Yeah of course, that was just a quick exaggeration in the moment. There so much moment to moment laughter, that it felt like it. Obviously depends where you are the in arc, and which arc etc.
The idea that Luffy's body being rubber could explain him stretching around the wound as you say makes some sense tbh. In our world we constantly hear about people getting stabbed and how it was "only a few cm away from cutting such and such a vein/artery." A lot of the time the weapon is good at breaking into the body cavity but not quite sharp enough to do anything to the veins/arteries and kinda pushes them out of the way. A good example of this is when you're getting your blood taken or an IV in, they just kinda move out of the way in a kind of rubbery way; it's often called vein rolling. Luffy's rubber body totally could help with this. Along side this is the fact that although Luffy can get hurt by cuts and stabbing, he is still somewhat resistant to it compared to the average person. If you've ever stabbed or cut a rubber (eraser) then you'll know what i mean.
Mr. 3 in the manga just floating without a table or anything, it was a plot hole since Mr. 3 is a devil fruit user so he will drown. But Oda is a menace I tell you.
Damn I forgot to comment here. What should I say? This episode onwards are my favorites from alabasta... I still remember my hype for it, i saw all of the episodes 110-130 in 3 days, and i don't regret it.
Ayo nice glad you’re back. Wasn’t sure you’d ever upload again glad I stayed subscribed
Oh and it seems I missed some episodes too
thanks for sticking around :)
One Piece is more like 40% Comedy, 40% Drama and 20% Action, than it is 90-95% Comedy as you state.

One Piece characters are just built differently casually surviving a hole thru the chest.
I'd argue smoker was never a villain just an obstacle he's literally introduced paying for a kid's ice cream.
yeah if you watch my Loguetown video, there's me thinking hte next big bad, and then the icecream thing happens, and I'm like 'ohh I made a mistake'

the fact they didnt try actually explain it for real, I think helped. The whole meat thing was crazy enough to go 'alright sure thing'
The episode 110 unlocked Ratatouille flashback in our captain memories.
holy shit, that's exactly what it felt like. I love how the ratatoulle flashback scene is so known
You are not ready, Captin.
It says something about Crocodile that he keeps sending sandstorms just to break one old guy's spirit. He must hate optimistic people...
oh wow thats a good thought. implies some past where maybe he was that optimistic once. good catch
Luffy being stabbed traumatized him so much he remembered it for life
Like yeah that's not even a joke, it was buried in the subconscious, but it stayed there
