- Today, Nadezhda will cook traditional Ukrainian dumplings for us on an old stove. The house, which is more than 120 years old, was inherited by Nadezhda from her grandmother's brother. Now Nadezhda looks after the house and leads a traditional way of life. Nadezhda's favorite pastime is cooking traditional Ukrainian dishes.

In my country, Poland, we have very similar dumplings. We also add fried onion to the stuffing :) We commonly called them "Pierogi ruskie". They are a great delicacy. Currently, we simply call them dumplings with cheese and potatoes ;) We serve them with thick, sour cream and greaves with onions :) I love them !

Ooo,na pewno smaczne.U nas nazywają się ruskie pierogi ale zostały spolszczone Ja robię te pierogi pół na pół gotowane ziemniaki z serem mieląc przez maszynkę.Dodaję sól,pieprz i ostrej czerwonej papryki w proszku do smaku.Podsmażam jeszcze cebulkę na smalcu i też dodaję do farszu.Po ugotowaniu pierogów polewam jeszcze przesmażoną słoniną z cebulką.Muszę zrobić z Pani przepisu....Ziemniaki z masłem do nadzienia,ciekawy przepis.Poadrawiam i zdrówka życzę w tym surowym klimacie 😊

1. Nadezhda lives in a beautiful mountainous region with amazing winter sceneries.
2. I really love her two lovely cats who looked so sweet and happy. They seemed to enjoy drinking the fresh milk from the cow.
3. I really like Nadezhda's "more than 120 years old" house with traditional decorations and many old religious paintings (icons) and family photos displayed on the walls.
4. It is interesting to see Nadezhda wash her hands with water from a metallic container/tank hung outside of her house.
5. I like the way Nadezhda prepared and cooked these dumplings using simple but nutritious ingredients.
