My mortgages was around 8 or 7 percent for almost forever. It was fair and average for the last 100 years. When they dropped to 3% about 15 years ago it was a god send and I paid my mortgage off 8 years earlier. But I alway expected them to go back up to 8%. Cheap 3% mortgages is what cause house prices rot rise by a 100%. It is to cheap and banks will lend you 3 times more money than they should.
