Looks great One thing iv found with kennels Is the pee eats away at the metal sheeting Waterproof and seal the concrete and so when you hose out kennel you don’t rot the timber and metal
Rebecca in flip-flops on the ladder surprised me.....I don't think my feet could stand those for ladder work. Great job on the construction, with nice fit and finish.
Very clean, nicely designed and well built. It meets your specs, your goals, your dreams. Congratulations on a well done building. It will last for you, your kids and grandkids.
Ingenious idea to use tin sheets (as we would call them) on the walls to prevent damage. Probably you are already ahead of me, but just in case, I will politely suggest that you seal the gap between the tin sheets and the floor to prevent dirt and moisture (i.e.: dog urine and excrement) seeping through the gap to the wood. It will smell to high heaven and will be very difficult to clean.
You are such a good teacher! Have you ever thought about teaching people to get into the building trades? We need another generation of quality workers!
My husband is a DYIer so I’m always getting involved in his projects--just like you, Rebecca. You’re doing a great job. Well thought out and meticulous. I love these improvement projects and look forward to the next kennel room vlogs.
You are such a great builder ❤️ Looking forward to watching you complete this project. I know lumber prices have gone down a bit but gosh I bet that lumber was still a pretty penny! Thanks for sharing, it's looking fantastic!!
You are very skilled and you do very good work. It's nice to see that you have a bride much like mine that isn't afraid of work and will help out. If the pole barn isn't already the envy of many, it will be when completed.
Looking good Evan and Rebecca, you’re both doing a great job and the video turned out great. Thanks for sharing with us, looking forward to the next video. Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍👍👏🏻👏🏻👋👋
Evan, you and Rebecca did a good job on the dog kennel and it will be a good place to keep them, when you need to. The pole barn is really looking good and it will all come together.
This may be the last remaining "catch up" video since I am new to your TH-cam presentations. You and Rebecca do work very well together, and I am impressed that Rebecca's still has all her toes after work with sheet metal with sandals. Rebecca, you are a nurse and should know better. LOL
Very nice job. I like the corrigated galvanized metal look. They'll not get hurt nor be able to cause any damage. Great idea Evan. My wife is wanting this in our get away cabin around the kitchen cabinets and backsplash around the sink.
looking good guys. I wasn't sure about that wall panel idea i was thinking that's gonna be noisy but it sounded fine, 3 ideas 1. seal the floor well 2. wall to floor gap needs to be filled (silicone) to stop water/pee from getting to your timbers 3. make sure you can get your tractor into the dog pen for clean up/mowing
Check with a scrap yard to see if they have any crib panels You could buy from them. That's where I bought mine, they were 5 feet tall and 10 feet long. Bought enough for a 24 foot by 80 foot run using the shed for part of the run.
NO MATTER HOW YOU ARE GOING TO USE YOUR BARN, seal all of the floors two coats. However, unless today's coatings are different than we did 30 years ago. Depending on how you use your barn, we recoated when needed! Never had a problem with oil stain.
I like the way that you're organizing your pole barn and making where everything is got its place. Keep up the good work God bless you and as always Amen
You both are doing an amazing job and work so good together. Seal the floor so no odor will be in it so if it become an office it won’t smell. The dogs should love ❤️ it. I will continue to watch for the finish, I know it will be nice 👍🏽. Awesome job. Have a nice day. GOD bless!!
Looking good Evan and Rebecca. If you are going to wash the dog's in there wouldn't it have been prudent to put some sort of flashing/waterproofing where the wall sheets meet the floor
Really nice looking bright space. Y'all did great job and made nice choices for the walls etc. Thanks for sharing this build with us and Have a Blessed day.
Love you folks. Always good to see the progress you keep making. Just an FYI: My dermatologist -- a VERY smart lady -- was wearing flip flops one day around her home, I believe, and caught her foot on something or tripped -- not sure the exact details -- but she fell and has not been back to work in about a year-and-a-half, due to nerve damage in her arm. It is looking like I have seen the last of her ...
seal the floor, PLEASE seal the floor animal urine, etc. will stain and in time ruin your floor. Also caulk the seam between the metal and floor, any liquid especially water will seep through and start to rot your wooden floor plates. I also watch some sailboat construction shows and if you want to protect against water damage or urine smell you must seal all seams. you'll be thankful in a few years after washing walls and animals that you went through the trouble now.
A pipe bender will let you make pro looking panel sections for the kennel fence areas and check the price of exhaust pipe rather then conduit or fence posts as a possible source.
Could be a goat milking/berthing room with exterior man doors leading to outside covered coral and pasture. Office or livestock food storage. Tool/parts crib and a lot more possibilities
Great channel you are both down to earth and the farm looks great. Although beeing a kind of handyman myself, i wouldnt screw the horizontal "beams" 45 degrees. When you put the one over the door, you can see that you lifted the door a little when you screwed the door. Kind regards, ol' Sweden :)
definitely interested in how it finishes out and the installation of the doggy doors. Neat layout. we just got our 8 month old german shorthaired pointer from the second kennel we had to keep her at overnight. Same report... never saw anything like it. She is a leaper. likes to jump. I need to do something similar and make it leaper proof.
Me encantó el video, me fascinó su trabajo, muchas gracias por ese efecto motivante que sus videos tienen en algunos de nosotros. Saludos desde México.
Looks perfect. It might be a good idea to seal/epoxy paint your concrete if you have plans to use it for an office later on ? Just a thought. Thumbs up.
Wow y'all did a wonderful job and then you had your wife helping you that was so beautiful is it anyway possible you can give me a list of everything that you use I know it's going to be kind of pricey but I need to make something for my dog so they won't be outside in the weather anymore and I have several that don't get along which is really sad right now I don't have a lot of money but I know God will help me make a way
Seal the floor in case the dogs have an accident. That smell will stay in the concrete otherwise and make repurposing the room more difficult.
Very good idea.
Looks great
One thing iv found with kennels
Is the pee eats away at the metal sheeting
Waterproof and seal the concrete and so when you hose out kennel you don’t rot the timber and metal
They should go outside and pee in the grass. At least we hope.
@@CountryViewAcres I bet they don’t. Lol. I speak from experience
Certainly not in the winter where pee freezes before it hits the ground.
Rebecca in flip-flops on the ladder surprised me.....I don't think my feet could stand those for ladder work. Great job on the construction, with nice fit and finish.
Cut once, measure 4x! That wood is gold-priced!
I’m so impressed with the way you and Rebecca work together. Great teamwork.
Very clean, nicely designed and well built. It meets your specs, your goals, your dreams. Congratulations on a well done building. It will last for you, your kids and grandkids.
That looks awesome and it was smart to have a drain for washing the dogs
For the techniques of sheet metal siding you should watch some videos from RR Buildings. He has some tricks on J channel joints and corners.
It's looking really nice for the dog kennel

They will always have access to the outside, so hopefully they won't pee inside.
Seal that floor real well!
@@CountryViewAcres dont count on it. A sudden sickness or upset tummy and they could have diarrhea, and the smell would never come out.
Awesome job Rebekah and Evan.
You are such a good teacher! Have you ever thought about teaching people to get into the building trades? We need another generation of quality workers!
Rebecca worth her weight in gold !......lovely project looking good .
My husband is a DYIer so I’m always getting involved in his projects--just like you, Rebecca. You’re doing a great job. Well thought out and meticulous. I love these improvement projects and look forward to the next kennel room vlogs.
Good job Evan and Rebecca,as always. Keep up the beautiful work. Love your flip flop’s.
It seems like things always take longer to get done than we'd like. But it's coming along.
He takes his time and gets it done right the first time(usually!)
@@cathiwim Nothing wrong with that. 🙂
You are such a great builder ❤️ Looking forward to watching you complete this project.
I know lumber prices have gone down a bit but gosh I bet that lumber was still a pretty penny! Thanks for sharing, it's looking fantastic!!
Beautiful work! 🐕Love that you do so much yourself rather than buying, so satisfactory when it's done. Love this channel, you guys are the best!
Like your work on the dog Kennel .
Looks great Evan you are a good craftsman.
You are very skilled and you do very good work. It's nice to see that you have a bride much like mine that isn't afraid of work and will help out. If the pole barn isn't already the envy of many, it will be when completed.
LOOKING GOOD FOR SURE... You are mighty blessed to have your wife being willing to help you out...
Great job! 👍🏻

Hey Rebekah and Evan ...kennels looking great ! What a grand idea ! Love watching your progress of your dream !

Hi, Evan and Rebecca! Your kennel looks really good. It is very well planned for maximum usage. I am excited to watch as you continue this project.
Great job! Coming together!

Those battery operated tools sure make a project go faster.
Its really to bad they are yellow
You guys are an awesome team hard working couple. Evan and Rebecca love the videos all those animals are so lucky to have you both
Good to have you guys back,
Glad to see all the animals are doing really good , at least now you can get back to what life is all about
Thanks again for all the videos we know it's a lot of hard work
Great video. Don't forget to make a gate so that you mower can trim the grass in the outside area. Thanks for posting

I have dogs, and think I would put chain link around the inside kennel wall so they can see what's happening in the building.

Great video. Rebecca! No flip flops on a ladder. Trip, crash, boom, 🤕.
Hope you remember to leave a big enough gate in the outside kennel area to access it with a mower or tractor.
It looks great. The pole building is going to be very useful and practical addition for y’all. 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🐾❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good morning from Grand Forks
You are very talented..I'm envious..
These videos are extremely helpful…I feel like I learn a lot…Thanks for doing them…
Nice build, be nice for the dogs
I think it's awesome that you think so much of your dogs, it's gonna be a great place for them to be out of the weather, kudos for your efforts 😀😀😀
That looks really sharp. No pun intended.
Really nice looking bright space. Y'all did great job and made nice choices for the walls etc. Thanks for sharing this build with us and Have a Blessed day.
Is this the first time we've seen Rebecca using a power tool? Very nice looking room. You two sure do work well as a team.

Looking forward to seeing this complete as I have been planning to do this for our two border collies in NZ 😀
Have some weeping hole at floor level so you can spray the dogs area................. Best way........ kennels do it.............
Good job guys.

Just curious if you've been able to make any progress? Would love to see the finished product.
Not yet. Going to start working on it again this weekend.
