Bears have a loaded secondary, and very solid linebackers. They’ve got a pro bowl DE, and young growing DTs. They have some holes, but they’re moving in a VERY good direction

We’re near the end of rebuilding. I think that after next year this Bears team will be complete. We need a better Center, a better LT anchor type, 3tech, DE. Everything else in the draft and FA is adding depth. This is a roster that can win NOW and get some playoff experience going into the next year or two when we can make a superbowl run. If Williams lives up to the hype, we’ll be a Superbowl contender for years to come.

Not many holes a D end maybe DT and another guy for the O line. We literally upgraded at almost every position.
Jackson is gone upgrades out safety, whitehair / Patrick both gone. Got bates and Shelton UPGRADE.
TE Everett upgrade over our last 2 #2 TEs. Fields (terrible) Williams UPGRADE

LOL watched Bears breakdown and wonders why they are talking about the Bears LOL they literally slotted the Bears third in the Division what's your complaint? Also, two top 10 picks is way better than anything Detroit or the Pack had so it's not talk its facts deal with it.😂😂

I cannot stand this take that they "didn't do this for Fields".... They tried... They regrettably(in hindsight) drafted Velus... Didn't know he'd flop.. They traded for claypool..nobody knew it was going to have the outcome it did (I mean these guys holy-grail team Green Bay even wanted claypool) dude had everyone fooled. But STOP whining "but they didn't do this for JF" they TRIED

    • @jamesburke1019

They did try. They tried harder than most orgs would have. They knew more than Fields himself did that to last in this league you have to function in the pocket. They gave him that chance with every rep in 2 camps and 2 seasons, no one brought in to challenge his job, and not only did he fail to do it but he called them out publicly for having him try. The deal was sealed at that point.

Justin fields can’t read a defense. Why can’t people just admit that. He has never made one drive where he methodically moved the ball down the field. His completions are usually when every thing breaks down. Never a quick release.

  • @joetaravella13

as a BEARS fan who watches every snap since Sunday Ticket...Fields had plenty of chances. Last year it was, "oh man...we got DJ Moore a legit 1! we got Mooney, who's a solid 2,...we got Kmet..top 5-10 TE....MVP! 4,000 yards! Super Bowl!"
and what did we get? a guy who was still a 1-QB read, held the ball too long, missed open WR's and got injured. The rest of the league saw this..which is why no other team wanted him. hell the Steelers didn't pick up his 5th year option lol.
Fields is who he is. On this team, he'd still be the same old Fields.
Who cares...that's in the past. Caleb is the present and the future.

Enough of the “they didn’t do this for Justin fields” Such lazy, sloppy crap. Maybe the head coach and GM who DIDNT draft him simply didn’t believe in him and knew it made more sense building the D and not sacrificing future draft capital. Proof is in the pudding. Got traded for a 6th round pick and is currently a backup. Sounds like Poles treated him 100% correct.

As much as I liked Fields, he was not the quarterback to take this team into the future. Players shouldn't have to be drafted to make the quarterback better. A good quarterback helps the players around him get better. They help each other improve. Justin had enough to at least make strides, but he just couldn't do it. The Bears had a top 12 defense last year, and the O-line was actually underrated. Justin was given time to throw, but he couldn't read defenses, and he was slow in his progressions, often giving up on the play if his first option wasn't there.

The bears didn't have the draft capital and they were capped out from the previous general manager. They had to tear out the old foundation to in position to make these moves. Most of the of takes are not given in proper context of the what's and the why's. Sometimes it's just timing.

Bears should have kept Fields as insurance for 1 more cheap year. Look at the Packers, the Chiefs, and now the Falcons. It’s ok for young men to compete for the starting position, even a QB. They’ve done it their entire football careers. Giving up a talent like Fields when we’ve repeatedly missed on the QB as has a lot of franchises is just a pure waste when you consider we got a 6th rounder next year 😂😂😂

When you have an offense that can score in the nfl you get 'timely' stops and you can win. On defense you need a secondary that can play man to man especially on 3rd and 5 or less and the bears have that so they can win now

So they not are going to take in account that Fields was drafted by another GM. Poles came in and literally rebuilt the team in 2 years. How fast did they expect for him to it? Third why doesn’t he know who the coach is?
