Taking IELTS requires special preparation. Everyone who has taken IELTS will confirm that it is not enough to communicate fluently in English in order to get the necessary scores. When preparing for the exam, I recommend you to study special IELTS preparation books because they are specially designed for a student to understand how to take the exam. Take IELTS practice tests to prepare psychologically for the exam and get a feel for the time. In addition to IELTS textbooks and simulators, I also recommend for you Yuriy Ivantsiv's practice book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language". This book provides tips on solving many of the problems that every student faces when preparing for the exam. For example, how to effectively memorize new words, how to learn to write without mistakes, how to begin discussing a topic without stuttering, how to memorize new and why one forgets and much more. I wish everyone a 9.0 IELTS ! Good luck in creating your best future! Believe in yourself and never give up friends!

I got 26/40 from the test in the video. I`ve done like 10 listenings from TH-cam, for which you said that they`r not legit and this test, specially part 3 was hard, the speaker spoke way too fast, but part 4 was ok. The one thing that confused me was that I wasn`t given time to read the questions. Anyway, I`ll keep with my practise with the tests you`ve putted in the bio - thank you so much for the video and the help, I really appreciate it! I will come back in January with my 9 score in listening :) (I`m manifasting it!) ;)
Hi Chris, first of all, thank you for this fantastic video and the effort you put into tutoring us. Secondly, I got a score of 33/40 in the above test, a few questions I got wrong were due to missing out words such as "THE" in the answers. I can't seem to figure out whether to use such words in some answers or omit them in others. Your suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks for this video Chris, I got 35/40, I have a question 25- Could the answer also be “Over 40 miles?”. Any pointers on how to get more of these real tests would be amazing, thanks again 🙏
Searched the comments and found yours. Made the same question 5 seconds ago. It's not the first time I encounter this issue, and sometimes it seems like they cut possible answers although they are under the word limit. For me, "over 40 miles" is correct. I've searched, and it looks grammatically correct.
Hi Chris, Thank you for being amazing. While I may not be a VIP student, I benefited immensely from all your videos about all the types of skills being tested in the IELTS exam. I also benefited from your free reading course. Your advice about using real Cambridge listening test questions, made a huge difference for me. So, it is safe to say that I am your student. I had my exam on the 26th of October 2024, and my result came out great, I had an overall band 8. Speaking: 7. Listening: 9. Reading: 8.5. Writing: 7.
Such selfless service to record a two-hour tutorial and share it so freely. Thank you. I chanced upon the video but it automatically skipped ahead to the listening test so I only realized it was a whole tutorial afterwards. I must point out a minor correction in your answer for question 12 though in the context of the speech, the correct answer is E (simple polluting fuels) not D as suggested by the answer sheet. I stand to be corrected.

I usually listen to audios at x1.5 speed and I understand almost everything easily. Although, my problem is I'm bad at multi-tasking. I have to answer the questions while listening, and that's the reason I get lower scores for my trial tests. Also I don't read very fast, even in my mother language, so I don't have enough time to read all the questions and instructions before the audio starts. But now that I've written all this, I know what to do next :)

In 2021, I made the decision to move to Canada. At that time, I was introduced to your channel for IELTS preparation. At the same time, I took classes to prepare for general training in IELTS preparation. My teacher used to give me tests from Cambridge books and non-reliable sources, due to which I got confused. I got the same score as you! Have you taken the test yet? if yes, can you tell me how it was and how much you scored?
Great video. Thanks a lot
I can't wait to see a 2-hour video about IELTS Reading tips.
Is anyone else like me? I did very well on Part 4 - which is kind of an academic context, but for part 2-3, I was bad at hearing multi-people talking, sounds confusing to me.
I am facing the same while practicing … 1 and 4, i score the highest
Actually part 1 and 4 are more easier than 2 and 3 for me. People get 9 on listening, how!? When more than 1 person talking to me , I can't focus on it
that is exactly what I see
@@shubhamishra1546 me too , its really hard to focus on dialog
Yess I experienced the same thing 😖
One of my band 9 in IELTS Academic is on the listening subtest. Cambridge materials really helped me a lot.
@jerickpermano8870 , pls how did you get the Cambridge material? I need one. Your prompt response will be appreciated
I'm in love with you Chris... The way you explain the way you make constant efforts to help students like me is just amazing.... You really nail it! You're indeed a very good teacher. I can hear all that you said perfectly.
If the other people speaking the English language can be like you, many students would have passed their listening test at once.
You nail it means?

Common trick and traps = challenge
1. Changing the answer
2. Synonyms and paraphrasing
3. Plurals (check grammar, spellings)
4. Unusual spellings
5. Similar sounding words
6. Negative words / double negative
I got 25 correct through your guide. I have 2-3 that I got but didn't write it accordingly. Also the real test questions/structures were somehow faster as expected. Thank you very much Mr Pell I know there will be improvement in my next practice test.

Hi guys, I have 9.0 listening and this is my tip.
You only need 4 steps to do a listening test:
1. Read the questions
2. Listen
3. Understand all what they say
4. Fill the blank
If you do it right, I guarantee u 8.5 to 9.0 on your listening test (Confirmed by myself).
Sometimes the information just flew right from my left ear right out of my right ear, and it is really fast I can't catch the right key word 😢 what do I do
@@crazywolf9715 skill issue :D
.
Actually I just watched youtube English all the time. I did not even try to do a lot of listening before taking the exam.
Just remember that IELTS is the ultimate test that evaluate your skills. If you can comfortably use English to read and listen in your daily life then you are good to take the test.
And btw I got 7.5 overall that time, after my 6 months of trying hard. I was only 14 when I took IELTS. So take your time. You can be much better than a 14 yrs old kid.
Many thanks to Chris and the content creator team for this most practical guidance for the IELTS listening test tips and tricks! it helps me much to gain higher score in listening test. Keep up the good work and God bless you all!

Hello Chris, after paying attention to the entire video and doing the free practice test, I was able to find out where I stand when it came to my listening ability. I'm really grateful that we have people like you who go as far as to help those that are struggling on their IELTS tests.

If you have any further questions or need our team to help you prepare for your exam, please feel free to contact us.
Hello! Your videos are so helpful! So lucky to find it😎. Maybe you can run your own podcast, cause it seems you have a lot to say not only about IELTS
I think of getting a band 9, as others got too.
Thank you Sir, you are more than a teacher, God bless you.
I am going to write next month.
Best of luck!
Thank you for this Mr Chris! Am impressed God bless you sir.
I got bands 8.5 from this channel, THANK YOU!!!!!

Hi Chris,
Thank you for being amazing. Writing: 7.
Excellent!
You lectures are outstanding, I wish i could find the IELTS speaker like you. Keep doing and helping to aspirants.🎉

Thank you so much for your guidance! I have learned a number of useful things, that I need to improve and be careful with. Again thank you,sir

1. Don't stop until you're safe. 2. Stay focused but also be aware of what's happening around you. These are the BEST strategies ever!

Thank you for your videos on Speaking.they were very helpful and insightful in how to not stress yourself on cue card answering.thank you so much. In 2021, I made the decision to move to Canada. At that time, I was introduced to your channel for IELTS preparation. At the same time, I took classes to prepare for general training in IELTS preparation. My teacher used to give me tests from Cambridge books and non-reliable sources, due to which I got confused. In the end, I couldn't get band 8 in Listening. I went into a depression as I was desperate to move out.
I visited those non-reliable sources on TH-cam and found them very difficult and confusing. Now, I am preparing for Academic IELTS. I hope to get a maximum band to get a scholarship.
