    October 1991, I took the practical nursing exam. It was paper and pencil. The room was so cold. I was so nervous. I wish there was someone like you to help us. I found Kaplan very helpful. It took 2 months to get results. The results were mailed out. If you received a large yellow envelope, you failed. If the envelope was small and white you passed. The candidates worked for 2 months as a GPN, graduate practical nurse. I received my small white envelope in December 1991. Praise God! Thank you, Emma, this information is very helpful.

      Omg I cannot imagine the agony of having to wait for results to be mailed out!! Do you remember how long you gave yourself to study for the NCLEX?

    • @mannchahal8649
      @mannchahal8649 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@shenolajohnson4445 hi it was hard as compared to Canadian exams. Lot of questions about acute. Big big scenarios regarding patient visiting hospital with multiple problems. They will try to trick you to confuse you with similar options. Honestly i only checked answers in SATA questions when i was 100% sure about the answer. Some of my answers i only picked one. This way i had to go through lot of questions that was the only trick i used. Avoid picking wrong answers. Read kaplan LPN nclex book. Lot of similar questions. I didn’t read i had the book though realized it after the exam and pattern is very much similar. You will make it cz you only have to get 50% of your answers right which is not as difficult if you have the basic knowledge. Honestly I couldn’t prepare as much as i should and i still passed. I hope it helps.

      Hi, I don't think you can pay for the exam without getting the okay from the board. From my experience, we had to wait for the school to submit all paperwork, then we received an email from Pearson to sign up for a test date.
