Great work - I did install Voltx Lithium battery a few years ago in our Option RV caravan and it worked well until we built a shade shed to protect the van and the solar panels were covered up from the sunlight so I did purchase a multi stage Lithium battery charger and had the power connected to it while under the shade shed. Hope that your new system performes as expected.
That’s good to hear Errol are you still happy with the batteries? 5 years warranty I’m happy to take the punt plus I’ve heard they have some great after sales service
Great job on install, I didn’t have the courage to put larger batteries so bought a VoltX Power Station (M3000) and plug into mains power plug of caravan. Can charge existing battery and provide 240v mains but power station takes space in tunnel boot and not as neat as your install . Anyone looking at buying voltx products look for specials online, sometimes 40% off RRP.
Thanks for the feedback much appreciated, I think them power stations are the go pretty much do anything with them and there’s no noise!! I’ll have to check them out, safe travels 👌 thanks for watching
I would love to see the site supervisors face when them txt screws come loose 😮 bolt them buddy before she tells you off they will come loose mate , but she wasn't doing her job in the first place so you let off 😂
The tek screws at the bottom or top the bottom ones are from factory and been there since 2017 and we have done heaps of travel if it’s the top ones I’ll monitor them over next couple trips away and if they look dodgy I’ll swap them out, hard to get the site supervisor going 😂😂 thanks for watching 🍻🍻
Nice job. Volt meters are a bit redundant with lithium as they keep reading high volts for about 80%of battery usage, State of charge is a better guide. Did you say they have Bluetooth if so the app will have SOC
Great point! I’ve since removed the shunt due to the lack of space to fit, no I don’t think they have Bluetooth I’ll just have to monitor it another way, thanks for watching appreciate it 🍻
@GoneTravelingOZ I think Victron does a Bluetooth waterproof shunt that could be placed next to the battery box if you want one to read from the app on your phone. I wish my installer fitted this instead of the non waterproof one because i needed to run long, thick cables to the shunt inside the van.
Oh the shunt is Bluetooth and water proof the batteries ain’t Bluetooth sorry got mixed up with what you were saying I’ve got an itech world solar blanket with Mppt charger I’ll keep an eye on tha batteries through that no voltage drop, keen to test the batteries out
Good video, but The biggest killer of batteries I see is rocks getting in behind the battery box and rubbing a hole through the battery then water getting in. Mate, do yourself a favour and go and get some new battery boxes .
@ I originally had open ones like yours, but I went and bought two new sealed ones where the lid goes right over the top and vented from the bottom. There is a couple of good TH-cam videos about it .

More power to run all the gear, can never have too much power!! 🎉
Exactly more the better I reckon love to get a few batteries

Good video, but
