Mohamed Farah Aided was a leader of the armed opposition groups that overthrew President Siad Barre's regime in 1991. he was one of the best in africa .
No. They had a map and shaded that area the Most dangerous area and requested heavier air support and vehicles. The pentagon denied that. They were nervous of the daytime raid in the Bakara Marrket but thwir Mission was time sensitive and they had to go at that time. Neither Delta or The Rangers ever questioned that at all.
Nope the narrator was right in saying delta is tip of the spear. SAS has less man power than a coast guard platoon and the budget of a small time police force. Last time I checked, SAS doesn’t have the capability to deploy anywhere within 48 hours delta force does 😂😂
@@VideoSpectator1223there’s reasons why most ex special forces say the SAS is the best and why the majority of special forces adopt the training of the SAS. Delta force are great don’t get me wrong but the SAS has formed a very feared and respected reputation going all the way back to world war 2. Especially in the Iranian Embassy siege. Also more people doesn’t always mean better unit. It means either their training is easier or because the country is much larger. Man for man the the SAS is better than delta force
@@VideoSpectator1223 Not true in every respect. Delta has 300 - 400 active combatants while the SAS has 500-600 in 22 SAS Regiment. The SAS has 2 reserve regiments SAS 21 and SAS 23. The UK has another version of the SAS specialising in marine special missions the SBS which typically has around 200-250 commandos. The SAS is respected by all the special services in the world as the first and best. That's just a fact and you saying otherwise is a nonsense born out of ignorance. Of course, Delta is very good at what they do they're just not in the same league as the UK's SAS or SBS.
In my opinion, there is no greater sacrifice that you can make than to be an American soldier. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your service.

Thank you America so much for coming to help our people when we needed international assistance the most. We’ll always remember your sacrifices made in the name of supporting Somalia. America has always been on the side of Somalia 🇸🇴❤️🇺🇸
It was the UN who helped the Somali people they were sent to alleviate the 1992 famine, and began trying to establish democracy and restore a central government. This fiasco involving the 2 Black Hawks was all-American. It was a mission to attack a meeting as part of the campaign to capture or kill Aidid's Interior Minister, Abdi Hasan Awale. who was attending a meeting involving prominent Habr Gidr members along with members of other Hawiye subclans and clan elders to discuss a peace initiative (this was corroborated by multiple aid and justice organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Doctors Without Borders, along with journalists in Mogadishu). Scant commentary was given to it at the end but the American forces trapped were rescued by a relief column of UN troops mainly Malaysian mechanized infantry companies, a Pakistani tank platoon and a US infantry (from the mountain division I think). It was regarded in Wahington as a fiasco and was one of the main reasons why US troops were ordered out of Somalia not long after.
America on the side of Somalia??? Are you on cough syrup?!! Maybe you were pumped by a big American steel pipe, a possibility too. But Now you're confused, it was a pipe not a real bobo!!! BRO!
The USA forces should've NEVER BEEN IN THAT FUKN COUNTRY! Waste of men and resources. The USA is NOT the worlds police dept even tho we have taken that role making the UN ABSOFUKNLUTELY worthless.
They never underestimated anybody. They had a map and shaded that area the Most dangerous area and requested heavier air support and vehicles. The pentagon denied that. I can't believe Black Ops would underestimate their opponent the way these teams did! They did not do their homework remotely as well as they thought! Black ops getting LOST in the city they went to abduct anyone?? They got lost WOW! A one-hour mission? Not! What a useless loss of our brave boys! I sure hope they learned that URBAN fighting is BEYOND hard! Ask the IDF dealing with this kind of dense population in Gaza. God bless the souls of the fallen in this horrific mission!
There is no special forces better than seal team six in America then after them the other seal teams follows after seal teams it is marines then after marines are the green beret delta force and army rangers are not near those forces I have mentioned.
My question is how those 30 men left behind made it back without any cover when every windown, alley and corner was fighting at them. And how did they manage to move outside of vehicles at the first place? Like it was so so much intense fire. And after all those 18 hours, how come only 18 soldiers died? Like they are portraying 20-30 soldiers were there by saying their callsigns, but actually a hundred soldiers were there.
I love how they keep saying Somalis but majority of the fighters were from one sub sub sub sub clan of Somalis 😭 US left Somalia with its tail in between its legs by 1% of the population
Apparently President Clinton did not give General Garrison any U.S. armor nor any A/C 130 Spectre Gunships . The Pakistan U.N. Forces had the only armor. The Clinton Administration badly botched this up. The Spectre Gunships are formidable and the enemy kill ratio by American forces would have been a game changer.

They always hide the real facts, the local Somali clan army in mogadishu shot down not 1 but 3 black hawk helicopters during the black hawk down battle, and they ended up killing upto 19 USA special forces soldiers in 3 hours of battle, the highest USA casualty of special forces since the Vietnam war. And this was done not by a unified Somali State and army since Somalia at that time was undergoing a civil war, but this impressive feat of humiliating defeating and forcing a world superpower to withdraw from your native country while the super powers soldiers literally (the videos are on TH-cam) run away with their tail between their hands, this feat is even more incredible because it was done not by a unified Somali State and army, but by a singular Somali clan that occupied only a quarter of Mogadishu city, so not even the whole city and it's clans fought that day, just one clan, and USA got humiliated further with a dead special forces soldier captured and dragged through the street with his dead corpse tired to a pick up truck, with another USA special forces soldier captured alive... USA learned never to directly send their army to invade Somali and the Somalis of the horn of Africa since we ain't weak or a roll over like the Arabs of Iraq or Libya
