About "Watch" and "&Burn" (like in "watch and learn"): Billie and Finneas couldn't decide which version auf "Watch" was better, Finneas liked the original version while Bille prefered the version with V.S. So at the end both versions ended up on the EP.
I totally agree with you. BiFi are a once in a generation talent. This EP is as good as any of her later songs. Very excited and curious about her next album. Some snippets I've heard sound interesting, but some sound like Billie Disco. I think it will be more like 'Happier Than Ever'. Looking forward to your next Billie reactions..
It would be cool if u could watch "the world's alittle blurry" documentary about how Billie at 13 and fineas got their start and it shows how the produced/made their first album in fineas bedroom. And it shows her world to becoming famous and the things she's gone threw along the way. It's long but it's amazing and u will get to learn more about this duo!!!! ❤❤❤
I think that it’s a combination of things. They have parents who are in the performing arts ( They met while doing a play in 1984 and married 11 years later) . When they had Finneas ( 1997) they put their acting on the back burner. Maggie taught at The Groundlings and was one of Melissa McCarthy’s teachers there and Patrick worked as a carpenter and did a bit of “ day “ acting. They have instruments in their house ( a 2 BR but they slept on the pullout couch so their kids could have their own bedrooms) and they played them and taught both of them how to play piano, ukulele, guitar. They were also home schooled and their parents nurtured their artistic talents and passion. They’ve said that they never had a bedtime as long as they were creating something.
Billie has so many influences her biggest ones especially vocally are Julie London (the vocal delivery), Peggy lee (in her vocal attitude in some parts), and then a mix of Mazzy star, Lana, and Lorde. In her Ep even Aurora! 🔥

Her new album drops next month! 10 tracks. The album is called “hit me hard and soft.” I’ve heard some snippets of some songs. I’m gonna say that there’s a track on there that’s like EDM. More growth! Pre-save it! Not sure if you know, but Billie recently came out. Said she’s bisexual. I feel like she’s been feeling pretty free recently…and happy! I think she even has a girlfriend, but don’t quote me on that. One of the songs on her new album is called “lunch”…and I won’t go into details on the lyrics. I’ll just say its about another girl she’s diggin 😆 But she recently was at Coachella and performed with Lana Del Rey. Two songs. “Ocean eyes” and lana’s song “video games.” She also recently said she had the time of her life at Coachella. And she posted that “life is beautiful.” I’m so incredibly happy that she’s feeling so happy and free. It’s awesome! Ps: I feel like this album is going to be just as good as the others. Possibly better.
