hi friend, I have a st 120 in Italy, I've used it a lot, I must say that it doesn't do badly on not too technical trails... Obviously the 530 is more suitable but I don't see it as much better than the 120.
@@LifeofMaik thanks for quick response! I meant S as size S., since there is no XS. I managed to get a deal at the Cube Aim store for 450eur in size 14", I hope it won't be too big.
Hi Brother, I’m confused between 520 and 530, which one I should buy? I’m not familiar with gear cycles because I don’t have any, but I want to explore it.
@@LifeofMaik can I ask you to give an advice, if want to ride like Kilian Bron on the same roads=), but I am a newbie, which of st 530 Mdb / st 100 / st 120 be a good choice to start? And would this be a good choice in general?
Hard to tell, generally speaking, is the 530 better, but if you are on a real budget, 100 or 120 (I heard 100 is almost 100€ cheaper) and save for a proper bike (600€+ at least)
A derailleur hanger, is a little piece of aluminum attached on the the frame and the derailleur. It's job is to bend or brake in case of an impact so the derailluer (shifter in the back) or frame won't get damage in case of a crash, fall or any incident.
@@LifeofMaik On another note, Is 1X9 gear train better than 3x8 for uphill. Why I ask because the expensive models come with 1x9 while the cheaper ones come with 3x8.
Well the 3x8 is a little bit easier uphill like you can go half a km/h or 1 km/h slower. But you won't notice it. Reason for the 1x is its simpler, quieter, you won't drop a chain, less maintenance and almost the same for pedaling. The increased price also comes from the better shifter, derailleur and way better brakes.
@@LifeofMaik Thank you. I am going with the 120 since it is a newer model and I drive on roads mostly. Also, since you said both 120 and 520 share the same suspensions and tyres
hey dude. i want to buy the 530 but idk if i should buy the 530 or the 120. i heard that the 530 has a bigger fork and other stuff but i saw that the 120 has better durabilty.I don't know which one is the bette one. but in general i am awaiting for a little discount for the 530. any opinion that i should hear from you?
Hey there, it really depends on two things Brakes and price. A) If the 530 at your place has mechanical disc brakes, it is not that much better than the 120 B) If you have to add more than 100€ and or you don't want to take the bike on trails, get the 120.
The 120 has a wider cassette which increased the price but lost the front shifter. Usually the 520 was for 300€ so I have no idea, where you got the 520 from for 250€, maybe a sale?
It helped a lot thanks man
Thanx , very helpful
Thanks

I have a problem and deep thinking:
For a child, 11 years old, 150 cm tall, ST530 S for 410 eur, or Cube Aim 14" for 530 eur!?
530 but without the S
The 530 S is unnecessarily heavy and is not that beneficial.

I recommend the 530 if it has hydraulic disc brakes at your store.

What is a drag on hanger that you are mentioning in 2:19

Hello i have a question .. what is the gear brand they are using on the st530 .. is it SRAM or shimano ? Thanks
Hey there, it's neither. They use microshift, their own brand which works perfectly, especially for this price point.
@@LifeofMaik thanks man !!
pas compris s'il faut acheter un 120 ou 530 :(
530 if you have the spare money and want to go into the woods more often. For the city 120
520 or 120?????
For the same price, 520 unless you live in a flat area or really want the 1x drivetrain
