Actober 2022, Day 5: This is Going to Hurt - Adam's Tribunal

Welcome to Day 5 - let's talk about a little drama that really hit me at the start of this year. I've not read Dr. Adam Kay's original memoir "This is Going to Hurt", so I can't attest to how well it was adapted to screen, but I really loved the TV series following Adam's struggles working on an understaffed maternity ward and the culmination of his stresses following a complaint about his conduct, the collapse of his relationship as a closeted gay man in 2006 and the death of a young doctor who he had taken under his wing.
This scene within the climax of the show sees Adam try to repair his relationship with his ex, Harry, interspersed with his tribunal where he lays out everything that's wrong with the way doctors are being treated.
Needless to say, after the last few years, this is a very socially relevant topic. Anyone out there in the medical profession, especially in the NHS - thank you for your service. You are appreciated and you deserve better treatment from the systems letting you down.
