    why there are enhancer and sliencer? aren't they components of DNA element that regulate transcription?

      These are RNA splicing enhancers not to be confused with transcriptional DNA enhancers. They follow different definitions. Enhancers for splicing are known as exonic splicing enhancers.

      in case you still need an answer, yes that is correct. But the same terms are used for intronic/exonic splice enhancer/silencer. They are therefore not identical with transcriptional enhancers/silencers

      True. But these enhancers are enhancers for splicing. So same name, but different process.
