Hey Ben, great lesson! The first approach I was introduced to by the great Vic Juris, late great guitarist from New York. He used to do jazz camps at the University of Toledo each year. The second approach is as useful and will be a great addition to my toolbox!
Thanks so much for watching, Ken! Vic was one of the all-time greats, I was very sad to hear of his passing several years ago. I would've loved to have attended one of his jazz camps, many of my NYC guitar colleagues studied with Vic and told me how brilliant his teaching was (as well as his playing, or course). Thanks again for watching!
Hey Ben, cool stuff here as always! Love it! Thanks a lot for sharing! I wish I could see you playing together with Robbie Barnby! Love both of you guys! Cheers DimiZ
Beginner guitarists: I'll only play the pentatonic Intermediate guitarists: meh, pentatonic is overplayed! Advanced guitarists: I will use a pentatonic over every single chord in giant steps using holdsworthian legato. No other scales or chords exist, they are all derived from the pentatonic Memes aside thank you for the lesson!!!
