I've read some negative reviews online saying that this movie displayed Diana as a "weak woman who throws up all the time" which leaves me really confused and angry. As someone who suffers from the same ED Diana had, I think this movie does a fantastic job illustrating the mental toll ED really has on a person, because that's what it really does -- it takes over your life, not matter how many "accomplishments" one has. It doesn't make you weak, it's a mental illness. I was wondering whether or not they were going to show that aspect of her life in the movie like they did in The Crown, but I have to say, this movie has SUCH a better depiction regarding the strggules of EDs without trying to rush through it. Kristen Stewart nailed it. (I won't say any spoilers but there's one particular scene that literally had me bawling! Stewart truly encompasses the feeling of termoil, anguish, and loss of control). I'm so glad they brought awareness to this.

Kristen Stewart was fantastic in her indie films - Speak, Underwater, Personal Shopper, Still Alice, Clouds of Sils Maria, Camp X-Ray, etc. It annoys me when people watched like couple of mainstream films with her and act like they figured the actor out.
