We also learned that Tosin can make a better partner with Collwill. Those line breaking passes really added directness to our play...
As we didn't have a right-back, maresca just had to offer us a defence without disasi and put tosin and then fofana as right-backs. In other words ( cucu colwill tosin fofana )
Also leave veiga on the bench and put nkunku or felix in for more creativity. Cucu can play as a reverse flanker and form the double pivot with caicedo.

Jackson's wastefulness needs to hurt him for him to start improving...but as it is now, there's no consequences for his carelessness sometimes. I believe in him as a player but he needs serious competition to improve.

You watch Saliba, Van Dyk, even Romero, then you know there's levels to this...our team isn't that great yet...but it has potential that's why we can hope and pray for improvement...I believe in Jackson. I watched Drogba change from nothing to stardom under Jose,...the owners didn't want to buy him...his first season, he couldn't make anything stick but the manager believed in him... let's give Jackson a chance...

I think Nkunku should be given a run of games as a striker. He is a much better finisher than Jackson in front of goal. In the next game, I want to see Neto on the right, Sancho on the left, and Nkunku up top. We have a lot of talented players, and the competition between them for a starting place should be fierce. If we want to secure a top-four finish, it's crucial to have a strong start and accumulate as many points as possible before Christmas

Neto and Mudryk will thrive against teams that press us high giving them space to run in behind. Sancho and Madueke are better for low to mid block teams that defend deeper and dont constantly press higher they can certainly also do well against teams that press high. Good thing we have different solutions in attack. Now for us to find stability and a solid defensive base.

The amazing thing about the Nkuku goal is that if he didn’t score that goal, no one would complain because it’s made no sense for him to even score from that angle. He pretty much gifted Sancho an assist. The whole Jackson link up play with no end product hype from Chelsea fans is laughable to a point were they were using Jackson as the main justification for not signing Osimhen.

@@jeremiahkatana9496 you can have your opinions but anyone who understands the game can see that Viega is a very raw talent and is quiet literally levels below Enzo at this current moment. We had little to no midfield control in that game and with Viega not fully understanding the role yet Meresca had to play in a way that protected him playing Cucu as a forward 8 in possession and very tucked in defensively to help him in that phase. That was probably our least fluid build up and attack we’ve had so far under Meresca and not having Enzo there was a big reason why. Saying all that I’m a fan of Viega and hope he can improve as well but please leave the Enzo agenda alone.
Maybe not Hazard but I've been crying out for a dribbler of quality. I'm a big fan of CHO & Madueke but never really delivered consistently, I'm hoping Sancho can be consistent over the entire season.

I thought Veiga was raw and good. Not a Gallagher but definitely a presence in midfield. I must say though, how have we let Chalobah go? Tosin was okay but he was unsettled as well. And Fofana was shakey almost costing Chelsea a goal. Against better teams, I think chelsea will suffer if they dont get their acts together on the pitch and the manager makes the right decisions. The jury will always be out for Maresca unless he wins us something big.
1). Sancho v Neto - Its one game, but competition over that position is healthy.
2). Sanchez - is he our number one?
3). Veiga - is he an upgrade on Gallagher? Gallagher scored a goal and got a MOTM - weird decision to sell him
4). Tosin better than Chalobah?, Disasi better than Chalobah? - Chalobah is needed at Chelsea
5). We still need a striker.
6). Is Jackson better on the left?

Niinii, can you please touch on Levi in a video. A deeper analysis if you will. It seems that Maresca has asked Colwill not only be the leader with his 5 man captain’s roll, but also asked him to lead the defensive line. You saw in the last game he gave the team huddle speech as an example of the leadership roll.
As you are a huge Levy fan, you would be well aware of his weaknesses, 3 spring to mind for me that I don’t think many can argue.
1. Losses focus a lot, giving him the leadership of the back line has really woken him up to as John Terry would always say, “concentrate on concentrating”.
2. He would get too involved in unnecessary verbal scraps with the opposition players - this has now been harnessed into celebrating with cheering on blocks and tackles.
3. Probably the biggest but leans into the other 2 maybe, when isolated out wide he doesn’t on many occasions get close enough to prevent the cross coming in, we conceded many goals and he was a constant target for opposition teams. Maresca has solved this mostly by insulting him in the rest position between Wesley and Cucu who are more aggressive players. Similarly to what happened with Christensen under Conte. I will also add, Maresca’s biggest light bulb moment was using full backs to defend the opposition wingers (oppose to CB) and using one in Cucu and Reece to sit the rest position LCB or RCB. This is what I had been screaming for under Poch, it was so blindingly obvious. I have seen enough in preseason and last game that Wesley is probably our only CB who can play that roll. Trev was the other.
Sanchez took a massive step on proving ppl wrong ,on corners he was emens needs 8-10 constant games
Let's have an honest conversation here. Madueke should not be a confirmed starter. The young man needs a lot to learn. We should start Neto not only for his experience but for his unselfish play. Madueke tries to do too much/over play, or be selfish.
As for Jadon, he makes me remember Eden....more to come from him🎉

I think we need to start Nkunku ahead of Jackson, Jackson didn't have pre-season while Nkunku played with the team and had some good games and partnerships with the guys, Jackson needs to learn from the bunch

Jackson is fine but he can't stay on his feet, whether that's because he wants free kicks or runs too fast, it's negatively impacting his game (always has since signing) and against West Ham, we need physicality and clinical finishing. Nkunku has that, Jackson does not

You’re tripping. Cucurella just won the Euros. A team is always as strong as it’s weakest link. And currently our weakest link is at RB and ST. Everyone else in the team is suffering for it in the final third and at the back. That needs to be dealt with. Cucurella is class.

The thing about 'n9' is that Guardiola for example only plays with one, if he has a world class striker, otherwise he would rather let an attacker play there to improve the association and create spaces for his mates, we've seen with Jackson yesterday he missed two chances and other than that he didn't do much for the team, I definitely see Enzo maresca dropping Jackson for Felix or nkunku
We don’t need a Haaland type of player. We aren’t Man City. We need a Firmino type of player. Nkunku needs to be starting up front. The traditional tall strong No9 finisher is outdated in todays fast paced game. Haaland is the exception, he’s the complete striker
