  • The outlaw-country rocker's songs were described by Rolling Stone as, “Cased in a streetwise, modern shell that's as unapologetic as Johnny Cash's middle finger." But there's a lot more to the self-described “highway queen” from South Carolina. Anthony Mason reports.

I'm so glad you decided to become a singer - songwriter, you have a gift. Your ex-boyfriend should get a song credit. ;-) I totally love Highway Queen and am working back on your other releases. I'm not just streaming them either.

"...as unappologetic as Johnny Cash's middle finger". What a painfully dumb, main-street way of calling someone a badass...

"Dumb" what an inarticulate way to call something/someone uncommunicative.

@@nomdeplume2213: "uncommunicative"? What are you, a smug 15-year-old who hasn't quite mastered the thesaurus+dictionary gift set she received for xmas? YOU'RE RECOMMENDING THE 100% WRONG WORD THERE, CHAMP.
Nonetheless let me spruce up my original statement for you:
"... What a painfully unimaginative, intellectually lazy, zero street-credibility way of calling someone a badass..."
