Shintaro, what changes a dojo could do to attract more people into judo classes? I feel like randori is a little difficult for most people to get into as opposed to Jiu Jitsu.
Saw an estimate that the American Judo System contract is 700k to 1 million. I'm not entirely convinced by many things in this particular interview Nicole says, but that seems steep for something most USA Judo members will likely use. A shame we didn't vet our act together yet nationally considering the 2028 Olympic opportunity where we'll have a full host nation team. Never mind having three national federations for some reason.
Great pod...thanks for having this convo.
Thanks for listening!

Maybe we need a new Judo association. The current one seems failed.
We already have three!
A Game of Throws, Nicole Targaryan. House USA Judo and it's politics by HBO (Higashi Budo Operation).

Wow, what a rat's nest. This is one of the reasons I quit Business school.
