I GOT A QUESTION, should I be revising in year 9? (And what do I do if I sometimes struggle in lessons or don’t understand what’s going on?)

Hey! Student going into year 10 here!
At my school, we chose our GCSE options in year 8, and started the GCSE course in year 9. I'd say if you are doing the same, then near the end of year 9, revise lightly what you've gone over through the year, especially if you have exams, even better if you do light revision as you go. I need to stress here, LIGHT revision, you don't need to go crazy on it at all, otherwise you will just burn yourself out. At the end of the day, you know yourself best, so if you feel you will benefit from revising, or will be fine without, you do what you feel is best!
As for struggling/not understanding lessons, always always ask your teachers, that's what they're there for. I promise you, any teacher that cares will not be annoyed at you for not understanding or struggling. In fact, they'll be happy that you want to understand the topic and improve. If for whatever reason your specific teacher doesn't help, or you really don't get on with them, ask the other teachers of the same subject, students in your class, students from other years (eg in your form), and at the end of the day if all else fails, there are a bunch of resources online :)
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, or want some of the resources, just say!!
Remember to have fun at school as well!! Hope you have a great school year!!
