Back then Billie had this thing for ladders. At times she brought them on stage or posed with it.
As for the ladder on the cover, actually her dad made this ladder for her. :)

Billie at 15 was already so mature mentally for her age you are not there girl you don’t know what you missed 😭😂 it was wild ….. I’m truly older than her and i was obsessed with her wisdom and mentality 😂 but she also suffers of depression, so that’s why … who suffers of depression they are living more and in the future , they are more mature inside than other ppl… anyway she is really funny, goofy and silly and unserious sometimes, but she is really interesting and sooo sweet and down to earth 😊
anyone who achieves that level of fame so young really has to grow up quick🥹 lots of pressure to perform so young!

this EP already sold almost 15M units 😅 and it’s the most successful EP of all time lol.. it’s charting for more than 250 weeks on Billboard 200.. and it’s still charting in some charts globally and this year even in UK.. For the cover is influenced by a 40-60s cover of a jazz singer but I don’t remember who now 😭 Anne Marie (a singer) also copied the design of Billie cover in her album ”Speak Your mind” .. Billie is influenced a LOT by jazz and indie / dream pop of the past especially in Jazz .. Julie london , Peggy lee 😊 in her last album “Happier than ever” vocals, production, her cover and her shooting with VOGUE UK are influenced by Julie london.
I cannot deny she has made a name for herself in the industry! I honestly don't know why I haven't listened to her music sooner; I think I need to start listening to more artists in the early twenties age because I grew up with the ones who are now in their 30s!

She recorded Ocean Eyes when she was 13 and uploaded it to SoundCloud and it went viral, after that she got a record deal and started making music on a regular with her brother who is also her producer. She recorded the MV to Ocean Eyes the day after she turned 14 and after that she released this EP and a couple singles. Also Billie has synesthesia and she associates sounds with colors and she picked the concept for the album cover, her dad build that later for her specifically for the album cover. More Billie please!!! Her debut album is dark so brace yourself for the lyrical content 😅. Aka. MORE BILLIE PLEASE!!!

@@toolertotmusicbox to be fair Ocean Eyes was written by her brother cause he had been trying to become a musician for a while but he felt that Billie’s vocals would suit the song better and also she was taking dance lessons at the time and her dance teacher asked her to record a song that they could do a choreography to (cause he knew she was also into music) and Ocean Eyes was released so her teacher and classmates could have access to the song and it went viral. Shortly after Billie had a big injury and had to quit the dancing school. She started to co-write every song with her brother since then.
@@tamirongashe also wrote some songs only by herself! And for other artists too but behind the scene. She also wrote some unreleased songs like “6.18.18” at only 16 about her friend xxx tentation death .. 💔 she wrote that song just for him… so sad and emotional those lyrics … probably her best written song for the topic and emotional side of the song.
You also forgot the production is based on “Runaway” by Aurora, Billie fav artist at that time who Billie said was the artist who inspired her to make music and to start and want to have this career.. this was Billie inspiration for the production of Ocean eyes and she and finneas created it together which had to be perfect for choreography of contemporary dance.. and in fact there is also the music video with the ballet where Billie at 13 years old dances to this song with other dancers😊
@@toolertotmusicbox not that song because Finneas already had the lyrics, but she started writing songs when she was 7-8 years old playing her ukulele, then more seriously at 11-13 years old and professionally at 14-15 years old😊

It came out when she was 15, so she obviously wrote most of it (with her bro) before then, assuming it wasn't written like the day before it dropped lol. She was more likely 14. Ocean Eyes I know she recorded at 13. Cheers.

Like "When The Party's Over" on her first album. On her EP, Watch, Bellyache, and especially Hostage have crazy good visual art.
She definitely killed her friends and her lover in bellyache. In the video you see her on the side of the road and there’s a pile of dirt and a shovel.
The guy you heard in the backing vocals is probably her brother, Finneas. They write/record/produce all her music together. He has his own solo work as well.
Edited to add that in idontwannabeyouanymore she’s talking to herself. In the video she’s singing to her own reflection in a mirror.
Oh wow! I didn't see that in bellyache😱 I feel like music videos always give such a cool perspective of what the artist is thinking and even an emotion they want to get across even if its not exactly what their showing us! Finneas slaying the vocals in the back; also I love the concept of her and just a mirror for the idontwannabeyouanymore song.
