Somebody bought a coffee machine in HR and thought to herself: Why don't we make cars out of the same material as a Tchibo/Phillips coffee machine? BMW owners are crying out laughing at this. Mercedes bros, what are we gonna do?
@@anonymous0405G It’s mainly soft, though the lower panels are inexcusable. Wait til you sit in a Lexus GX: $80k for even more hard plastic. And a blown engine from the factory as a bonus!
Maybe the plastics in modern cars are more creaky due to some change to reduce environmental impact. Like using recycled plastics, less amount or something like that. Just my guess Because thinner plastic will flex and creak, if it was thicker it would not make noise right? Now I'm curious about the scientific explanation of plastic creaking.
Only full fix is to put some material between the plastics, like very thin felt (cant even notice it between the parts). I have done this with my whole interior, I can press any part I want to and it makes 0 noise.
Lmao. “Flimsy” when not a single piece is loose. “Everything squeaked” when the only parts that did were the piano black door trim and metallic dash trim. “S class handles better” lololol. I felt like I was listening to tRump.😂
Absolutely true, the only part that creaked annoyingly was the piano black. Myself I’m cool with it after being so curious to know its build quality so now it’s definitely on my list I like it
@@martinsv9183 So you didn’t watch the video and based your opinion on the prior gen? Lol. Literally the only things that made noise were the piano black and metallic dash strip. I’ve been in the prior gen too- rented a C63 for a week. It was silent. No creaks or rattles. Had already been driven over 20k miles and driven hard. I even pushed on the center console trim hard and it wouldn’t make a sound. So much for this anti-MB campaign lol.

The w206 c class has the worst interior of any car on the market. Same with the cle and glc. It is unacceptable for this price and brand. I was in my friend’s sentra and it was nicer and used better materials. MBUX and the tech are the only reasons they can even justify part of the price.
@@tool8337 This interior is a Bentley compared to the newest Lexus interiors. Woof. And no, the Sentra’s interior is nowhere near as nice as the C-class’s. That’s a flat out retarded statement. The Lexus GX interior, however, is legitimately worse than a Sentra’s or Corolla’s, and it costs nearly twice as much as a C300.
@@jaymum23 I’m not talking about in terms of design. My statement might have been rhetorical but not false. The Sentra (at least the trim i was in) had more soft-touch materials on the dash and doors. It had real leather seats. It had no piano black. It also had fewer squeaks. Considering neither the c class or Sentra use real metal or wood in any place around the cabin (fake wood for the first time in the C class), I’d actually say the sentra was nicer if you don’t consider features or tech. I am Nissan’s biggest hater but i can give some credit. Some new lexus interiors are pretty awful too. Maybe i just extra hate this c class because i’m a mercedes fan and this goes against that. The GX at least uses a simple design with durable plastics. Theoretically it should show less wear as it ages and have fewer rattles. I agree that the lack of soft touch materials in the GX is also downright criminal.
It looks like the old C class because it’s just a heavily revised version of the old C class. Which is why their claim that they couldn’t fit anything bigger than a 4 cylinder in the engine bay is BS

What happened to the W124/W123 era of Mercedes..
The only part that creaked was the piano black. I rate the material 8/10 because of that creaky piano black, fit and finish 9/10

Door close is a big indicator quality and sound isolation whether it sounds hollow or like a vault door, this one sounded horrible.
Materials seem to be better than the W223. The finish is there, but the fit is consistently Mercedes. I.e. awful
