My grandmother is getting dementia and we've caught her several times trying to contact people and told her not to make any calls to anyone besides us. The people who prey on the elderly are pure scum.
I used to work at a call center… they make you use white names even if you’re obviously not from the US . You also get to choose your fake name. A friend of mine used Fiona 😹
these been a few cases where target/walmart/ any place has caught elderly, and helped htem before it was too late. now walmarts have signs on self checkouts that say something abt it and fraud.
I'm a police officer and I've been called to a few different stores when elderly people buy gift cards and the clerk talked to them about what they were up to. There's been plenty of times I've had cases where the victim went through 10s of thousands and you know there were plenty of people that knew what was happening and let it go. Even more disappointing is the cases where I've laid the situation out clearly and let them know in no uncertain terms that they were being taken advantage of and their money was stolen, and they are so deep in the scam that they refuse to believe me and willingly keep sending more money anyway. I'm sure lots of people working checkout counters have told elderly people not to buy the cards and the victim told them "mind your business" and bought them anyway.
At the end of the day.. They don't get paid enough to help people not to get scammed, they work there and if someone wants to buy them then they're just doing their job. It comes down to people wanting to help outside of their job description.

As someone who has worked in a grocery store, part of the in store training you receive for customer service/money transfer is identifying suspicious transaction requests. People taking instructions over the phone, and people requesting gift cards especially Elderly people are considered suspicious, and we are pressed to question why they are transferring money, and inform them they might be being scammed.
I work in a fraud department for bank of Ireland and I see the devastation these guys cause every single day. So, you would not believe the enjoyment I got out of this video. You drove them insane, I love it. Thank you.

i was a caretaker for an elderly Indian woman who had early onset alzheimer’s with dementia for about 2 years until she passed. one day i was listening to kits videos while making her breakfast and she started to laugh hysterically, i asked her what was so funny and she said, “ that man just said some very foul things and said she was driving him mad”. from then on, we would watch kitboga videos together and she would translate what they were saying in hindi and Tamil she would laugh so hard and it was the only time of the day where she really came into the present and was truly happy. thank you kitboga, from me and navaz

My computer was "disabled" by that flashing message. I wrote down the number and promptly shut off. I called that number and asked "Where are you located?" He said "San Fransisco" I asked him to please put someone on the line with an American accent, as I'm having trouble understanding you people. Long pause....I said I know you can't because you aren't in the US. I hung up. Then he called me back (from a different number) and yelled at me for hanging up! They called my grandma saying she owed 3,000 on her electricity bill. My poor grandma was so worried. Thankfully she doesnt drive and lives on a farm away from the city. She waited until my uncle got home and told him she had to pay. He knew that sounded fishy so he called the actual PG&E and they told him she didnt owe anything. Thankfully my uncle saved my grandma from that scam because she was prepared to pay. People that do this are horrible people.
My grandmother just got scammed for like $3k. Gave a guy her whole stimulus check. It took the all my aunts and uncles to cover her bills so she could keep her house. I hate these people. So glad he is fighting the good fight.

I had one yesterday that said they were from my insurance company so I hung up and called my insurance company and they said they had not called me. Even if it’s a company I use I hang up and call the company. Best way for someone like me (not computer savvy) to handle it. Again thank you so much for getting back at these people it’s brilliant.

Smart!! Thats a perfect way to avoid them, all I could say is try not to say ANYTHING to them, I've heard some will record your voice to use. If you can try not to answer them or hang up either cuz they won't keep calling "inactive" numbers. Ofc that's not always possible, but something to keep in mind.

Kitboga reminds me so much of my great aunt in this video. She passed last year at 85 years old surrounded by people she had babysat, drove to church, people she volunteered with at animal shelters. She was a great person, and a phone call with her was quite the challenge lol 😂❤

I honestly thought she was going to faint when I took the phone from her and yelled at the FBI, ATF whatever “agent” that he was a piece of shit, a scammer he was. She was SO SCARED, even though I told her it was a scam. I actually called our local sheriffs station to tell her it was a scam, she’s not going to get arrested. They were nice enough to send someone over with a REAL. badge to talk to her. I couldn’t talk her down. They called my grandma saying she owed 3,000 on her electricity bill. My poor grandma was so worried. Thankfully she doesnt drive and lives on a farm away from the city. She waited until my uncle got home and told him she had to pay. He knew that sounded fishy so he called the actual PG&E and they told him she didnt owe anything. Thankfully my uncle saved my grandma from that scam because she was prepared to pay. People that do this are horrible people.

I had one yesterday that said they were from my insurance company so I hung up and called my insurance company and they said they had not called me. Even if it’s a company I use I hang up and call the company. Best way for someone like me (not computer savvy) to handle it. Again thank you so much for getting back at these people it’s brilliant.

Then she called to me and said she needed to go to the store RIGHT NOW. And she couldn’t tell me why. Antenna UP. She was FRANTIC. She wouldn’t tell me, got so upset when I started yelling because they were on the phone and would “hear me”. Thanks to you, I know this one. Horrible Criminals are using her number, threat of arrest because she’s responsible, the whole nine yards. I honestly thought she was going to faint when I took the phone from her and yelled at the FBI, ATF whatever “agent” that he was a piece of shit, a scammer he was. She was SO SCARED, even though I told her it was a scam. I actually called our local sheriffs station to tell her it was a scam, she’s not going to get arrested. They were nice enough to send someone over with a REAL. badge to talk to her. I couldn’t talk her down. Thank GOD she doesn’t drive anymore, and asked me to take her, even though she “couldn’t tell me why”. And this is a long story short...
