This was a great ride. The train was slow enough where you could see things clearly. This was what I would call a workman's ride. A lot of time going through "business districts" as we called them in the small town where I grew up. It was great. Some great mountains and water. Thanks for showing me a part of the world that I will never see in real life.
This is one absolutely beautiful journey depicted by this excellent video. I remember such gorgeous scenery from my youth while living in Europe back in the 50' and 60's. Well done, lorirocks777 !
Back with more exciting views of the beautiful countryside of Switzerland and the most awesome scenery ever on each side of the tracks,Thank You.🤠👍 🚈🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇨🇭💨
An interesting rock tooth on the array in the right part at 29:30... In general, the nature of the outlines of the mountains are very similar to the Caucasus, but somewhat more modest. Beautiful views, despite the gloomy weather.
Another lovely cab ride I was in Switzerland in August and i noticed that line was closed as the line terminated in Altstätten Looking forward to the video trough Lichtenstein. Also I hope you have a video from Geneve to Annemasse 😉
Always so nice for me to sit back, relax, enjoy the ride and scenery ... while you do all the hard work getting us there!! Well, I can at least buy a cup o' joe (or ???). Thanks, as always, for sharing your journeys ... excellent quality always, fun to ride along. [Greetings from Tucson]
Great to see stations being brought back to life. That doesn't happen very often. It will be great to see the rejuvenated line. A passenger service would be a great way to show off the "new" line.
It looks like from some of the early bridges under the tracks that a double track had been intended. Also the few over bridges have double track clearance, Problem is the track is built on the flood plain of the Rhine river, which has all sorts of issues for drainage and track support stability. Looks good in the light snow.
I always look forward to watching the videos. By the way, the Re420 electric locomotive at 5:59 seems to be equipped with an automatic coupling. This is the first time I've seen this other than on a replacement locomotive.
Another nice one filmed by Paolo. So, Paolo, which freight company you driving for, probably not bls given where this is, maybe SBB Cargo or one of the independent operators. lorirocks777, how about when we are on freight, showing the vmax of the train also since that is usually lower than line vmax.
Hi. Yes, I always show the speeds according to what the train is allowed, in this case a single locomotive, which can travel 140 km/h but didn't in order to save power due to the predetermined crossings with other trains. As mentioned in the video, low speed was maintained in response to automated speed suggestions from the dispatchers.

Hello What do the white boxes in the top right corner indicate ? In the description at the start it referred to inclines and descents but at around 14:50 the number changed from 8 to 3 then up to 5 then to level in the space of 15/20 seconds while the train was running on what looked like flat ground. Thanks
Thanks for sharing the 'before' - looking forward to the 'after' now - rolling at reduced speed was good, not least for the reduced impact of the flat wheel - hope that was put on a lathe soon afterwards - hearing the power electronics reminds me we haven't heard you driving an Austrian Tonleiter Taurus yet, will we hear that on the Liechtenstein clip? Thanks again \m/
I don't have any Taurus recordings in Austria yet, I do however have a few from Switzerland and Germany. This is the only one I have released so far: th-cam.com/video/exzZIg7S5jE/w-d-xo.html The audio here is actually from another video due to conversation, so the flat was on another locomotive. It's also the reason it took an extra week to release. Thanks for your comments!
@@lorirocks777 thanks, I seem to have watched that one before (I had given it a like) but forgot - so I watched it again just now and you can definitely hear the 'tune' at low speed, definitely worth the time invested in a rewatch - looking forward to yet more characterful clips from you and your team \m/
Ottimo video, come tutti quelli a firma "Paolo".

Sifa requires a response from the driver to prove consciousness. "Störung" means there's some sort of problem, which is usually no real problem at all.
SIFA means an control mecanism to check that the driver is alive. He has to press and release an switch within several seconds. If he do this NOT, first he get a message and he can react, if he does'nt react the loco gets into an emergency break and stop the train

Yes, the numbers are values in promille (1/10 of a %). If you look closely, you can see the signs as we pass them.
Enjoyed the video as always. The camera movement didn't bother me. Is it a problem with the mount or something internal to the camera?
Thank you! Yes, it was a mounting problem. We have a better solution now.

Va bene grazie degli input. Ne discuterò con Lorirocks777. Le velocità massime però dovrebbero essere giuste. Quelle effettive ovviamente no. Saluti
Which locomotive was and was it SBB or DB motive power ?.
It was a German built locomotive as pictured at the start leased to a Swiss operator.

Loco or one of the first cars with a "flat" spot on the weels?
In the audio recording, yes.
Your videos are always of the highest quality. Why is the quality of this 4K so bad?
It's a different camera to usual.
