He doesn't work for Porsche, had his work criticized and hated and no doubt that as told countless times to stop and give it up, probably under threat of law by cease and desists, but he still persevered, not just that but also he can build a Porsche from the ground up completely custom in just 48 hours?! As a former mechanic myself, I will tell you. Nevermind the insane specialty tools, all those bolts nuts and screws, intimate insider knowledge it takes to remove these things, take off plastic bumpers without breaking screws, stripping bolts, losing them, or faulty aged and cheap rivets and parts that easily break.. There's some serious know how only learned from thousands of hours of hands on time to be able to remove and rebuild just a body kit in 48 hours. Let alone painting and color matching it all. And this dude will do this in YOUR garage with someone else's tools?! It's almost impractically hard to believe.
Bro it's NOT, your experience gained knowledge equal accuracy,48hr is a estimated time,on the condition the stock vehicle is in old/new,if I ask you how long its gonna take to change a tire, you already calculated SOP(STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES) in your head base off your experience and tell 5min!.all he did was The hardest things first and the easiest last..Example firstly asking the customer what color, get it mix then panel fabrication prep and the rest is 1,2,3..A,B,C.. taking candy from a baby 🦾🗿

The speed at which he works is impressive but the results are far from showcar standard. Again, I'm not saying that to diminish his creations, but the actual workmanship is nothing special.
From the few videos I've seen the quality is akin to rolling your fenders with a baseball bat. It's a flex to own a piece of history rather than the creme de la creme of quality modifications.

The costs they list in thos video are on the low end and there are stipulations that must be met before he even shows up (paints, cigerrettes and eyt) not to mention at the time there was abput a 2 year waiting list (in 2019). Most of the porches in the video are of the 993 vintage. That is my favorite vintage. The last of the air-cooled engines and the body style is the best of all time in my opinion.
Bruh, Porsches are incredibly special in their own right…. This guy literally touches and enhances that specificity to a priceless aspect. When I get the money, I want him to build me a couple of them, but I know he will only do one, which will make me truly decide which Porsche I want to covet for life…. Probably a 1989 turbo 🤷🏾♂️❤
A true trade craft artisan. I've had the pleasure of seeing 3 of these in my lifetime. To see them up close and see the craftsmanship is an experience that can't be described.
Not really. I'm sure his quality improved in the last couple of years but the majority of his commissioned cars have had questionable work. His work is nowhere near factory or Socal hot rodders and Chicano lowriders. BTW his body kit is a Ripoff of the 993 GT2 evo homologation race cars just gaudier. So his look is not even original like his fans claim. Lastly the owners are negligent to do the proper suspension geometry work to compensate for the wider tires...... His whole movement is just a hot mess and an extension of hypebeast culture..........

@@freecheese4143he’s looking away and scratching his head how tf is he gonna trip on purpose and why would he be trying to make people laugh? he’s an engineer not a comedian bruh
A lot of people might think this dude has it made but honestly this guys dedication and love for his craft is what makes him so valuable.
@@kinginsomnia5999 I don't know why you're trying so hard to diminish what this man accomplished, unless you're just trying to refute me? Though still irrelevant because, surely one so knowledgeable about vehicle repairs and modifications as yourself to call what he does as easy as taking candy from a baby, surely you should be a world renowned and famous mechanic yourself already, no? So who am I to argue against such legendary feats as your own? All I can do is just ask for your fan made TH-cam clip citing and showing your own godly work so that I might drool over your knob appropriately? Please, for the love of God, give me the link already before I report you for blue balling me!
@@darkerdaemon7794I definitely don't want to diminish what this man is accomplished but what he has built is a specific style, a culture and a spectacle. I can't speak for the other commenter, but having watched a couple of Nakais installations in person, what he actually is providing in person from a practical standpoint is not remarkable. The speed at which he works is impressive but the results are far from showcar standard. Again, I'm not saying that to diminish his creations, but the actual workmanship is nothing special.

Love how they mention the hate he got for the modifications, but not the love he got as well.

What more than, rich peeps pay 250k for his work, represents that people love him and his work?
The love (appreciation) came after the hate 😊
Why do you think people fly him all over the world and pay him a quarter million or more for his work? Not everything needs to be said, especially if you can show it instead

I had a buddy that had Nakai come out to the city we live in a do his Porsche. He is extremely down to earth (speaks minimal Japanese) so I had to translate. The experience was top notch. If I was into Porsches, I would not hesitate to have this done if he was still doing them as much as he did when my buddy has his built. The costs they list in thos video are on the low end and there are stipulations that must be met before he even shows up (paints, cigerrettes and eyt) not to mention at the time there was abput a 2 year waiting list (in 2019).

@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo I can't speak on others builds, but I have been working on cars for decades, and the build he did for me in 2019 is still the best work I have seen.
