Excellent videos. It's awesome that you restore the old equipment, and engines. How about a shop tour video. Would be great to see your work area and all the equipment you use.
Man, I'm from Tennessee. I get excited when you post new videos. I get to see and learn new things and come on any day that you get to play with an engine is a great day. 😊
Yes im in Tennessee as well. Although I've been to London twice. They have no idea where that is. They all thought we were from Texas. It where they make Jack Daniel's haha. Anyway love your videos. I've learned a lot
Hey dude, thanks so much for the effort you put into these videos. We love them so much. I almost jump for joy every time I see a new restoration video pop up. I know it's hard work, so just want you to know that it's appreciated. Love from New Jersey USA🤘
I just wanted to say this but every video you post is an absolute joy! It is always exciting to see a new video come out and watch, the attention to detail and information is great to look and listen to. Please keep up the amazing work 😃👍
I like the design of this deck as there isn't a whole lot of "noise" with it unlike some of the modern counterparts that we have to deal with today. A very nice restoration. Thank you for sharing sir.
the lack of noise is because these tractors have a rotating grass collector in the back; so there's no need to create an air stream (the noise) to push grass away, they simply cut and leave grass down.
Dude your work is impeccably brilliant, love watching your videos, would rather wait for new videos instead of you sacrificing your quality for the algorithm 😊keep up the awesome work!!!!
ive done this before on my countax deck. you didn't need to cut the pully off. you can fit that whole assembly in the press and push the shaft though all,. the press pops the rust weld no bother :). great video! always looking forward for the next one :)
If you keep the blades on, you can hold them whilst loosening or tightening the spindle pulley bolt / nut. I find it easier than trying to hold the pulley.
Excellent video Machinery Restorer :) also that big deck in size and 3 blade types too! Very good information and fix up too ! Keeping going strong 💪 and like your videos too!
As much as I enjoy these videos, there is one thing that's good (or convinient perhaps) that they take a lot of time to do. There's aslways time for the grass to regrow! If you could do one of these once a week you would probabdy run out of mowable grass quite quick. Keep up the good work!
Had some bad experiences with those pulleys getting rusted to the spindles. Worst one was where the pulley and the spindle were of an odd size, so both _had_ to be saved. Cutting was out of the question, heat was not enough, and puller was starting to mess up the pulley. Ended up plugging up the grease port at the top, then welding on a steel cap with another grease zerk in it over the end (welded to the pulley). After everything cooled off that cap got pumped full of grease and finally enough pressure got built up that it forced the pulley off the shaft. Grease got re-used for actual grease-y purposes later, so no waste there.
Love the videos….word of advice, get rid of the flat steel rule when cutting using a knife and get yourself a metal safety rule (it has a “M” shaped profile). I sliced the end of my finger off when the knife slipped and ran across the metal rule.
There is a product called Lab Metal that is a filler that can be powder coated. You could have filled the rust pitting and made it look a whole lot better.
No matter what you coat the inside of a deck with its like a sand blaster in there and the coating always comes off 😅 Countax/Westwood decks are famous for rotting around the gull wing dividers and skirt where water gets trapped on the IBS (interactive blade system) decks, later decks had a plastic insert. It looks almost like factory now, well done.
I want to point out the 2 holes in the pulley there... That's for a different style puller, and that tends to be better. Granted... What ya said does ring with truth... Pulleys are beyond a nightmare once stuck. Wish I had some magic oil or trick to tell you about like soaking it in liquid nitrogen or something, but I don't think it'd save the day here...
Look on the title of the video, pick ‘more’ - scroll down to the bottom of the page that appears, pick ‘About’ it’ll open a page with an email contact on there. Hope this helps.
What are you going to do now countax Westwood are ceasing production on parts?! I’m a countax owner and this deck resto is so good I desperately want to do the same with my deck!
Hi, jusz a quick question. What about coating the underneath of the deck with rubberised coating to prevent rock chips from damaging plastic. Same stuff that's used for cars, trucks etc.
Great video. As for the powdercoating, I'm not in favour of treating decks with this method. The reason being that powder doesn't creat chemical reaction with metal that would protect the rust. Also, when even smallest imperfection occurs while normal use, and nitrogen from grass starts its action, the coat peels off with plasters after short time. Just my opinion out of observation.
You should use an gear and pulley puller instead so you dont damage the wheels. The holes in the pulleys are there for that reason….. And heat a lot, then they come off undamaged….
Where I live at in the USA u don’t restore mower decks. It doesn’t make sense to have it done because the cost of labor always outweighs the cost of get a used deck. had 3 different people tell me that work on lawn tractors this. As long as it’s mechanical sound just use it as is if it has surface rust on it dont paint it
why are you doing things backwards? loosen the belt tension spring, then pull the belt off and take the pulleys off, i dont understand the need to skip steps just because, you need to inspect that tension spring anyway for slack or if its too tight. which could be a reason as to why the belt itself was skuffed up on top, just as much as the pulleys could be out of alignment.

Also from Tennessee
The amount of effort restoring these things is incredible. Add to that recording, commentating and editing equals phenomenal work.
A little old school secret for breaking stuck bolts. Heat the bolt up and touch a candle to the bolt. The wax will wick into it and lube the bolt
Great work as always. I really appreciate all the time and effort you put in to your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I think it's cool how much less toxic these comments are to your other channel those other guys will complain about anything,
Keep on keeping on dude
Another detailed, quality restoration. Client will be very pleased.
Great job you have done Daggerwin 👌👍
Well done! The only thing I would have changed is the belt, then everything is new 😂

Nice looking fabrication on this mower deck
Couldn't ask for a better result than that. It looks great and works flawlessly. Very nice job. 😁👍

what a nice job on that deck. Seems to cut nice too.

Another great video. 👍. I’m sure the customer was pleased.
That came out very nice. I’ve never seen a rear discharge before.
Really enjoy your work
Always appreciate a great rebuild thanks so much for the video weirdly satisfying 😊
You do a very good job on these videos. Would really like to see if you have more to come of that blue quad. Thanks!
Nice to see another video 👍 Turned out really well. I've started using 2K Raptor on the underside of the decks, it's really solid stuff!
The quality of your videos is worth the wait 🙌
Excellent job!
I really enjoy your videos sir, thank you for sharing these with us
Great video Daggerwin and the restored piece of equipment looks amazing ❤🎉
If I get a ride on mower I know who to call for a restore
The deck looks great and it cuts great as well, very nice job!
The British Sling Blade. I love this guy, keep going.
ive done this before on my countax deck. you didn't need to cut the pully off. you can fit that whole assembly in the press and push the shaft though all,. the press pops the rust weld no bother :). great video! always looking forward for the next one :)
Another fine job in the books. Great work as always!
I’m from Michigan and I have never seen a garden tractor like that, looks pretty stout 💪🏻
nice job! fresh decals really set it of. nice to see your face too =)
Another nice chill out video, great stuff. Would be awesome if you could put out more content but I understand you’re busy, so no probs if not! 🙂
Excellent Job Restoring Deck On Riding Mower
Amazing results! Looks and cuts great!
If you keep the blades on, you can hold them whilst loosening or tightening the spindle pulley bolt / nut. I find it easier than trying to hold the pulley.
Great video as always ! Thinking about the under deck cleaning, i personnaly use a rotary pressure jet, i think it's more efficient than straight jet
I very much enjoyed it, Dagger 👍
Excellent work. Thank you for this great video.
Good job mister beautifully restored well done
Amazing. Factory fresh
Nicely done good sir.
You do a really good job on your restorations👍🇺🇸
Nicely done!
Excellent video Machinery Restorer :) also that big deck in size and 3 blade types too! Very good information and fix up too ! Keeping going strong 💪 and like your videos too!
hi god bless you for good content keep up the good work
Awesome Job. Will also be great to see more video's.
Great job 👍
Hi, Anita! This is El.
Great job!!!
Love your videos keep up the great work and take ur time
Great video as always 👍
New film! Super!

Well done sir 👍
❤❤❤I think that from the bottom side, rubber plastic, diesel or pallet are used as an insulator for working conditions..... Amazing job
Nice job. 👍
Really nice job 👍
10:20 .. Now THAT is a death wheel!
a lot of hard work has gone into that well done one day id love to do my old westwood s600 just need to find a decent engine for it 👌👍

Yes another video 🎉🎉🎉
Nice one🎉
16:32 THATS what I wanna see, cutting deck COMPLETELY painted underneath!!!! On EVERY mower!
Love the videos….word of advice, get rid of the flat steel rule when cutting using a knife and get yourself a metal safety rule (it has a “M” shaped profile). I sliced the end of my finger off when the knife slipped and ran across the metal rule.
Nice work, now the customer can sell the thing and get one that has an easy to change belt.

Great video , would you ever do a workshop tour ? Showing types of tools and welder you use ?
I'd like to but because my workshop is so small it's a mess...even when tidy haha.
I really like your videos. You should look to restore a gas powered pressure washer. Once you own one, you wont ever want to go back to electric.
Thanks! Yeah I've tried harmonic pullers on them before but most of the time they are still too stuck
How do I get in touch for your services?
You don't...

You don’t get the Tully hot enough. You want it glowing. Oxyacetylene is what you need
you do know he's in the u.k. right?

SHINY! SHINY! SHINY!! 😊

Always a shame to know these are going to mow grass and not be hung on the wall. Beautiful work!
Yeah need lore vidoes so the lawn can get mowed more often lol.
Have you worked on other small engine vehicles, like an old Honda Three wheeler or something similar?
Great video. what was the rebuild cost versus the cost of a new deck ?
Probably cost around £250 and a new deck is £1000+
How's progress on the countex or however you spell it? btw your content is great and always worth the wait.
Still work in progess :)
I’d rather a few videos per year than a stream of lame content. Great work again
How and where do you get those sticker decals?
what ive noticed is that the grass dosnt stick to the deck when its not painted
I keep expecting farming simulator to pop up😂
At 18:24 I think you put the wrong sound clip in for that part lol. Sounds like you are painting when you are reassembling.
lol
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wish I had the health to repair my 6 riding mowers. A long time ago I started buying and repairing mowers to sell. Now I'm unable to do it.
You should get a sponsor from WD-40
Haha
What happened to the diesel mower
You should use an gear and pulley puller instead so you dont damage the wheels. The holes in the pulleys are there for that reason….. And heat a lot, then they come off undamaged….
Sometimes that can work but these pulleys are so soft, they nearly always just bend
How do you make the decals ❓want to make my own decals for a mower am working on.
I use Affinity Designer and then send off the files for printing by a Vinyl company
@@MachineryRestorer Thanks sm going to check it out
24:12, might want to cut that since you're visible.

How much did you charge the customer for this service?
About Tree Fiddy
Thanks for the effort you put in to produce these videos 👍👍👍🦘
I wonder how mush he charged to do this job?
why are you doing things backwards?
