Take the cats off
It don't sound like a Cadillac I got those on my car 2004 Corvette
