Can you update what are your main questions to ask pt during assessments? I get nervous mid assessment and forget
Hi, there's a form i fill out when I'm visiting patients. I fill it out with how the patient is down over all , level of orientation, last doctor's visits/hospitalization, any reported pain/changes of meds, any therapies they're receiving and progress with that.
What kind of bonuses did or can you earn?
Hi, depends on the company. I didn't stay there long enough to find out.
This is very interesting and promising . I was going to go to school for LPN and I studied for the TEAs but I’m not the best at math so I chickened out about the TEAs. I’ve never been a home health aide I was deciding to just for my LPN
Hi the math portion was not bad! What did you use to study for it ? I would definitely encourage and recommend being a home health aide. It's great experience, honestly!
Hello What school did you go to that was 11 months and what was the cost?
Hi I went to a technical College in GA. The program was about $6k
God is always there 🥰🙏🏽
I’m going through your videos
Absolutely! ❤️
Thank you supporting my channel missy! ❤️ I can't wait to carve out some time this weekend and catch up on what you have going on!
I thought I commented when I watched it 😂😂 but some people always want to be the “star” of the show! 💁🏽♀️💁🏽♀️
Yesss! Tell me about it! Like, it's okay to celebrate others too, you know! 😭
Hey 👋🏽 Emma!! I feel you on the distractions. I wonder what people do when they have wfh phone jobs with kids? You can’t take those breaks as much.
Yes that's true but thank goodness for noise canceling headsets for those who have "active" kids lol. Working from home with young kids has its challenges for sure!
I do the same but as a medical Assistant ❤
Hi, you work for a private practice or hospital?
Heyyy what kind of experience do I need for a full remote job? And do you have any recommendations on certain companies?
Hey missy! The experience needed honestly depends the type of job/position you're applying for. Cigna is usually one of the main companies I see that Hires remote nurses.
The bob is not bad! BUT, men are more visual than women, so I wouldn’t put your husband through that phase lol. I would find that hairstyle that’s fits you perfectllly, that makes you pop effortlessly and easy of course
Lol! You are right about that! The man couldn't even give me an alternative, he just knows this one wasn't it 🤣 I enjoy trying different hairstyles, so I'll be mindful next time lol Thank you for watching ❤️
Hey 👋🏽Emma ☺️ I love ❤️ your vlogs and I been watching you since day one!! You inspired me to start this vlogging channel. I have another channel msqueeneats. I got hired with a healthcare company working remote and I start next week 🥰 I can’t wait to do more work from home vlogs.
Hiii, first of all, congratulations on your new position!! What do you do? and congrats on your new channel! Looking forward to seeing the content ❤️
@@SignedEmmathank you! I work for CVS as a Pharmacy Tech Prior Authorization Representative. I have my first video premiere on Thursday 😌🥰 I been watching you since you first started. I have another channel too Msqueeneats.
I thought LPNs couldn't do assessments under their scope of practice. Can someone clarify this for me
We're nurses and nurses perform assessments under some form or fashion. The extent depends on your state/ facility you work in.
What time are your morning huddles
Hi, they were at 10am If I recall correctly.
I am both a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Certified Nursing Assistant with experience in Medical Billing,Coding, Transcription with other responsibilities and trying to fast track Lpn-Rn Program. This is not easy, yet I love to help people and I hope this will help me with the means to have the life I truly deserve. The hope is also to see if this can assist with becoming a P.A.
I love your diversified background! I'm wishing you all best in your endeavors! ❤️
Do you mind telling how you nursing remote job.
Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question. Will you please clarify that
Thanks. Very interesting. Appreciation

Congrats on getting in! Best of luck to you! 🎊
Great profession 10 years as a nurse also 😊 all the best
It truly is a great profession! ❤️
This made me feel so much better because I haven't heard many that are using ATI. I find ATI really helpful too. Thank you for this info!
@@Ace-true1 You're so welcome! Good luck to you!
Hi, what are the alerts about? and is care coordinator really hard navigating patient's problems to solve? or is it repetitive work but just that it gets very busy?
Hi Ally, I help manage patients with chronic conditions remotely. So when patients take their blood pressure, for example, I triage them when they're out of range (alerts). I'm actually working on a video sharing more details to my job, since there's new supporters onto the channel. Please be on the look out ❤️

Hey Emma! Love the video as usual. New LPN here working in outpatient. Side note: I think I saw you at Target in my area the other week. Wanted to say hi, but didn’t want to frightened you. Small world! Keep the vids coming!❤❤
Hi Katrina! Omgosh! You definitely should have said hi! It is a small world for sure. I can't believe I've gotten to a point where people recognize me 😅 That's wonderful. What specialty do you work in missy?
@@SignedEmma well if I see you again, I will. I work in pulmonary medicine. Although I love having my weekends off, I hate commuting 30-40 minutes in traffic daily. I know I’m a new nurse but I’m ready to try out a remote position, but I don’t think anyone would hire me because I’m so new to the field.
@katrinarobinson1231 What do you think about the job so far? And I agree missy, I'd say give it at least a year to gain work experience. It helps also if your previous experience is in the "same field" (CNA, medical assistant, PCT etc...). Time flies, you'll have more options in no time!
@@SignedEmmathe job isn’t bad. Very busy, which I enjoy. The cattiness of some of the ladies in office is a turn off for me, but thats neither here nor there. I feel like every job has its select few of drama warriors lol. My background is in hospitality management. I worked in hospitality before transitioning into healthcare, so I’m brand new to the field. The company that I work for allows its employees to transfer into a different area (clinic, hospital, urgent care etc.) after 6months of employment. I think I will take them up on that offer and transition to urgent care. Im eager to learn in as many settings as I possibly can.
@katrinarobinson1231 Ohhhh that office drama is something I absolutely do not miss! lol I think your 6 month plan to transition to urgent care is a wonderful idea! Go for it!! ❤️
I’m being offered a night gig like this exactly how you explain it. How are we supposed to call patients and stuff at 4pm-2am? It’s so confusing the way i was offered the job, I’m still confused how were supposed to do an assessment and care for them in a way we do in bed side. 200 patients seems like a lot to monitor, how does legality work and how do you get to each patient without loosing it lol? Patients with bp in the 200s if they don’t respond to your calls, can you call ems? I’m wanting to do this but I’m worried that the hours will effect my mental, cause 4pm to 2am seems wack😢
Hi, I would definitely encourage you to follow up with your hiring manager about it the questions and concerns you have! Sounds to me it's a monitoring job for after hours? Yes monitoring that many patients can be a lot, be with learned time management it's doable. It's definitely different nursing from bedside!
I just found out.. thanknGod GA partocipates.. i want to try it.
You should! How long have you been an LPN? Keep me posted on the process please ! 🙏🏽
I been applying on indeed for a year and a half. Most jobs are ghost 👻 jobs. Beware of this. I have had only responses from employers on LinkedIn only
Hi Emma! I’m excited to share that I’ll be starting school next year to become an LPN! I’ve been working in healthcare for 7 years as an ER Tech and Phlebotomist. When I saw in your video that LPNs can work from home, I was shocked, it opened up a whole new world for me that I didn’t know existed. I’d love to learn more about this, and I want to thank you so much for your content!
Hi Stephanie! Congratulations on getting into the LPN program! Seven years as an ER tech and phlebotomist is amazing experience! Definetly will help you stand in your new grad resume! And yes ma'am!! There are so many specialties and settings LPNs can work in! This fall will mark 4 years as an LPN and I've been working remotely in chronic disease management for almost a year now. I like the job so far, Definetly provides a lot more work life balance than my previous job in management. Welcome to my channel missy and feel free to ask away (or email me! ) ❤️
❤
You work from home?
Yes I do
I agree totally!!!!! ❤
❤️
Hi, this was my 1st video. Thanks for adding the wfh jobs in the description.
Yes of course missy! Thank you for watching ❤️
Wow the leg device is cool. Can I ask hows the pay?
Right?! Never seen or heard of anything like that. The pay is decent! I was offered my desired pay. Will be making a video about pay ranges for this type of role soon. 👌🏾
I want to work from home so bad but I’m nervous about the pay. If you don’t mind me asking what’s to pay range for a job like that
Hi, the pay range carries. I'd say between $24-28. I was offered my desired pay so there's definitely room for negation.
Hi Emma I am a fellow Nurse. I wanted to ask if your company is currently hiring? Thank you 😊
Hi Lynn, I'm not sure, but I can definitely ask! Here's my email: Signedemma@gmail.com
Thank you Emma. I appreciate that.
Were dosage calculations hard for you? That’s what I’m most afraid of. I know after 3 tries and you don’t pass you’re out of the program.
Hi, I would say it had some challenging moments. For me, dosage calculation for peds gave me a little bit of a hard time, especially for iv drips. But we had a pharmacology instructor who was amazing at making sure we felt comfortable with the math and made time to go over extra problems if we needed. Always always ask for help before any exam or quiz. My school didn't have "dosage calc exams" with the 3 strike rule. But we would have dosage calc questions in our pharmacology exams.
@@SignedEmmaAwwwww okay that’s great to hear and wow that’s a blessing when it comes to you guys not having that rule!
@@melaninqueen4140Tell me about it! I was dreading that too! lol
I love this video lady! 🥰
Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! ❤️
Happy Sunday Emma☀️
Happy Sunday, Tawanda and Have a wonderful work week !!❤️
U forgot that evil drug dosage 😅
LOL!! That's a good one missy! Surprisingly, we didn't have dosage calculation tests in the program I attended! We did have those questions in pharmacology exams, though.
I’m a phlebotomist starting Lpn this month .
Congrats on getting in and best of luck to you missy! 👏🏽
What is your job title?
Hi, I'm a nurse care coordinator
Great information! Was a CNA for 6 years now doing the LPN program. 5 more classes I am done. Any advice for A&P
Hi! Honestly A&P is all about memorization. Just reviewing the material until you're able to retain the information. Flash cards also help! Wishing you all the best in your remaining courses missy! ❤️
Home Health patients be the busiest people in the world 😂
LOL! I'm telling you! I have one who still won't respond to me what day of the week would work best for them, AFTER telling me they couldn't do the weekend. Like MA'AM, I have a 9-5 to stress about, please dont add to it!! 😂
@@SignedEmma 😂😂🤣
Thank you for your videos ❤ Is there a minimum requirement of experience at the bedside that you suggest? Is 1 year enough to start applying for remote work?
@LadyLetii Hi, I really think it depends on the type of role you're applying for. Some jobs will require more than 1 year of experience in a specific speciality, and others will want general nursing experience. Don't limit yourself, though, go ahead and apply!!!
@@SignedEmma makes sense. Thank you!
@@LadyLetii You're welcome! 😊
Hi, Emma!!! I’m an LPN as well & start a remote position in a week. Nervous & excited!
Hi! Congrats on your new remote job! What's your role ? 😃
@@SignedEmma Personal Care Coordinator.
@TigraLe1 Nice! Best of luck to you on your new role missy! I'd love to hear more about your experience there as you get settled! ❤️
Hi. I am an LVN too.. how do I navigate getting a remote position?
@@TheMomLifee indeed worked for me!!! I know a lot of ppl have had negative things to say about it, but thats where I found my job.
Mommies always multi-tasking ❤️Thanks for sharing Emma☺️
Always! ❤️
I’m a concierge front desk for assisted living facility & half of the time I have to lie or cover up for the DON since I know taking too many messages can be underwhelming for you guys… I always tell them if I could leave a message for them but they always say that she never responds to their emails or calls back. Do you think that’s justified? I really feel bad for lying to the sons or daughters but a part of me think it’s wrong but I also understand that being in a role like that with no Assistant DON can be overwhelming.
Oh my, there's one thing to be unavailable on some days but never following up with emails/calls is another. The job is very busy, especially without assistance. A 48-72hr period is acceptable but never following up will definitely lead to angry family members. Have you brought that up to her?
@@SignedEmma don’t get me wrong due to staff shortages, she doesn’t have an Assistant that’s why the best I could do is recommend having them come talk to her in person…. But idk I feel like I’m in the middle between doing good for somebody & doing wrong for the other person. I have not brought it up to her because she does not want to hear it from someone in a position like me, she runs the show. Her voicemail inbox is full… is that something that sounds common from people in a DON position like that???
Did u have to purchase any equipment for the position?
Hi, my laptop was provided by my employer. I just bought a wireless keyboard with the mouse.
@@SignedEmma thanks
Hi!! Please keep making videos I LOVE this. I am a month into this role and my worry as of now is building a great relationship w my care team
Hi! Congrats on your new position! It'll take some time for your staff to come around. My best advice is to be consistent with what you say and be firm with the policies set in place. It can also help if you ask other members of management what the other wellness director did to manage the building successfully. I no longer work in this field, but I've made a few videos sharing my experience/tips for this role. Hope this helps some! 🙏🏽
