    Good review! I was just looking at this model at Home Depot.. One tip I learned years ago. Wrap a panty hose over your filter, and take the legs and tie it on. Will keep your filter clean for along time.

    Great vacuum, now all I need is a Milwaukee 20-foot OEM hose for the car and RV.

      That would be a good option. Thanks for posting! 👍

    I bought this 3 years ago about 2 months after adopting my dog. There really isn't a better cordless shop vac on the market for cleaning dog hair and dirt out of your car. I also use this for spot cleanup around my house much more often than a normal vacuum. For anyone looking into cordless shop vacs, the convenience of the integrated storage cannot be overstated. You can store this rectangular cube literally anywhere in your house because hoses and handles aren't dangling off of it.

      I bought the bags almost immediately because dog hair quickly clogged the HEPA filter. I've had very few issues with the bags staying in place even though they were clearly intended for the M18 vac.

    I’ve been using this since it came out and use it all the time and I love it for appliance install and sometimes service. I’ve run it both wet and dry and I run the 6 amp hr. But it still doesn’t last too long.

      I have an XC 6Ah battery, that helps. It is handy but I sometimes wonder how it would compare to the 18v packout vac. Thanks for the feedback! 👍

      I service appliances and was considering this. I need something to clean out dryer lint mostly. Maybe cleaning refrigerator condensers.
      Curious if you have an update on the shop vac and how it’s held up?

    I have 18v Bosch tools and 12v Milwaukee and very happy with both. The hose on this unit seems very short compared to the Bosch……it looks like it’s only about 1/3 as long. I can use my Bosch unit sitting on the garage floor and vacuum over my head. Only reason I’ve considered this unit is one for sale locally for a great price. Very good overview btw.

    Is there any way to add a hose extension to the end of the hose it comes with?

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you could do that.

    I was just told that the M12 shop vacuum won't attach to the M12 3 in. cut off tool vacuum port. Does anyone know this to be true or is there an adapter the Milwaukee tech guy doesn't know about. Seems funny that the M12 vacuum won't attach to the M12 3 in. cutoff tool. When a company can't even connect to it's own equipment in the same product line something is wrong.

    I have love-hate relationship with my M18 packout vacuum. On one hand it is an amazing little vacuum that stores beautifully in my stack, on the other hand the adapter is some weird size that fits most, but not all, of Milwaukee’s vacuum accessories, and nothing else. It’s enough to give me a headache every time I think about it…

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for sharing! The packout aspect is handy but it seems a lot of people have the same experience you have. Comparatively speaking they seem to love the standard M18 that is not brushless and is not packet either.

      I bought the rigid hose with all the accessories and can leave my packout vacume in the hall and sand on the other side of the door in hotels its absolutely perfect its a love love relationship ❤ 12.0 and my palm sander with the dialblo sandnet catches all dust seriously

    Great video, thanks.
    The bellows on the rocker switch is to give it the IP54 rating, since it is a wet/dry vac.
    This vac is brilliant, but the fact that the M18 version nozzle is a push fit into all my m12 tool dust ports, yet the m12 nozzle is slightly larger and doesn't fit my m12 tools...To solve this, Milwaukee included a DEK26 adapter...which requires you to unthread the original nozzle off the hose, then re-thread the dek26 adapter onto the hose to attach to dust ports. Then when I want to use it as a normal vacuum with attachments...I have to go through all that again...What the fuck milwaukee?
    Also, I'm wondering if the bags were slipping off because people werent using the bag bracket attachment?

      Not in the store here either, I had to buy it online. The standard 18 Volt cordless Vac is nice too though it's not brushless. The 18V pack out version is a little too big for me.

      @@projectpinehills I already have M12 tools so the M12 vac would fit right in to my battery and charger. I might also get a M12 6 A so I have at least one large capacity to go with my M12 1.5 A batteries.

    How's the shop vac holding up? Have you tried it with a 8ft hose?

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not tried it yet with an 8ft hose. Where do you get that hose? Frankly, I haven't used it much yet. It's one of those things that will get used a lot at times and at the times, not so much.

    Sooooooooo quiet, but... battery life is still terrible in my opinion with an XC4.0. Great, well thought out design too.

    I find the m18 fuel packout vac much better for construction its the runtime that kills is it I can pop a 12ah m18 fuel who ever said m12 is better must like carrying a vacuum lmao I have both I use the m12 fuel at home for when the children leave crumbs lol and hang it back on the wall... but suction is in a whole different world on the m18 fuel packout

      Well, this vac is great for people that dont want to change platform to M18. I use m12 all day every day and when i borrow any colleagues 18/20v tools in a pinch, im amazed how heavy and cumbersone they are in comparison.
      A good stick vac with a powered brush bar is 1000x more suitsble for home use though.

      Vacuums have to have an air output to work.

    Just found your channel this evening. Good stuff. Must disagree about the M12 vacuum however. Found it to be grossly underpowered. The hard plastic nozzle separated from the flexible hose. Cute little thing, well designed but just underpowered and less than stellar build quality. 2.5/5 stars.

    • @projectpinehills
      @projectpinehills  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. You know that hard plastic nozzle will thread back on to the hose? I like its compact size but that’s not to say the 18 volt vacuum isn’t better. I’ve had a lot of people say they like the M18. Do you have an M18?

    • @sonofacheron
      @sonofacheron ปีที่แล้ว

      @@projectpinehills Thanks for replying. I’ll try to reinsert the nozzle into the hose per your suggestion. I love all M12 tools (except the mediocre vacuum) but would like to get the M18 for the angle grinder, leaf blower and more. Need a better job first as my purchasing power has diminished due to inflation! Look forward to watching more videos on this channel.
