  • This is a retrospective of JB's career, minus several MB's of credits, (and certainly not everything he did,) so: Thanks Brian McArthur (since dec'd) for many of the clips, and everyone at the old jonathanbrandis.org. I was forced to 'audio-swap' the soundtrack, which took weeks to synch, but, since SONY got huffy about the SAME track on another video, I'll be happy that the piece (which is beautiful, Mahler's 5th Symphony, Adagio,) can be used here and fits - more or less, (about eight seconds too long,) though it's a sight more somber than the music originally featured. (Thanks WMG - holder of one of the copyrights, clearly cited in the original message here.) Jonathan was a closet Classical music lover, and he was familiar with this Mahler piece, so I think he'd approve.
The episode of "Full House" is mislabeled as "Who's The Boss" - made the same year, about a month apart. A FEW things are missing, (mostly earlier work) but that was the nature of the game in 2005 when I actually MADE this tribute. A tech friend told me that my software program couldn't handle more than eight clips. SOMEONE wanted this to be done, then, because there are something like 39 of them here.

A quarter-million views later shows that the message is still there, kid.
    You mattered.
    You STILL matter.
Your are not defeated, and you are not diminished.
    We remember.
Rest in peace, now and always.

Be aware that WMG (and TH-cam) completely removed the original soundtrack, though JB worked for them (and he made them a tidy profit.) Yet another example of corporate greed destroying creativity. Next someone will walk through graveyards and chisel off the poetry quoted there as 'copyright infringement'. This video was done for purely EDUCATIONAL purposes, as a MEMORIAL to a friend, and had NO purpose of self-aggrandizement, advertisement or profit (my name isn't even in it anywhere at all,) nor was it intended to lessen the profits of any corporation or decrease the number of CD's an old 90's group might still sell. The music used (that WAS used) herein was all content the Eponymous enjoyed and would have probably liked linked to his memory (without controversy,) including ORIGINAL compositions. One of the points of the video was to allow people to HEAR JB's voice throughout the years - which is now totally gone from the piece.
If you're dropping by to dump your intolerance, nonsensical rumors and ignorance on someone who can't fight back, congratulations, you're banned and removed (for good) and may all the karmic merits that you so richly deserve come to you in abundance.
(Because THIS one is QUITE alive and CAN fight back...)

11/2020: Apparently TH-cam decided to disable seeing or leaving comments for this vid, (and others of mine,) a two-edged sword, as the silly nonsense some bored and jealous trolls still have to bark won't appear anymore - but neither will the continued words of love and admiration for someone who deeply and unforgettably touched, and still touches, people, and who is greatly deserving of being remembered.
Say them anyway, right into the air. He doesn't need words on a screen to hear you.
    Rest in peace J-Dog.
