I am happy that I can see this kind of people living their lives peacefully . I saw in Canada , Alberta at Calling Lake people living like that. Except they had electricity. I really enjoy the videos. It takes me back to going up on a cattle ranch in the mountains. We did have power but was out a lot in the winter. We only heated with a wood stove so we cooked on it when out of power. Take care

My grandfather looked a bit like your own. He had a cabin high in the Tatras on central Slovakia with very similar nature and lifestyle. Helping him were the best times of my life. the Germans took him to fight in Ukraine but never aimed to hit anything. He and some friends eventually walked back to slovakia, Badin area and joined the Partisans near the end of the war... Now we are in the mountains again, but in California. Your videos are wonderful!
Hello Slovak, I understand that you currently live in California. In Slovakia, everything is the same as in Ukraine, our languages are similar and are in the first place in terms of similarity and tradition, the mountain houses are the same, thank you for the story and subscribing to the channel.
My father could understand Ukrainians language, to his surprise. but not a word of Polish, Hungarian or even much of Czechs. Later I saw the video where you had stayed at his house for 14 days and saw that you are the one who chopped all that firewood. As winter begins, your grandfather must feel very secure to have firewood all the way to the ceiling. It is a tangible sign of your love and care for him. My father could understand Ukrainians language, to his surprise. but not a word of Polish, Hungarian or even much of Czechs. A week ago I saw this video and discovered your TH-cam channel. In the opening scenes of the video I was impressed with how much firewood your grandfather had. Later I saw the video where you had stayed at his house for 14 days and saw that you are the one who chopped all that firewood. As winter begins, your grandfather must feel very secure to have firewood all the way to the ceiling. It is a tangible sign of your love and care for him. I enjoy watching your moves and how you live with grandpa. When I was stationed in Alaska married military I work all day or fly. Come home do more work. Gather firewood pick veggies for canning, picking berries make jams.
