Okay, I have to say that my "we finished the trail yesterday" was 4 months ago :D I have still one or two informational videos to post from New Zealand (can't let the good material go to waste!) and then I'm off to new exciting videos! So keep on tight, there will be stuff for you to watch soon if you are not interested in visiting New Zealand ;)
Really enjoy your videos - good to learn & see things about those tracks. I enjoy the region when I am down there from time to time, but have still never managed to do those walks.
Great information, I will be hiking the Caples - Routeburn - Valley of Trolls in December-19 and post myself. Dear overseas tourists, please use and pay for our DOC hut systems and help put some money back into these very beautiful and affordable track systems. Outdoorsman Dave a North Island Kiwi.
Very helpful video, thank you very much. I completed the Routeburn this year and I personally found it quite challenging. In your opinion are these tracks easier?
Yes! The Greenstone track is almost entirely flat! The Caples has the pass that may be a bit challenging but it's only for the one day. The other parts or it are easy and flat.
