You'll learn about Japanese phonetics, such as pronunciation, rhythm, pitch accent, intonation and so on. Those knowledge will help you sound natural when speaking Japanese.
Let’s go for a walk with my neighbor’s dog, Kona-chan!!
It was a hot summer evening when we went for a walk with Koma-chan.
You'll see things very Japanese in this video.
If you want to know more about commands and praises you use with dogs/pets in Japanese, I share some in my blog post.

THANK YOU!
Your speed is on point for students. It's so difficult to find someone speaking simple phrases slowly and well articulated. This channel is a gem.
Glad to hear that. Thank you 😊😊✨
these are so relaxing and helpful, i always try to turn off the subtitles and infer what is happening. you speak so slowly and clearly that i'm able to do that. thank you so much :)
I'm glad it's helpful😄 Thank you, haya-san!
Even when i only get 15-20% i really like these. Its a good practice.
I find learning Japanese with context most helpful. I like this way of learning. I hope you do more videos like this one
I’d love to listen to a podcast by you, just talking about anything. Your voice is so clear and pleasant to listen to for Japanese practice.
I love Koma! Her tail looks like a cinnamon roll! Thank you so much for such high quality videos. You always go above and beyond!

excellent listening material!
Thank you, Zhou Ji-san!😊✨
🎉 very good video! I wonder who edited the video 😁
Editing at its best. Love it! 🎉 there is no boring non-usable or ridiculous moments, absolutely there is no moments like this! Really feel the Japan quality 👍 🎉
I wonder why is this channel has only 200K subscribers, it deserves 100 million! 🗣️🔥💯
Japanese people are just the cleanest, most accurate and smooth people. When I walk in another country I just wonder:
Dude I’m in center of capital!! Why do I see broken roads?! 🙀
While walking in a village far far away from Tokyo I see NO broken roads, NO dirty things or something uncomfortable 😦😀
Japan is a very good county. Maybe the Best! 🎉

As someone who has been monolingual (if that's a term people use) most of their life, it's very interesting to learn how communication is done vastly different in Japanese than in other languages like spanish & english.
Maybe a weird analogy, but Japanese seems like a more continuous way of communicating where english is more discrete. In that the context a sentence in japanese provides is distributed more predictably than in english.
I really love your listening practice videos so much 🥹 I feel like I'm really there getting a little peak at these beautiful places, as the weeks are going by my listening skills have improved too (i don't fully understand but i am getting more context and almost like a 'feel' for what's being spoken )🤗 i do have one question for you, how do dogs cope during earthquakes? I believe these happen often in Japan and i wonder how animals have learnt to cope during such unpredictable events? Thank you 😄
As best I understand things in the natural worlds; there are things that are common to many or most animals, but, canines in particular, have a keen built-in inner sense; as do most felines; as to things beyond the perceptions of most homo-sapiens.
They can detect, by many various senses; means; &, "methods"; so to speak; things like: trapped objects, dead things, shifts in energy, intruders, assorted dangers, enemies, provide rescue, escort, emergency aid, make warnings; alerts, alarms; lead others to lend assistance; assist by themselves, in criminal apprehensions; aid the blind, protect the young, sick; &, old; carry on interspecial relationships; relate to humans in complex ways; &, coping; handling; and, dealing with a sizeable range of things, very well in a large variety of conditions.
They can have better vision, hearing, smell; learning patterns; &, instinctual reactions than most people do. They can ge more disciplined; &, better survivalists.
They usually cope in typical ways, for their breeds, like: foraging, scrounging, gathering, scouting, husbanding, storing, stashing, hiding, guarding, protecting, defending, running, charging, eating, ignoring, drinking, passing by; barking, perking up, listening, obeying, defying, dismissing; yelping, squeeling, tail movements; yawnking, resting, waiting, sleeping, snoozing, wimpering; crying, laughing, smiling, shedding, discarding, growing, developing, changing, making various sounds; &, noises; assembling; packing; grouping; breeding, bonding; walking; and, in essence, most naturally in-breed forms of adaptation; adjustment; reaction; acceptance; alignment; rejection; accomodation; &, advancement of their natural-borne needs, desires, wants, requirements; and, interests; which serve them best; as per their individual personalities; intelligence levels; &, type-driven selections; Etc.

Dear Fumi-Sensei,
I've been greatly loving to learn, together with your pets; about Japanese; accompanied by: your cat; &, your dog; and, I also; really love listening to your soothing; and, relaxing vocal qualities; &, beautifully gentle; soft; accepting; tolerant; forgiving; warm; easy-going; quiet; simple; &, pleasant style; etc.
I enjoyed this video; and, I strongly feel that you ->are a, ->great language teacher; Fumi-San; especially, for a much older; &, already partly experienced; &, rather moderately skilled student, like myself; and, even more so, considering that I have always, enormously preferred: the slower moving formats; albeit, inclusive of the facts, that you keep your style in a great balance; &, your material; &, contents, never get too boring; flat; or, uninteresting.
These are great; &, hugely helpful "learning-walk" videos.
I was highly interested to see the dedicated effort at self-clean-up you made; after your pooch finished his biz; as that's a gigantic problem over here, which in a terribly sad way; nearly all dog owners in America, stubbornly ignore; w/: massively callous indifference.
I will continue to study w/: these marvelous: tools; aids; &, student's educational apprehension aids; and, companions to skill assistance that you graciously provide for all us interested parties to freely use! Also, might I add that your materials, at least in my views, are, indeed; quite a bit better than that which most others are currently offering.
These lend a hand for my listening better; comprehending; contextual learning; inferring; absorption; attention; becoming at more ease; overall understanding; retention; awareness; enjoyment; knowledge acquisition; &, situationally appropriate vocabulary amplification; increase; &, repetitional improvements; graduated attenuation aggregational accumulative learning curve boosting; slow-repetive; self-paced; self-learning;...Etc.; &, they do hold, various other benefits; and, of that; I am sure.
P.S.:
One additional point which I've found is very good for me to add to my learning routines, is utilizing this as part of my practice sessions, in sets, w/: more than one, "informational challenge" style that I try using, for myself...so; for example: both w/: the captions turned on; &, then, later, w/: them turned off; &, then, after a while; rotating them; altering them, back; and, forth; taking notes; replaying them; and, saving them into: a, labeled playlist; Etc.; etc.
I can agree with your name for these lesson groups, as: a, set which will lead motivated; &, interested learners, into: a, much more ->natural way of speaking Japanese as a foreign language.
In addition, your dog seems likes it has a lovely temperament; &, your cat seems nicely peaceful: also!
Thank you for this comment too, Andrew-san.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this video too!😊
The streets look very clean and nice. I assume it's not a big city, I wonder if you pay a lot in taxes to keep the streets looking so good.

Another fun and useful video. Thank you! (comment edited, I used a confusing word as a joke). I did not mean to be confusing.
Thank you for the Super Thanks, Stefana-san! I really appreciate it. BTW, what does "snootering" mean? I tried to search the word, but I couldn't get the result😅
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally Snootering is smelling EVERYTHING. A silly word, sorry:)
Oh, so EVERYTHING includes ... (I shouldn't write them out here😅)?
Thank you for the explanation😊
@@SpeakJapaneseNaturally
Actually, in my experience as a life-long native English speaker, I have ->NEVER heard that word before; so, I feel that the person who just used it, had made up that word, all by themselves; as a, personal customized, self-chosen, individualistic sort of vocabulary word; with perhaps, also, a self-made glossary, as well; that only exists for themselves.
I'm sorry, I was joking. I will edit my comment for clarity.

I don't know what the youtube algorithm would do, but I think コマちゃん was bigger in the thumbnail (like a cute close-up), you might get more clicks/views.
Thank you for the suggestion!
Actually, I thought about that too.
Like this one, th-cam.com/video/4z_dHQgKYV0/w-d-xo.html, has bigger コマちゃん, but this time, I tried a wider view for the thumbnail😊

I work in animal protection, especially dogs, and I have to tell you that going for a walk only twice a day is not enough if the dog does not have at home the opportunity to pee/poo (like a garden or sth). It forces the dog to withhold for too long, and just as with humans this gets painful and unhealthy.
That is the reason why people, who do not live in good conditions for having a dog (green areas close by) should not have any. It would mean caring for the actual needs of the animals instead of just having one because of one‘s desire.
In that way humans are incredibly selfish, even in these days.
Dogs need the possibility to run free and with other dogs without leash from time to time.
So seeing this video makes me sad, although I appreciate the Japanese listening experience.
Please spread the word to actually educate oneself on the needs of an animal before getting one. There is plenty of Information online.
