    I'm Japanese and have been taking very similar English listening tests in Japan for 6 years. And what I found is that these types of quizzes are confusing in any language and I basically hate them. I need to keep extremely concentrated while the speakers are saying something, otherwise, I could miss some very important information, which is honestly very stressful.

    • @StarlitGlitch

      I agree! I’m a native English speaker who works in ESL. When I listen to listening tests in English even sometimes I get confused since I pay attention to the wrong part or I immediately forget the information 😅

    • @wvter8498
      @wvter8498 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Honestly these are more of "how well you pay attention" tests. When I take these, I only focus on how much I can understand, not whether I can choose the correct answer or not lol.

      @@wvter8498 Focusing only on how muvh u understand is really helpful! Haven't thought about that. These tests make me stressful too. Guess i wont pay much attention to the actual question from now on. Thanks!

      Same here. My mind drifts off during tests like that, especially if the audio is quite long.
      I once did a Cambridge certificate just for fun and caught myself drifting off. To this day, I have no idea how I managed to pass this audio test.

    at 29:15, there's a slight mistake! the guy in the video says 「追加料金を取られてしまいますよ。」but the transcription says 「追加料金を請求されてしまいますよ。」They essentially mean the same thing when translated, but I think the guy should've said what was in the transcription since it is more business-like and less rude-sounding on the part of the taxi driver.

    It's funny. With this one I can understand some really easily and the others I can only understand like 60 to 70% off, and yet still pick the wrong answer cause again some small details escape me, yet I can easily understand what's going on yet not enough at the same time. Frustrating! I guess that means I'm like on 50% of this advanced level.
