I've read a lot about dogs and what they've done during war etc and how they've been trained to serve, they're absolutely amazing and deserve all the accolades the military forces receive themselves
Around 158 on parade plus veterans. Although it's 100 years, the true origins go back to 1796 under Edward Coleman, also a pioneer of resuscitation (so thanks very much, Edward!). Nowadays they mainly do the First Military Working Dog Regiment and the Defence Animal Training Regiment - at Melton Mowbray, hence the location of the parade. And on thoses bases (in every sense of the word) they definitely punch above their weight. Well done and all the best!
Love that there still using gun carriage clumpers for parade...showing all types of horses used in campaigns, the ones there riding are the load pulling type the ones pulling the cart are the mounted type, and even the black mule at the back with a dressage horse...
