- When you have a chance to eat at the World's Oldest Restaurant, you eat there! I'm not sure what we thought this experience was going to be like but it was one of the highlights of Madrid, Spain. It was a very particular and unique experience. We booked a tour and 5 course meal with Insider's Travel, a tour company in Madrid. It was pricey at 165 Euros, but so worth it. An average meal there is around 60 per person and this did include 5 courses, wine and a tour of the entire restaurant before anyone else arrived. There were 10 people including us, on the tour.
Botin is a living history museum. The menu and much of the restaurant haven't changed since opening in 1725. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour. The staff were all so accommodating and even invited me in to take pictures.
I can't say enough good things about this experience!
Now, on to the food. The hipe around the food being so god was hard for me to believe. Especailly since they don't ever change their menu and they are working in a kitchen that has been around for some 300 years. But, the food was amazing! The roasted suckling pig is unlike any pork dish you have had and the broth they serve with it will make you want to lick your plate! It REALLY is that good!
Great video! I guess I’ve never thought about The World’s Oldesr Restaurant being in the record book. That was very interesting. Well done!
wow! what a life experience to go to the worlds oldest restaurant. This is amazing.

A 300-year-old restaurant! That’s amazing!!
It is hard to imagine any restaurant being able to stick around so long but after we ate there, we knew why it has lasted so long! Thank you so much for watching! We hope you will join us again next week for more travel adventures.

It truly was a remarkable experience, the history and charm of old restaurants are unbeatable! Thank you for joining us again! ❤️
Casa Botín, founded in 1725, is the oldest restaurant in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records and a benchmark of Madrid's best traditional cuisine. Wow Great
It is also an amazing place to eat. The food was really good and authentic. Cooked the same way for hundreds of years! Thank you so much for watching! We REALLY appreciate each and every person who watches.

I am so glad to hear that you are enjoying watching our channel. And, the teacher in me (Mrs. Karnes) loves to hear that you appreciate the tidbits of knowledge! I guess, once a teacher, always a teacher! LOL Thank you for all you do! 🥰
The oldest???? What a unique experience. YUM! 🌻
It is the oldest in terms of continual business, same owners, same name, same menu, etc. I do believe there are some restaurants that are older but didn't meet all the criteria that the Guieness World record people wanted. Thanks for watching! I really appreciate your support and encouragement! It REALLY means a lot to me! Thank you dear friend! 🥰
Side note: Mrs. Karnes looks beautiful!
Bubblepop, you are so sweet! Thank you so much! Love, Mrs. Karnes 🥰

Phew!!! 300 year old! It should be declared a heritage site if not yet!!
It truly is a remarkable piece of history! And you are right. It should be a Heritage Site! Thanks for watching! We REALLY appreciate it!
What a neat experience! WOW!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was definitely a unique experience that I'll remember for a long time. Thank you so much for watching!

Wow! What an incredible experience exploring the rich history of the world's oldest restaurant. The food looks absolutely delicious, and the plate you received as a gift is adorable. I enjoyed this video, wonderful friends. ❤️❤️

Wow, the world's oldest restaurant still look so good.
Thank you for noticing! It's incredible to see history preserved in such a delicious way.
This is such a beautiful restaurant. That wood fire roasting oven is amazing. I am down for the lamb. I am sure it would be some of the best lamb I have ever eaten. The basement was cool too.
Glad you liked the place! The lamb is a must-try, and that wood fire roasting oven is something else. Hard to believe they never let the fire go out. You should visit Madrid some day! You would love it! Thanks for watching dear friend and prayers as you prepare for a new school year! 🙏
Thanks for this tour! I genuinely want to visit this restaurant! Food looks great. Thanks for sharing!
The food is even better in person, so make sure to bring your appetite when you visit! You won't be disappointed! ❤️ I do hope that you will visit someday! Thank you so much for watching! We REALLY appreciate it!

Such a cool experience!
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! We really thought it was a cool experience as well! More adventures to come so please join us again!
I shouldn't have watched this on an empty stomach! I wanted to finish grandma's leftover cheesecake.
Grandma's cheesecake was amazing. Wish you had been there to share with us! Thank you so much for watching! We REALLY appreciate it! 🥰
I'm sure that pork is delicious!
It was so tender and seasoned so well! We REALLY did love it! Thank you so much for joining us.
Mickey Mouse was also a guest at Botin! I'll try to make paintings at restaurants I go to. Perhaps, they'd keep it and display it. It might sell for a million dollars decades later 😆😅
My gosh! Eating there must be a treat...a real treat! So many Spanish foods have influenced Filipino dishes, like the suckling pig (which is the lechon in the Philippines). I'd like to go there just to see how Spain's suckling pig fares to this Filipina's palette. I trust it would be just as good as ours. And I'll take your tip not to eat breakfast if I plan to go there! ☺😁
It's amazing how food connects cultures! Botín is definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves culinary experiences. I can't wait to hear what you think of the suckling pig when you visit! I would love to try it in the Philippines as well! Visiting your country is certainly on our list! Thanks sweet friend for watching!
@@mrs.karnesandme Hope we'd meet should you visit! Looking forward to that 🥰
