    Thank you for making this. An option for those looking to avoid scratching that top end when clipping the the new strings; simply clip the string before running it through the eyelet of the string lock. I’ve had good results “eyeing” it and cutting before. This simplifies it quite a bit. Just my thoughts.

    I'm not by no means being rude but I find it slightly odd that they'd posted up an upload on how to change strings on a Headless Bass Guitar!.. But no doubt it gives them a chance to show this particular bass guitar off at the same time...
    Though I'll admit that Ibanez's approach with this range of headless bass guitar's is a simplified method of the headless bass guitar's with regards to taking off old & replacing new strings on than the headless basses from the past, I would've like to have seen Ibanez incorporate the use of Double Ball End Strings along with Regular Single Ball End Strings that you can clip the excess off the string that's just waste material & in the way...
    Many of the older headless basses had 2 options for changing strings & that was the regular single ball end one's & the double ball ends rolled into one head stock & for me were quicker to swap but some Guitar Store's didn't have many Double Ball End Strings in stock enough for my liking & if they did it was usually not the gauge I would have used...
    I must admit when I first saw (only) 5 String versions of this bass in various body finishes along with the option of normal fret or fan fretted versions show up in my local Guitar Store back in March 2020 I was intrigued & was interested in buying a 4 String version in the exact same finish in this uploaded video which is (to me anyway) a great look & is called " Dragon Eye Burst "
    But I already had 2 Bass Guitar's put aside for me to pay off first at my regular local Guitar Store where I buy all my instrument's...
    1 of them being was a sweet 5 String Ibanez Premium BTB1805-NTL Fretted Bass Guitar & the other a Pre-owned Pedulla Buzz Fretless Bass Guitar in near mint condition, which I never ever thought I'd get a chance to buy as Michael V Pedulla's basses (especially the Fretless) are very sought after & since MVP announced his retirement from building those beautiful works of playable artistic art in the form of guitar's last year in April 2019, I honestly thought my window of opportunity to buy one of his MVP Pedulla Fretless Bass Guitar's was gone but thankfully for me & obviously the previous Pedulla Buzz Fretless Bass owner must've figured they'd either sell or trade it in to my local Guitar Store & try & get as much for it as possible because since Michael V Pedulla announced his retirement last year, now all his Bass Guitar's, whether Fretted or Fretless, 4 or 5 string , are even more collectable than they were before he retired...
    I've always liked Ibanez's range of bass guitar's that are usually over £1100.00 & above price range & have Norstrand Pick Ups & the usual parts we've become accustomed to having on those particular bass guitar's in that price rang & I see a potential for these Headless Basses to do well but just as I was about to order a 4 String version the world went into Lockdown & I'll just have to wait until things slowly but surely return to normal & I'm very optimistic that this should start to happen by August 2020...
    It's a case of " Each To Their Own " As I've read a few comments that aren't keen on the overall finished product but I'd like to give one a test run once we come out of Lockdown...
    In light of the coronavirus outbreak stay safe & healthy where ever you live in this world...
    .....

    • @VmShpman82
      @VmShpman82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure, but I think it also depends on how many strings your bass has . If you have a 5 string then you have to buy a 5 string set. They colorize the ends of the strings nowadays to help ya figure out which ones are which. I own a 6 string bass & a 4 string. Make sure you buy the proper set of strings when you buy strings, Plus I would not try to mix the strings that came off a headless bass & put them on to some other 4 or 5 or 6 string bass because the length might be different. I struggled at first when I bought replacement strings for my 6 string bass. Now I'm use to it. they color the ends of the little round spacers .

      I believe it has graphite bars in it. If so,, that neck ain't going far enough to matter, imo.
      My first bass was a Silvertone Danelectro copy. No truss rod just two flat iron bars from the metal nut to the end of the neck. Neck was straight and flat for 20 years. Then the body fell apart.
      If an original Dano neck ever needed adjusting , you either shimed it or put it between 2 chairs and jumped up and down on it. ( old joke).
      With graphite reinforcement bars in the Ibanez neck, you would have to try way too hard to mess it up.
