My doctor is also a forensic pathologist. We came to know each other so well, that he invited me for an autopsy. Remember, I'm a scientist, too. Not a pathologist, but I was able to deal with what we were going to see. Since then, I've routinely assisted him (for no pay, more out of interest). I made the Y incisions, used the saw for brain examination and weight etc. He would make conclusions from findings and write a report. Toxicology was always done when there was liver lesions or kidney damage. I would read him the findings (dictating) and he would type it up. Sometimes we only had skeletons. It's really hard, but our forensic labs are backed up far beyond what they could handle. Families often paid to have tests done at private labs. We implicated more than one murderer and it was soooo satisfying. Remember, I was only helping. But I wish I could change my science degree to medicine.
In one case where we only had a skeleton (essentially) remaining in a creek, I went with Dr. Skosona. There was a suspect with high-currency bills with him. We identified the skeletal remains as the suspect's friend. We scrubbed the bones to analyze the residue. Diatoms are specific to one body of water. They have incredible species diversity. It would be different for every body of water. However, we found the SAME diatoms on the currency as on the victim's remains. Nailed and convicted. His waders had the same species of diatom. He confessed to detectives and got life.

I’m on the first story. A young worker was left alone to feed a wood chipper here in Perth Western Australia while the other workers went to buy their lunch. He had disappeared when they came back but the wood chipper was still running. There was a strange smell in the back of the truck where the wood chips get thrown and the boss, to his horror new what had happened. "Beyond the realm of what people do to each other" is something that a small community cop might say, if he also doesn't know that much about human history. I do respect his level of confidence despite the way he speaks.
My condolences to the family members of these cases. Especially the children that have nothing to do with their parents choices in life. R.I.H. Angels.🙏
The Helle Crafts case reminds me of the Noreen Boyle case. Both killers were accomplished professionals who were highly respected in their communities and who presented a believable image of domestic bliss to the outside world, but who were actually controlling, abusive, adulterous tyrants at home. Their wives were objects they owned and could discard at will if they became a nuisance. And they were discarded alright - like trash, in the most callous and demeaning manner possible. And both remain completely unrepentant to this day despite the evidence.
Thank you for the mention of the Noreen Boyle case , I’d never heard of it , now that I’ve read up on it what a fascinating case with the successful doctor husband murderer and young son testifying against his father , so pitiful how terrified Noreen and her son were of him
@@kimbutler6912 Noreen begged him to stay, she wasn't scared of him. The boy happened to hear his parent's argument the night she disappeared and a loud thump with his Father coming and opening the door of his room where he pretended to be asleep. His wife begged and begged him to stay, even talking about taking her own life if he took her children and left with them. She wanted him and wanted him to stay, regardless of the pregnant girlfriend.
What a horrible situation for her and her children. Those children have to live with the fact that their father is in prison for the murder of their Mom. I can’t imagine how they would deal with that. Very sad.
These are crazy stories omg 😱 I don’t understand how people could take anyone life. No matter how angry or how hard life is there’s no excuse to take nobody life away. I was chased by a random man once at night I was walking from work I was running screaming saying “help me” and some lady heard me and open her door and I ran into her house and she called police and they found out the man had killed over 4 teenager girls. I was the lucky one. Thank god I screamed loud enough for someone to hear me. Until this day I’m still traumatized I don’t go out at night i have anxiety and every second I look at my surroundings. I’m 25 years old now and have a 4 month old son I’m so scared that I don’t let nobody close to me and my baby. Because the man said in court if he ever comes out of prison he will find me and kill me and my family.
It’s pretty awful when criminals have to resort to a wood chipper. One would think they’d know better. That they will get caught. Especially when CT., has the top docs on board. Dr. Lee and his staff. No stone will be unturned. The bad guys will be discovered.
The Rowland case is cool I’ve heard of it from a couple different sources but this is the first one that showed me the forensic investigators about that screw driver
Amazing how far the technology has come. This show says ALS was never designed to be used on a whole wall and two weeks ago I watched a documentary from a couple of years ago where they used a newer, better version of it on every room in a house to show someone had been cutting up a body in one of the rooms.
Omg What a complete POS friend and his wife is too That’s very sad His poor son will never know his dad Goes to show I guess you really just can’t trust anyone
Thanks to the Forensic Science! And all the excellent Investigators that made possible to solve all those cases! Thank you for this program i think is very interesting.
On Forensic Files they outlined the same case and noted that Richard Crafts had actually filled out the warranty card for the Stihl chainsaw used in the crime, making it easier for the police to identify him as the owner of the chainsaw!
1:41:21 proud of his ability to open any door without a sound. I'm quite security conscious & have taken steps against that as well. I've intentionally off set my outer glass doors (two door set up, metal frame glass then traditional door) so no matter how quietly you try to open it, believe me I've tried every way, it makes a unpleasant & quite loud noise audible throughout the house which always alerts my dogs (Big 'friendly' dogs) if they haven't already sensed you some how, giving me plenty of time to properly welcome all guests. If invited, I put the doggies up, if not they don't come in. I hate surprises! Yes, everyone complains about the shoddy craftsmanship, you should really get that door fixed they say, I just shrug & say one day I'll get to it.
I could go on all day about windows, vegetation, electronics, firearms & all the things one can do to reduce chances of becoming a victim. Security comes in layers, there's no one thing you can do to guarantee your safety, its a number of things to do just to reduce chances. But if someone wants to harm you bad enough they will find a way.
@1:44:50. DNA is found in only 1% of all cases. Wow, that's a crazy stat. Wonder if that's higher now since this series was recorded and more DNA collection is done these days.

@@aaprii333 Welp, they're not filming this series any longer, they haven't filmed them for more than a decade. The narrator, Gene Galusha, has since passed away.
I listened to it when i'm getting ready to fall asleep I like it passed it on
I’m a microbiologist this is all I listen to while I work
Man, all of these murders are horrible but dang, killing the Hernandez's baby was unnecessary! I feel for these officers, medical examiner and everyone involved in the investigation of deaths of babies or children.
Poor baby 😔
It's a very hard job they do. ❤
As well as 10 to life, kimberleigha, and Stephanie Harlow all great to listen to while going to bed or driving long trips
"Beyond the realm of what people do to each other" is something that a small community cop might say, if he also doesn't know that much about human history. I do respect his level of confidence despite the way he speaks.
My condolences to the family members of these cases. Especially the children that have nothing to do with their parents choices in life. R.I.H. Angels.🙏
I used to think I was the only person who slept to this stuff.
There's a whole mob of us!
Poland too....
I can't sleep to many of them. But Gene Galusha, Peter Thomas, Bill Curtis , and a few more, have that voice
I just love everything about new detectives I watch nothing else on TH-cam again but it
Excellent job 👏
@@pamelamorris3148 thank you so much for the detailed info
the older I get the more im seeing how much evil is in the world
Slaughterhouses and factory farming for example. This here is nothing!
@@martinkirkov at least that's for animals.
There always has been.Ever since man appeared on this Earth. We hear more about it now, through the likes of TH-cam videos, and t.v.news.
Binging on New Det. Just the music gets me😃
Que gran equipo de investigadores. Ustedes tienen especialistas de todo lo que se requiere para una buena investigación.
Dude must have really hated his wife, chopped her up with a chainsaw, then fed her through a wood chipper. BRUTAL!
Who here is old enough to remember going to K Mart as a kid or an adult....Ahhhh good times
Gotta love Henry Lee. He is the goods!
Thank goodness for Elaine,Ava Sister, mine would do the same❤, prayers for peace
I love these episodes don't watch TV anymore.
Who ever made the background music is a champ 🙏🏾🙏🏾👍🏿👍🏿💯💯
What a horrible situation for her and her children. Those children have to live with the fact that their father is in prison for the murder of their Mom. I can’t imagine how they would deal with that. Very sad.
The man's since been released and is involved in his children and grandchildren lives.
Great shows!
Fantastic show
First case... my goodness! People are sick. Who would imagine a partner killing them, talk less of feeding them through a wood chipper
Yep, I listen to his voice as I fall asleep and when I'm cleaning, too. 😁
Amazing how far the technology has come. This show says ALS was never designed to be used on a whole wall and two weeks ago I watched a documentary from a couple of years ago where they used a newer, better version of it on every room in a house to show someone had been cutting up a body in one of the rooms.
Omg
What a complete POS friend and his wife is too
That’s very sad
His poor son will never know his dad
Goes to show I guess you really just can’t trust anyone
Thanks to the Forensic Science! And all the excellent Investigators that made possible to solve all those cases! Thank you for this program i think is very interesting.
I'm amazed by the way crimes are solve thru forensics.
I have to comment on the cops in the first case, good for them, they never give up even though it was one of their own. God bless them all.
Keep your mythology to yourself.
That skeleton of Ava was brutal. Coward.
You are the best!!!!
With a name like Sherlock, you know you're destined to go in to law enforcement!
No shit
How can someone murder a mother and her infant for drug money owed by the husband? 😭😭😭😭😭
These compilations are life.thank you🥰🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼🇧🇼
There would be less murders if the death penalty would be used more. It would save lives!!
On Forensic Files they outlined the same case and noted that Richard Crafts had actually filled out the warranty card for the Stihl chainsaw used in the crime, making it easier for the police to identify him as the owner of the chainsaw!
Just 50 years for putting a body in a wood chipper, SERIOUSLY!!!!HOW about the death penalty, how about that???😡
MR. LEE IS VERY COOL...HE IS HIGHLY INTELLIGENT,,CUTE,, TENACIOUS,,,II JUST LIKE HIM...
I love his voice !
Let's not forget 1 of the victims in the Gainesville murders was a man named Manuel Taboada.
Just like the Idaho students murders. There was also a brunette female and a male victiim.
Best narrative, after forensic files, a narrative which pause and speaks in normal tempo. Everybody else its talking too fast and intense, and makes it exhausting to listen to
Very much moved me how the mystery solved
Salat
Thank You! 🙏🏻☮💖
