Thanks for running through all these with the explanations. You helped me nail down a not often talked about clucky envelope sound Buckethead uses. I'm thinking he uses the tron up setting on his FM4. I know he uses the growler and octosynth but some of his clucky sounds live might come from the FM4 because the only other envelope he has on stage is the Digitech Bass Synth Wah.

Had all four minus the red one which came later. I even bought the plastic stand with places for the pedals with the info books. Why? Still not sure... pawnshops are my kryptonite. Have since traded away the purple filter and the blue modulation, still have the green delay and yellow distortion. I want the modulation pedal back but the filter is just not that usable enough. Brought back horrible memories... enjoyed you mucking about with it though. Houston out, Peace and Music
You should have read the manual, it says all about setting up and using expression pedal, watched this video just to hear how q-filter works, especially with a pedal controlling frequency.
Another informative happy & fun pedal review, definitely my favourite gear reviewers on TH-cam. This FM4 sounds like a pretty funky beast and would be well utilised in my setup, unfortunately in the UK they are now showing as discontinued, which is a shame as I’d rather buy new on these units. Do you know what reliability is like on these in comparison to the DL4 which is also a great unit but well known for their poor reliability? Thanks gents love the show, cheers Stevo (The Dead Xtra’s) Manchester, England.
Thanks Stevo...I think they may have sadly discontinued most of the four button series. I bought all of mine second hand and I’ve had issues with two switches. The only one I ever had on a pedalboard and used extensively was the delay and I never had issues with it...but yeah I’ve heard a lot about switches breaking on people!!
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! Thanks for your reply, if it’s only switches that have failed then that’s not too big a problem for me and easy & cheap enough to replace myself if need be, I may take the chance buying a secondhand FM4 or DL4 if price is cheap enough, thanks again
The SuperFunAwesomeHappyTime Pedal Show! I was given a Line 6 Flexitone 3 amp & pedalboard about 10yrs ago by Johnny Marr from The Smiths for helping him out with things at the time, he used it to record guitar parts on a Pet Shop Boys Album many years ago (‘Obviously’ I think it was??)it was nice enough sounding and seemed well built amp at the time but didn’t particularly suit my style at the time and I sadly sold it on a few years later, suppose I should have kept hold of it for the nostalgia but needs must sometimes 😁🤣
I'm not sure if it fits what you're looking for but I was hunting an FM4 for some Buckethead sounds and found out that the M series of stompbox modelers have all the FM4 sounds baked in. For my Buckethead lasers, clucks, and growls, a used M9 fit the ticket for less money. Plus the delay is pretty good, the reverb is usable, but the dirt is trash.
I have a Filter Pro and absolutely love it! These FX still sound great after all these years
The way you give that show makes me happy. Keep doing it. I like everything you upload.
Thank you very much Bill Lee Music
Buckethead uses this a lot. subscribed

I am glad you guys do reviews of older pedals. Some of them deserve a better look, like this one.
おいしいです is means delicious. You have just introduced me to some delicious sounds.
I’m glad I could introduce you to some delicious sounds!! Thank you!!
Great video, guys!
Thank you Monsieur Safari
I have the rack version of this; it’s a lot of fun. And Bless you, Gabor. Also, the Weather Report tune is “Birdland”. 😀
It's better to use the neck pickup with octave-based effects. It will track notes better
it's PURPLE so it's automatically rad.

You guys are missing half of the settings by not adjusting the freq-Q per patch switching.
Cool
Thank you
I think using spin cycle I was able to get that Swervedriver feedback loop whooping feedback sound, almost, not sure how Adam gets it though?
Talking about adam jones
Do you guys use an overdrive pedal as well?
Ask Billy Idol what that tune is...
Hehe...I will
