It literally is just a mediocre what if story that keeps repeating itself. All first 5 years are basically same thing happening over and over again with different themes. Just because there are paradoxes in continuity doesn't mean level of writing is worse than injustice. Inconsistencies are inevitable in continuity whether it's marvel or dc. But hey you can enjoy it if you want to!

As I wrote my comment earlier, I was thinking to myself whether they do this for recent titles too, the kind nobody has had “literally years” to read, watch, etc.
The funny thing about the Injustice series is that I never found myself disagreeing with what Superman was trying to do. The man lost everything: his wife, his kid, his home, everything he stood for taken away in an instant. My only real issue was the way he went about things. No man, hero or human should place themselves in the place of a god. Superman killing criminals isn’t my problem, if I had his powers the Joker would be dead a long time ago - and the various asylums and prisons that criminals constantly break out of would be reformed _yesterday._ Yet killing Green Arrow, murdering Billy, becoming an avatar of the literal embodiment of fear in the D.C universe (a yellow lantern), that’s not justice - that’s a dictatorship. He killed so many innocents, put so many under his heel that his crusade for “justice” became muddled. The ends here do not justify the means, as Superman ended up going full Justice Lords on not only the planet, but multiple planets and organizations. He *slaughtered* the Green Lantern Corps like he was swatting a fly, like their lives were just an obstacle in the way of his crusade. Superman didn’t step over a line killing the Joker, he stepped over the line by cementing himself as a god amongst men.

The ending choice given at the end of Injustice 2 means Injustice 3 is either impossible or will make both endings redundant.. Then again the cannon of the Injustice universe flips like a switch at a whim.
deshaun fortune It would be difficult though. Suppose the writers took off from the ending where Batman defeated Superman and imprisoned him in the Phantom Zone. Would Superman get OUT of the Phantom Zone? If so, how? The problem with that idea is that there isn’t much to keep the story fresh. Take Darkseid as a potential antagonist for the 3rd installment of the series. While Darkseid is still around for example, the problem with reintroducing him into the Injustice universe (in the game, not just the comics) is that Batman would have to repeat the idea of bringing Superman back from confinement, and it would be too easy for writers to recreate the ending to Injustice 2 where Batman and Superman trade blows. Replace Darkseid with the other major villains featured in the comics who weren’t killed off (Ares for example), and you would have the same problem. Even with the ending where Superman wins and essentially lobotomizes Batman (or are least puts Batman under his control-same thing imo), the story would still have very little to go off of. Assuming Superman *did* win, his plan would ultimately be to either enslave or eradicate the remaining Insurgency sympathizers. Would Superman still be the main villain in this storyline? Would Batman find a way to escape? Who else would join forces with Batman to dethrone Superman? It seems that even with just a Brainiac tech-powered Superman, a Motherbox-powered cyborg, a man granted the powers of 6 gods, an Amazonian warrior who was born from the Old Gods, and an Atlantean who is the king of the Sea would be too much for the Insurgency to handle without the tactical prowess and moral restraint of Batman. Another issue is that there wouldn’t be much to work with for different villains. Take the Lantern villains for example. The only thing that could be accomplished with the Lanterns is an event akin to the Sinestro Corps War. I personally thought that was one of the greatest GL stories of all time, but it would be difficult to use that as a means of grabbing fans’ attention because (1) the story is solely focused on Batman’s and Superman’s struggle with freedom for the people versus enacting justice no matter the cost, and (2) Green Lantern isn’t a part of the Trinity. So which of the Batman and Superman villains who are still alive would prove to be a worthy threat to both the Regime and the Insurgency? Grodd (and the Society) is dead, Braniac is either imprisoned or dead, Ra’s al-Ghul is dead, Darkseid seemed to abide by his agreement with Superman to never return, Trigon is gone... Who else would be a big enough threat for the Justice League gallery that wouldn’t make Injustice 3 a redundant plot where Batman frees Superman and then fights him in the end? The closest ideas I could even think of for a legitimate storyline for a potential Injustice 3 is either a spinoff of “Kindom Come” or the initial premise of “Flashpoint” where Barry Allen/The Flash would travel back in time to undo the changes brought by Injustice 1 & 2. The problem with *that* would be the fact that either ending wouldn’t really matter. You would either have a scene featuring Bruce and Barry debating about fixing their timeline or a scene that features Barry ultimately making that decision due to how much Superman has become drunk off the power of his newly obtained Brainiac tech. If time travel was used, the past stories would only be relevant to why Barry would travel back in time to fix everything and not really relevant to anything else. This isn’t to say that an Injustice 3 story is impossible to write, but writing a story that derives from either of the Injustice 2 endings would be difficult to do without making the story redundant and/or boring. What are your thoughts?
@@Blyegh It felt like the writer's didn't even read the past comics. Damian killing Zasz in front of Bats ans Supes yet in the comic Damian just went to Zasz cell and killed him. They messed up a perfectly good storyline imo. No with Superman in the phantom zone I guess we do have atleast get a new ending or a bad story as you said. Hopefully they fix this problem, and in the next game add a block button.
It's true insofar as self defense against slander or physical attacks, but can't be extrapolated as far as Rob is arguing. "Fighting words," is a real thing, at least in the US, where you can be physically held accountable for your words, if they are a real threat, which is fine. If someone says, "I'm gonna kick your ass," you hit them first, it's self defense. If someone says, "your moral perspective is not moral and you are corrupt, I'm going to fight to change the people's view from your own," no threat to any person is being made, but that is what Superman kills that crowd over, a threat to his own perspective.
I think it would be cool to see the story progress from where it left off. The world is trying to recover from the damage that superman caused BUT half the people want to go back to the way things were and the other half, recognizing his effectiveness, wanting to maintain a pseudo version of supermans rule. Batman reforms a group of unaffiliated heros (great chance to bring in new or rarely seen characters) to work behind the scenes and put a stop to mini superman-esque regimes popping up. Some of supermans followers break out and try to stoke the embers of supermans rule. Then there can be a little cat and mouse game goin where batman is trying to catch them before they re establish another regime and possibly break superman out

Okay but they already explored this possibility in the Injustice comics. They did like a flashback thing and showed how things would've turned out if Batman killed Joker that day I doubt they'll do something extremely similar and make a full story out of it.

So far it goes: " things could've been different; If they were still here, to guide us. to inspire us." From the direction it seems things get dark or very bleak, ones. Seems like if it it isn't Batman who lost his way then it's definitely the other heroes or even the world. Tom Taylor said another teaser would be realase any second now, but it won't be a letter.

To me at least hearing that quote “things could have been different” lead me to believe that the injustice world is going to go through something akin to Flashpoint. Like it could open with yet another gigantic battle resulting in severe casualties and for Bruce this is the straw the breaks the camels back and he decides to go back in time to the events leading up to Lois Lanes death and fix things and I think it would be really cool if Batman somehow trapped the Flash on the cosmic treadmill forcing him to run and open a time portal and have him go through this Flashpoint

Enough is enough. Ok, so the plot is Dark Nights Metal, except no holding hands for the Spirit Bomb at the end. They have to fight the invading forces of the Dark Multiverse with tactics! Superman has a field day because he's been training his whole life to fight Batmen.
I like the idea of Dark Multiverse Lois searching for and finding a world where she didn't accidentally kill Clark. She finds herself in a universe where not only is Clark still alive but he no longer concerns himself with half-measures so armed with the powers of Eradicator she sets out to redeem Clark but it's a dark redemption arc. She's not turning him into the hero he once was but instead into the hero she wanted him to be after Eradicator corrupted her

I think the Injustice 3 story should be about the black lantern corps, having Nekron as the main threat and having his corps sweeping cross the dc universe having the remaining JL and the green lanterns having to stop Nekron. also having a multiverse with brother eye contacting the other alternate universe JL to help them.
If 3 comes,it must have a larger roster than 2,multiple intros and outros alongside at least 2 Super Moves per character and lots of other franchise characters like Neo( Matrix),Kratos (2018), some characters from Watchmen,Constantine,Spawn,Witchblade,alongside fellow characters from DC like Superboy Prime,Damage,Captain Atom/Monarch,Orion,Sodam Yat,Manchester Black,characters from Image comics like Invincible,Omni-Man,Rex Splode and high tier characters from MK like Blaze,Shao Kahn,Onaga. It would cool if they brought some DLC characters from Marvel too,and that shouldn't be shocking since that IS an idea by Ed Boon and Netherrealm for a long time

I think in injustice 3 they can do whatever they want but at the end Batman tells Flash to make a Flashpoint 2 making a new timeline and so that’s the finale to injustice series and basically tells what would happen if Superman went insane
Actually, that's what I wanted throughout all of Injustice, for the _real bad guys to roll in and take the gloves off, show Superman how it's really done. -or a panel where Grundy comes from out of nowhere, headless, and takes Superman out with a cheap shot, or maybe Grundy's head is sewn on backwards, that feels like Grundy.
Batman is a hero, not a badguy. True heroes don’t kill criminals or anyone. It’s not his way. He do things for what’s right. Superman has changed and became a different person after Lois Lane’s death by the Joker and explosion of metropolis.
I love injustice. But I hate how they massively underpowered most characters that aren't superman (actually he's quite balanced for a superman gone off the rails it's just that underpowering everyone else crazily makes him look ten times stronger). Like Shazam and Dr fate for example and more.
Shazam is close but I do t feel like he was supes equal. You gotta remember that Superman always holds back so Shazam would be equal to a Superman that holds back.

They should go with Batman ending and do a reboot of the Batman Beyond universe. Make Damien the new Ra’s Al Ghoul, have Batman create a new JL with the help of Firestorm and Blue Beetle, and introduce Terry McGinnis. Also don’t forget about Nana Harley lol.
I would want Injustice 3 to be based on the Injustice Society. Seeing Batman versus Owlman? Especially if they can get James Woods back to do the voice? Incredible. Also, Ultraman would be interesting to see. They could prop him up as seemingly the replacement Regime Superman, only to turn around and have Owlman as the true villain. (I would also want a scene of Bruce trying to use Kryptonite on Ultraman, and Ultraman is just like: "Why are you trying to threaten me with a rock?" )

Ra's Al Ghul should be in the next Injustice game. His super should be in the sand world from Arkham City where he summons his sand golems to attack the opponent then for the end use his giant sand golem to finish the move out dropping down his giant sword onto the opponent.
@@teipsum4887 well then he can be DLC. DLCs are usually non canon to the story. Martian Manhunter died in the comics before the events of the first game story and yet he was in Injustice as a DLC.
Injustice 3 is gonna be a take on Crisis on Infinite combined with the usual Injustice plot with a Flashpoint twist. The good endings of the characters combined with the apparent canon ending of Superman merging with Brainiac’s ship essentially dialing his original plan up to 11, eliminating free will and even creating a robotic clone of Batman, Bruce Wayne. Causing Damien becoming a new Batman, this time fighting against Superman. The good endings of characters include mentions of the of the multiverse, Legion of Super-Heroes, and some sort of upcoming Crisis. So I think it’s possible that they are going to do a take on Crisis combined with Zero Hour and Flashpoint except instead of Parallax, it’ll be Superman discovering the nature of time trying to eliminate all crime or something like that. Combined with either the Anti-Monitor, Darkseid (ala Final Crisis), or some other multiverse-level threat. I originally thought this set up was leading to the Injustice Universe’s inclusion in Crisis 2020 (which we now know to be Death Metal) but now I think that’s what the new game is. The quote from Batman is probably a quote from Dami-Bats explaining how they can use Crisis to their advantage. Trying to use it to change the events of the original game (or comic depending on how you look at it) hence the Flashpoint spin.

My idea for a plot, or a set-up scenario. Batman finally realizes his crusade was a wild goose chase. The Joker is doing his usual thing and Batman decides that enough is enough. The Joker in a public setting in the night of Gotham, goes to threaten to kill some hostages (probably someone important to Batman, like Alfred). Batman finds and battles the Joker, saving Alfred. However, the Joker realizes something is...off about this fight. He's been beaten by Batman more times than he can count, but he knows that Batman has never hit him THAT hard before. It takes the Joker seconds to realize that the only reason his hits would be THIS impactful, is because Batman is hitting the Joker with killing intent. The Joker bares his signature sinister smile and laughs mid-fight between punches as he thinks to himself "have I won?!! Have I finally won?!! Have I proven to tall, brooding and edgy that his "code" is nothing more than a bad JOKE?!! HAHAHHAHAHAA" Batman slams the Joker on his back, knocking all the wind out of him. He then says to Joker "I know what you're thinking. You were right the entire time." Allies and close friends of the Dark Knight look on in shock in horror as he crosses the line he swore he wouldn't, by beating the Joker to death. Its silent, no one says a word, not the heroes, other villains watching, cops, or civilians. A dead Joker lays beaten and bloodied with a twisted smile still on his face. Batman doesnt bother looking up, he grapples onto his summoned Batwing and leaves. The media goes haywire when the news hits. People who looked up to Batman are confused, others who never liked him are even more against him now. After some time passes, maybe a few days, the Justice League (not all of them) goes to Batman to talk to him. Alfred lets them in, he himself hasnt spoken to Batman nor see him come out of the cave since that night. They express their sympathy as to why Batman had crossed that line, but they know he is unwell and they fear that if he goes unchecked, he will cross over to the other side. An argument ensues as Batman defends himself. "You think i enjoyed what i've done?! That i hadnt exhausted every other possible option to avoid this?! Look me in the eye and tell me you wouldnt have done the same, had it been YOUR loved ones the Joker held hostage!! TELL ME!!!" Superman then replies "Listen Bruce, i understand your anger. But you told me yourself that if you ever crossed that line, that you'd never come back. I dont want that to happen, so im holding you to what you told me." Batman becomes even more enraged as he replies "So what? Im a criminal now because i did what needed to be done? NO. Be serious, all of you have killed either directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentional. What do you think happens when youre fighting through the skies and crashing each others heads through buildings? People die from the collateral damage left in the wake of your battles! Yet ive never considered any of you as the bad guys!" Green Lantern replies "But you did make contingency plans to stop the League in case of any unfortunate events!" Batman replies "Because you people posses god-like power that if left unchecked could be the undoing of everyone on the planet." Superman now getting agitated says "Look, Bruce! Point is, we cant just look the other way and pretend you havent done what youve done! If we have to be kept in check because of the POTENTIAL danger we could pose to society, then dammit, so should you! Im asking you as your friend, turn yourself in" Batman with cold and angry eyes, looks Superman in the face and says "....NO"

That is so wrong, its almost hilarious. Freedom of speech basically boils down to: "You're allowed to voice a difference of opinion from the governmentally approved one". That is it. Everything else is governments being "Nice".

I would like a Batman Beyond Injustice story where the entire story takes place in the Beyond future, Terry as Batman, Bruce as President, and Superman escaping to face a whole new generation of super heroes and villains, I think that'd be rad as heck
Honestly if I was in charge of making Injustice 3 I split it up into multiple storylines not a lot but definitely enough to keep you interested like I think a story about Bruce and Damian would be pretty cool just them alone
Imagine he starts over and makes it an alternate universe where batman's the one who lost it and killed all the villains in Gotham. Everyone tries to stop him and bring him back only for him to use his contingency plans on the heroes who are against him.
I personally like the evil Batman idea, but one from a different universe. Somehow the two universes collide with evil Batman and evil Superman fighting and the good guys from both universes making up a third faction. Kind of a twisted Kingdom Come thing.
Neckron as main villain would make sense. Plus could be handy for NRS if they want to bring back characters that are dead. Have them like the revenants in the latest Mortal Kombat games. Just a thought. EDIT: Oh my God if they go down this route we have to get Yellow Lanturn Scarecrow and play as him 😶😶🤤🤤
Personally I'd adjust it to where Superman unknowingly killed Batman as well, perhaps seeing him as Darkseid next to Lois's Doomsday, and see how it'd unfold without Batman involved. Batman might be able to fight him off for a while but without much preparation he'll probably die. You could also not let the league know that Superman saw Darkseid instead of Batman and have everyone immediately against Superman, the league genuinely thinking he's gone crazy and Bruce's preparation all this time was justified. If this happened we could see Superman fight the entire league except for Batman, and if things got bad enough Flash could go back in time, grab Bruce a few attoseconds before he dies, and then bring him back to fight Superman with the league. I'd love to see Superman vs. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Flash, the main four Justice League members if you ask me, or even better, Superman vs. the rest of the original seven JLA members at once. TLDR: Superman vs. the entire DC universe, no allies, no regime, and Batman dies before he can help
I dont know how you can completely support superman's ideology majorly flawed in the end he just ends up becoming a dictator you have to be on batman's side at that point
Injustice 3 Plot: Comic starts with Batman saying “I think things could’ve been different”. Batman then decides to harness the speed force and go back in time using Barry Allen as a speed force battery. He then proceeds to tell Superman about The Joker’s plan and Superman stops The Joker. Everything seems like it worked out until we learn the Joker had a backup plan. His plan involved a bomb placed into Damian Wayne. The bomb goes off killing Damian and Alfred tells Bruce that Damian was killed by the Joker. Batman then proceeds to snap saying “He tried to control this world, but I will bring it to its knees”. Then we basically get Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, but it’s Batman.
Crisis of Justice. Justice crisis. Infinite injustice. Final Injustice. Who knows but a crisis level injustice event involving multiverse of characters is next logical step
With the "I think it could have been different" I'm betting they're going with the endgame school of writing and doing a time travel plot. Hell, I'd put money on the idea that brainiac had some time travel tech
Based on the tweet, I think it might be a Flashpoint story, in which Batman tries to convince Flash of helping him prevent the fall of Superman. However, if I had to write a Injustice 3 story, I would go with Trigon for a change. It would involve the Justice League: Dark or at least a version of it and through visions, nightmares and illusions, I would also include the Dark Knights but only as way to mess with Batman's psyche (as in, they aren't the real Dark Knights and they are just illusions). They are quite popular (if a bit overused) but I think they could serve their purpose in the story this way and if it would be a game, it would make for fantastic premier skins. Prelude: A simple start with a regular villain team like Silver Banshee and Clayface and others causing havoc, trying to break out Doomsday. This group fails to retrieve him and after being interrogated by Batman, he learns that they had missed the real leader of the group, Shade, who moments later successfully retrieves Doomsday for a secret group(the original team only had to create an entrance and distract the heroes from Shade's involvement. Story: The mysterious group attacks Atlantis with Doomsday and kills Aquaman, leaving Mera on the throne, angry and pissed but without much information about who is behind it. Batman eventually assembles a team, a Justice League Dark, with the help of Constantine, consisting out themselves, John Stewart, a reformed Manchester Black and Etrigan. Eventually, they learn that the Church of Blood is behind it and they are after a weapon once wielded by Trigon but now disappeared. In order to get a head of the Church, they have to learn more about the weapon, which they do through Vandal Savage, who also reveals that it is the only weapon that could force Trigon to end a deal. But the pieces of this Spear, belong to three kingdoms: Altantis, Kahndaq and Olympus. Each trip is difficult and each time, members of the Church seem to be a step ahead of them each time. In Atlantis, they are confronted by Atrocitus and Brother Blood, who have turned Mera mad and during the battle, Brother Blood, manipulates Batman into seeing The Drowned instead of Mera for the second half of the duel. Eventually they defeat Mera (Black tries to convince Batman in killing Mera), only to learn that Blood already has re-awakened the Dead King Atlan and only through Etrigan (Fire vs Ice) are they victorious and able to take the first piece. In Olympus, something similar happens as they confront Doomsday again, before a mysterious voice asks Batman why he never dared to use the Doomsday Virus and become like Doomsday to stop Superman. Doomsday becomes the Devastator. Eventually they win and meet Zeus, only to learn Zeus no longer has his piece but gave it to Ares long ago. Ares is in the middle of striking a deal with Psymon and when he asks Batman if he would be a better War God, Psymon creates an illusion that turns Ares in the Merciless. Psymon also reveals that there is a mole amongst them, before Manchester takes him out in a non-lethal way as demanded by Batman. They also manage to defeat Ares and take his piece. In Kahndaq, they are awaited by Raven who orders Adam to give them the piece. Believing it to be a trick, she eventually convinces them, claiming to have changed and defeating Adam for them when he refuses only to disappear afterwards. Hower she also reveals that the spear can be used against Trigon and force him to end a deal. This causes a divide between Batman and Constantine and eventually Constantine tricks Batman and goes to Savage. Savage re-assembles it but turns into Cain and becomes violent. When Constantine defeats Savage, he is found by the rest of the group and a verbal fight breaks out, with Etrigan breaking things up and say they should better focus on what Psymon meant with a mole in their midst. He quickly turns to Black but almost immediately Batman turns to Stewart, finally having figured out. Stewart, corrupted by feelings of guilt over not being able to do more during the Superman Crisis, reveals himself an Ultraviolet Lantern and a pawn in the game of Trigon. A fight ensues but when Stewart wins, he takes the spear to Raven. The gang gets to her just in time when she reveals she isn't out of surprises and opens a portal from which the Joker steps out. She accuses Batman's inaction of her turning into her father's slave and if he had taken out the Joker, her friends wouldn't died and she wouldn't have fallen. She finishes with the question if he ever asked himself if he wasn't just as bad as the Joker, before turning the Joker into the Batman Who Laughs, if he is any better than those who served the regime and now have fallen under her control: revealing the Flash, Cyborg and John Stewart, all mind-controlled, before turning them into Red Death, Murder Machine and The Dawnbreaker. Eventually, they manage to defeat Raven and her crownies but a human avatar of Trigon steps through the portal and Constantine fights Trigon. Once defeated, it is time for Batman to face his demons and he gets a choice, kill Trigon and take his place or spare Trigon, cast him away but John will still with the deal hanging above his head. It would be up to the player to choose or if it is a comic, both written and upto the reader to decide which one is the real one. In short: a story that forces Batman to evaluate his role in the Injustice story, his actions and inactions and to see if he is really as good as he believes himself to be.
The sad thing is that Rob doesn't seem to realize "Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of consequence." being used in this context is the exact same as its being used in the real world, as a justification of violence. The heart of freedom of speech is that, no, you shouldn't face violence and threats for your speech, unless that speech itself calls for violence.

Injustice 1 is really great and engaging while Injustice 2 was a downward spiral. Deaths are not surprising anymore and feels more detached. I read 2 alongside the Dark Nights: Metal and I can definitely say that DN:M was more engaging than Injustice 2. I really hope that 3 will improve things.
I think this one will be a bit more time travel based. Batman goes back and maybe stops Lois from dying, but then the Joker still blows up Metropolis, this time killing Lois that way. Now Days of Future Bats is scrambling to keep the same events from playing out, and itll diverge but Supes will still be bad

If injustice 3 is a thing, one of two things is do. Plot A, Barry tries to flashpoint this universe and prevent superman going off the rails. Plot B a kingdom come style story that sees a new generation of heroes restarting the regime and freeing superman
Injustice was awesome. Batman wished things could be different because instead of grieving with his friend he started pushing his ideology on him. Ppl keep saying Superman was right, no he wasn’t. Jokers plan was to bring Superman down to his level, the same plan Batman has thwarted time after time, but it worked on the man of steel. Saying joker doesn’t deserve a chance at redemption is saying Superman doesn’t deserve one either for all the innocents he killed regardless of why. The real hero of that story is the Flash.
Takes places after Supermans ending in Injustice 2. The Resistance just barely frees supergirl who then try to free batman from being brainwashed. Once that's down the two factions fight once and for all. I feel like some bigger threats gonna make an appearance, kinda like Injustice 2, only this time either superman or batman will sacrifice themselves. Something along those lines
Putting the quote in context, I think I would go for something like Flashpoint. Barry finally travels back in time to 'fix' things and just go from there
One of the biggest things that came out for Batman is the prospect that if he was THERE for Superman instead of acting like a jackass, Superman may NOT have been a tyrant. It's possible he has Barry Allen bring him back in time and, like the old man in Alex Ross' Kingdom Come, save Superman from himself.
I feel like Injustice 3 would be an apocalyptic brawl between all heroes and villains, to the point where everyone is an Anti-hero. Kinda like the opening to DC Universe Online

It literally is just a mediocre what if story that keeps repeating itself. All first 5 years are basically same thing happening over and over again with different themes. Just because there are paradoxes in continuity doesn't mean level of writing is worse than injustice. Inconsistencies are inevitable in continuity whether it's marvel or dc. But hey you can enjoy it if you want to!

The funny thing about the Injustice series is that I never found myself disagreeing with what Superman was trying to do. The man lost everything: his wife, his kid, his home, everything he stood for taken away in an instant. My only real issue was the way he went about things.
No man, hero or human should place themselves in the place of a god. Superman killing criminals isn’t my problem, if I had his powers the Joker would be dead a long time ago - and the various asylums and prisons that criminals constantly break out of would be reformed _yesterday._ Yet killing Green Arrow, murdering Billy, becoming an avatar of the literal embodiment of fear in the D.C universe (a yellow lantern), that’s not justice - that’s a dictatorship. He killed so many innocents, put so many under his heel that his crusade for “justice” became muddled. The ends here do not justify the means, as Superman ended up going full Justice Lords on not only the planet, but multiple planets and organizations. He *slaughtered* the Green Lantern Corps like he was swatting a fly, like their lives were just an obstacle in the way of his crusade.
Superman didn’t step over a line killing the Joker, he stepped over the line by cementing himself as a god amongst men.
And that's how dictators always come to be...

deshaun fortune It would be difficult though. Suppose the writers took off from the ending where Batman defeated Superman and imprisoned him in the Phantom Zone. Would Superman get OUT of the Phantom Zone? If so, how?
The problem with that idea is that there isn’t much to keep the story fresh. Take Darkseid as a potential antagonist for the 3rd installment of the series. While Darkseid is still around for example, the problem with reintroducing him into the Injustice universe (in the game, not just the comics) is that Batman would have to repeat the idea of bringing Superman back from confinement, and it would be too easy for writers to recreate the ending to Injustice 2 where Batman and Superman trade blows. Replace Darkseid with the other major villains featured in the comics who weren’t killed off (Ares for example), and you would have the same problem.
Even with the ending where Superman wins and essentially lobotomizes Batman (or are least puts Batman under his control-same thing imo), the story would still have very little to go off of. Assuming Superman *did* win, his plan would ultimately be to either enslave or eradicate the remaining Insurgency sympathizers. Would Superman still be the main villain in this storyline? Would Batman find a way to escape? Who else would join forces with Batman to dethrone Superman? It seems that even with just a Brainiac tech-powered Superman, a Motherbox-powered cyborg, a man granted the powers of 6 gods, an Amazonian warrior who was born from the Old Gods, and an Atlantean who is the king of the Sea would be too much for the Insurgency to handle without the tactical prowess and moral restraint of Batman.
Another issue is that there wouldn’t be much to work with for different villains. Take the Lantern villains for example. The only thing that could be accomplished with the Lanterns is an event akin to the Sinestro Corps War. I personally thought that was one of the greatest GL stories of all time, but it would be difficult to use that as a means of grabbing fans’ attention because (1) the story is solely focused on Batman’s and Superman’s struggle with freedom for the people versus enacting justice no matter the cost, and (2) Green Lantern isn’t a part of the Trinity. So which of the Batman and Superman villains who are still alive would prove to be a worthy threat to both the Regime and the Insurgency? Grodd (and the Society) is dead, Braniac is either imprisoned or dead, Ra’s al-Ghul is dead, Darkseid seemed to abide by his agreement with Superman to never return, Trigon is gone... Who else would be a big enough threat for the Justice League gallery that wouldn’t make Injustice 3 a redundant plot where Batman frees Superman and then fights him in the end?
The closest ideas I could even think of for a legitimate storyline for a potential Injustice 3 is either a spinoff of “Kindom Come” or the initial premise of “Flashpoint” where Barry Allen/The Flash would travel back in time to undo the changes brought by Injustice 1 & 2. The problem with *that* would be the fact that either ending wouldn’t really matter. You would either have a scene featuring Bruce and Barry debating about fixing their timeline or a scene that features Barry ultimately making that decision due to how much Superman has become drunk off the power of his newly obtained Brainiac tech. If time travel was used, the past stories would only be relevant to why Barry would travel back in time to fix everything and not really relevant to anything else.
This isn’t to say that an Injustice 3 story is impossible to write, but writing a story that derives from either of the Injustice 2 endings would be difficult to do without making the story redundant and/or boring.

@@Blyegh It felt like the writer's didn't even read the past comics. Damian killing Zasz in front of Bats ans Supes yet in the comic Damian just went to Zasz cell and killed him. They messed up a perfectly good storyline imo. No with Superman in the phantom zone I guess we do have atleast get a new ending or a bad story as you said. Hopefully they fix this problem, and in the next game add a block button.

It's true insofar as self defense against slander or physical attacks, but can't be extrapolated as far as Rob is arguing.
"Fighting words," is a real thing, at least in the US, where you can be physically held accountable for your words, if they are a real threat, which is fine. If someone says, "I'm gonna kick your ass," you hit them first, it's self defense. If someone says, "your moral perspective is not moral and you are corrupt, I'm going to fight to change the people's view from your own," no threat to any person is being made, but that is what Superman kills that crowd over, a threat to his own perspective.

I think it would be cool to see the story progress from where it left off. The world is trying to recover from the damage that superman caused BUT half the people want to go back to the way things were and the other half, recognizing his effectiveness, wanting to maintain a pseudo version of supermans rule. Batman reforms a group of unaffiliated heros (great chance to bring in new or rarely seen characters) to work behind the scenes and put a stop to mini superman-esque regimes popping up. Some of supermans followers break out and try to stoke the embers of supermans rule. Then there can be a little cat and mouse game goin where batman is trying to catch them before they re establish another regime and possibly break superman out

She's not turning him into the hero he once was but instead into the hero she wanted him to be after Eradicator corrupted her

I think in injustice 3 they can do whatever they want but at the end Batman tells Flash to make a Flashpoint 2 making a new timeline and so that’s the finale to injustice series and basically tells what would happen if Superman went insane

Batman is a hero, not a badguy. True heroes don’t kill criminals or anyone. It’s not his way. He do things for what’s right.
Superman has changed and became a different person after Lois Lane’s death by the Joker and explosion of metropolis.
I love injustice. But I hate how they massively underpowered most characters that aren't superman (actually he's quite balanced for a superman gone off the rails it's just that underpowering everyone else crazily makes him look ten times stronger). Like Shazam and Dr fate for example and more.
Shazam is close but I do t feel like he was supes equal. You gotta remember that Superman always holds back so Shazam would be equal to a Superman that holds back.

Or he may have not have been killed in the comics yet, but I remember them killing him in a stupid way in a video I watched about the game. I think batman just tore off his helmet which was total rubbish and they beat him to death basically.
They should go with Batman ending and do a reboot of the Batman Beyond universe. Make Damien the new Ra’s Al Ghoul, have Batman create a new JL with the help of Firestorm and Blue Beetle, and introduce Terry McGinnis. Also don’t forget about Nana Harley lol.

I would want Injustice 3 to be based on the Injustice Society. Seeing Batman versus Owlman? Especially if they can get James Woods back to do the voice? Incredible.
Also, Ultraman would be interesting to see. They could prop him up as seemingly the replacement Regime Superman, only to turn around and have Owlman as the true villain.
(I would also want a scene of Bruce trying to use Kryptonite on Ultraman, and Ultraman is just like: "Why are you trying to threaten me with a rock?" )

Injustice 3 is gonna be a take on Crisis on Infinite combined with the usual Injustice plot with a Flashpoint twist. The good endings of the characters combined with the apparent canon ending of Superman merging with Brainiac’s ship essentially dialing his original plan up to 11, eliminating free will and even creating a robotic clone of Batman, Bruce Wayne. Causing Damien becoming a new Batman, this time fighting against Superman. The good endings of characters include mentions of the of the multiverse, Legion of Super-Heroes, and some sort of upcoming Crisis. So I think it’s possible that they are going to do a take on Crisis combined with Zero Hour and Flashpoint except instead of Parallax, it’ll be Superman discovering the nature of time trying to eliminate all crime or something like that. Combined with either the Anti-Monitor, Darkseid (ala Final Crisis), or some other multiverse-level threat. I originally thought this set up was leading to the Injustice Universe’s inclusion in Crisis 2020 (which we now know to be Death Metal) but now I think that’s what the new game is. The quote from Batman is probably a quote from Dami-Bats explaining how they can use Crisis to their advantage. Trying to use it to change the events of the original game (or comic depending on how you look at it) hence the Flashpoint spin.

My idea for a plot, or a set-up scenario.
Batman finally realizes his crusade was a wild goose chase. The Joker is doing his usual thing and Batman decides that enough is enough. The Joker in a public setting in the night of Gotham, goes to threaten to kill some hostages (probably someone important to Batman, like Alfred).
Batman finds and battles the Joker, saving Alfred. However, the Joker realizes something is...off about this fight. He's been beaten by Batman more times than he can count, but he knows that Batman has never hit him THAT hard before. It takes the Joker seconds to realize that the only reason his hits would be THIS impactful, is because Batman is hitting the Joker with killing intent. The Joker bares his signature sinister smile and laughs mid-fight between punches as he thinks to himself "have I won?!! Have I finally won?!! Have I proven to tall, brooding and edgy that his "code" is nothing more than a bad JOKE?!! HAHAHHAHAHAA"
Batman slams the Joker on his back, knocking all the wind out of him. He then says to Joker "I know what you're thinking. You were right the entire time." Allies and close friends of the Dark Knight look on in shock in horror as he crosses the line he swore he wouldn't, by beating the Joker to death. Its silent, no one says a word, not the heroes, other villains watching, cops, or civilians. A dead Joker lays beaten and bloodied with a twisted smile still on his face. Batman doesnt bother looking up, he grapples onto his summoned Batwing and leaves. The media goes haywire when the news hits. People who looked up to Batman are confused, others who never liked him are even more against him now.
After some time passes, maybe a few days, the Justice League (not all of them) goes to Batman to talk to him. Alfred lets them in, he himself hasnt spoken to Batman nor see him come out of the cave since that night. They express their sympathy as to why Batman had crossed that line, but they know he is unwell and they fear that if he goes unchecked, he will cross over to the other side.
An argument ensues as Batman defends himself.
"You think i enjoyed what i've done?! That i hadnt exhausted every other possible option to avoid this?! Look me in the eye and tell me you wouldnt have done the same, had it been YOUR loved ones the Joker held hostage!! TELL ME!!!"
Superman then replies "Listen Bruce, i understand your anger. But you told me yourself that if you ever crossed that line, that you'd never come back. I dont want that to happen, so im holding you to what you told me."
Batman becomes even more enraged as he replies "So what? Im a criminal now because i did what needed to be done? NO. Be serious, all of you have killed either directly or indirectly, intentionally or unintentional. What do you think happens when youre fighting through the skies and crashing each others heads through buildings? People die from the collateral damage left in the wake of your battles! Yet ive never considered any of you as the bad guys!"
Green Lantern replies "But you did make contingency plans to stop the League in case of any unfortunate events!"
Batman replies "Because you people posses god-like power that if left unchecked could be the undoing of everyone on the planet."
Superman now getting agitated says "Look, Bruce! Point is, we cant just look the other way and pretend you havent done what youve done! If we have to be kept in check because of the POTENTIAL danger we could pose to society, then dammit, so should you! Im asking you as your friend, turn yourself in"
Batman with cold and angry eyes, looks Superman in the face and says "....NO"

I would like a Batman Beyond Injustice story where the entire story takes place in the Beyond future, Terry as Batman, Bruce as President, and Superman escaping to face a whole new generation of super heroes and villains, I think that'd be rad as heck
Honestly if I was in charge of making Injustice 3 I split it up into multiple storylines not a lot but definitely enough to keep you interested like I think a story about Bruce and Damian would be pretty cool just them alone

Imagine he starts over and makes it an alternate universe where batman's the one who lost it and killed all the villains in Gotham. Everyone tries to stop him and bring him back only for him to use his contingency plans on the heroes who are against him.
I personally like the evil Batman idea, but one from a different universe. Somehow the two universes collide with evil Batman and evil Superman fighting and the good guys from both universes making up a third faction. Kind of a twisted Kingdom Come thing.
Neckron as main villain would make sense. Plus could be handy for NRS if they want to bring back characters that are dead. Have them like the revenants in the latest Mortal Kombat games. Just a thought.

Personally I'd adjust it to where Superman unknowingly killed Batman as well, perhaps seeing him as Darkseid next to Lois's Doomsday, and see how it'd unfold without Batman involved. Batman might be able to fight him off for a while but without much preparation he'll probably die. You could also not let the league know that Superman saw Darkseid instead of Batman and have everyone immediately against Superman, the league genuinely thinking he's gone crazy and Bruce's preparation all this time was justified. If this happened we could see Superman fight the entire league except for Batman, and if things got bad enough Flash could go back in time, grab Bruce a few attoseconds before he dies, and then bring him back to fight Superman with the league.
I'd love to see Superman vs. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Flash, the main four Justice League members if you ask me, or even better, Superman vs. the rest of the original seven JLA members at once.
TLDR: Superman vs. the entire DC universe, no allies, no regime, and Batman dies before he can help

Injustice 3 Plot: Comic starts with Batman saying “I think things could’ve been different”. Batman then decides to harness the speed force and go back in time using Barry Allen as a speed force battery. He then proceeds to tell Superman about The Joker’s plan and Superman stops The Joker. Everything seems like it worked out until we learn the Joker had a backup plan. His plan involved a bomb placed into Damian Wayne. The bomb goes off killing Damian and Alfred tells Bruce that Damian was killed by the Joker. Batman then proceeds to snap saying “He tried to control this world, but I will bring it to its knees”. Then we basically get Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe, but it’s Batman.
They should do something with Vandal Savage for injustice 3

Based on the tweet, I think it might be a Flashpoint story, in which Batman tries to convince Flash of helping him prevent the fall of Superman.
However, if I had to write a Injustice 3 story, I would go with Trigon for a change. It would involve the Justice League: Dark or at least a version of it and through visions, nightmares and illusions, I would also include the Dark Knights but only as way to mess with Batman's psyche (as in, they aren't the real Dark Knights and they are just illusions). They are quite popular (if a bit overused) but I think they could serve their purpose in the story this way and if it would be a game, it would make for fantastic premier skins.
Prelude:
A simple start with a regular villain team like Silver Banshee and Clayface and others causing havoc, trying to break out Doomsday. This group fails to retrieve him and after being interrogated by Batman, he learns that they had missed the real leader of the group, Shade, who moments later successfully retrieves Doomsday for a secret group(the original team only had to create an entrance and distract the heroes from Shade's involvement.
Story:
The mysterious group attacks Atlantis with Doomsday and kills Aquaman, leaving Mera on the throne, angry and pissed but without much information about who is behind it. Batman eventually assembles a team, a Justice League Dark, with the help of Constantine, consisting out themselves, John Stewart, a reformed Manchester Black and Etrigan. Eventually, they learn that the Church of Blood is behind it and they are after a weapon once wielded by Trigon but now disappeared. In order to get a head of the Church, they have to learn more about the weapon, which they do through Vandal Savage, who also reveals that it is the only weapon that could force Trigon to end a deal. But the pieces of this Spear, belong to three kingdoms: Altantis, Kahndaq and Olympus. Each trip is difficult and each time, members of the Church seem to be a step ahead of them each time. In Atlantis, they are confronted by Atrocitus and Brother Blood, who have turned Mera mad and during the battle, Brother Blood, manipulates Batman into seeing The Drowned instead of Mera for the second half of the duel. Eventually they defeat Mera (Black tries to convince Batman in killing Mera), only to learn that Blood already has re-awakened the Dead King Atlan and only through Etrigan (Fire vs Ice) are they victorious and able to take the first piece.
In Olympus, something similar happens as they confront Doomsday again, before a mysterious voice asks Batman why he never dared to use the Doomsday Virus and become like Doomsday to stop Superman. Doomsday becomes the Devastator. Eventually they win and meet Zeus, only to learn Zeus no longer has his piece but gave it to Ares long ago. Ares is in the middle of striking a deal with Psymon and when he asks Batman if he would be a better War God, Psymon creates an illusion that turns Ares in the Merciless. Psymon also reveals that there is a mole amongst them, before Manchester takes him out in a non-lethal way as demanded by Batman. They also manage to defeat Ares and take his piece. In Kahndaq, they are awaited by Raven who orders Adam to give them the piece. Believing it to be a trick, she eventually convinces them, claiming to have changed and defeating Adam for them when he refuses only to disappear afterwards. Hower she also reveals that the spear can be used against Trigon and force him to end a deal. This causes a divide between Batman and Constantine and eventually Constantine tricks Batman and goes to Savage. Savage re-assembles it but turns into Cain and becomes violent. When Constantine defeats Savage, he is found by the rest of the group and a verbal fight breaks out, with Etrigan breaking things up and say they should better focus on what Psymon meant with a mole in their midst. He quickly turns to Black but almost immediately Batman turns to Stewart, finally having figured out. Stewart, corrupted by feelings of guilt over not being able to do more during the Superman Crisis, reveals himself an Ultraviolet Lantern and a pawn in the game of Trigon. A fight ensues but when Stewart wins, he takes the spear to Raven.
The gang gets to her just in time when she reveals she isn't out of surprises and opens a portal from which the Joker steps out. She accuses Batman's inaction of her turning into her father's slave and if he had taken out the Joker, her friends wouldn't died and she wouldn't have fallen. She finishes with the question if he ever asked himself if he wasn't just as bad as the Joker, before turning the Joker into the Batman Who Laughs, if he is any better than those who served the regime and now have fallen under her control: revealing the Flash, Cyborg and John Stewart, all mind-controlled, before turning them into Red Death, Murder Machine and The Dawnbreaker. Eventually, they manage to defeat Raven and her crownies but a human avatar of Trigon steps through the portal and Constantine fights Trigon. Once defeated, it is time for Batman to face his demons and he gets a choice, kill Trigon and take his place or spare Trigon, cast him away but John will still with the deal hanging above his head. It would be up to the player to choose or if it is a comic, both written and upto the reader to decide which one is the real one.
In short: a story that forces Batman to evaluate his role in the Injustice story, his actions and inactions and to see if he is really as good as he believes himself to be.
The sad thing is that Rob doesn't seem to realize "Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom of consequence." being used in this context is the exact same as its being used in the real world, as a justification of violence. The heart of freedom of speech is that, no, you shouldn't face violence and threats for your speech, unless that speech itself calls for violence.
It scares me to hear people say Superman was right...the man murdered billy batson - a kid. Torching people for voicing their opinion?? Naw...but injustice comics was damn good. I think it is an injustice comic because of the 'I' has the same font I think.
Injustice 1 is really great and engaging while Injustice 2 was a downward spiral. Deaths are not surprising anymore and feels more detached. I read 2 alongside the Dark Nights: Metal and I can definitely say that DN:M was more engaging than Injustice 2. I really hope that 3 will improve things.
I think this one will be a bit more time travel based. Batman goes back and maybe stops Lois from dying, but then the Joker still blows up Metropolis, this time killing Lois that way. Now Days of Future Bats is scrambling to keep the same events from playing out, and itll diverge but Supes will still be bad

If injustice 3 is a thing, one of two things is do. Plot A, Barry tries to flashpoint this universe and prevent superman going off the rails. Plot B a kingdom come style story that sees a new generation of heroes restarting the regime and freeing superman
Injustice was awesome. Batman wished things could be different because instead of grieving with his friend he started pushing his ideology on him. Ppl keep saying Superman was right, no he wasn’t. Jokers plan was to bring Superman down to his level, the same plan Batman has thwarted time after time, but it worked on the man of steel. Saying joker doesn’t deserve a chance at redemption is saying Superman doesn’t deserve one either for all the innocents he killed regardless of why. The real hero of that story is the Flash.
Takes places after Supermans ending in Injustice 2. The Resistance just barely frees supergirl who then try to free batman from being brainwashed. Once that's down the two factions fight once and for all. I feel like some bigger threats gonna make an appearance, kinda like Injustice 2, only this time either superman or batman will sacrifice themselves. Something along those lines
Putting the quote in context, I think I would go for something like Flashpoint. Barry finally travels back in time to 'fix' things and just go from there
One of the biggest things that came out for Batman is the prospect that if he was THERE for Superman instead of acting like a jackass, Superman may NOT have been a tyrant. It's possible he has Barry Allen bring him back in time and, like the old man in Alex Ross' Kingdom Come, save Superman from himself.
