The Bonne Terre Mine should be an IMAX movie!
I've lived 15 minutes from Bonne Terre for the past 21 years and I've never taken the tour, I guess its never too late :P
As with others, I think this is a wonderful video. The experience was clearly wondrous. However... I am a compposer for videos, and you have managed to match the feel of the music with the wonder and mystery of the video. Great movie,, and wonderful imagery
Lol. That flutter kick killed me on descent Ashley. Still smiling. Good times great vid.
Thanks Sam and Sheli. We had a great time. Now I'm looking forward to diving in the Caribbean next month...where it is warmer.
That looks amazing! That is something that Ashley and yourself will never forget! Nice Video, Papin!
My son and I will be diving there soon. That was touching and sweet, man. What a great experience.
Sean Harbian Thanks! It was a lot of fun, but I never did get used to the water temp.
Michael Schuler It was c-c-cold! :)) Absolutely the most amazing dive ever! I did have some buoyancy issues due to all the depth changes. Rookie mistakes:) Ill be going back for sure
Always thought underwater caves look great but the entrances are always insanely claustrophobic, this looks very doable though. Nice footage.
Wow! So clear, looked like a fun adventure!
Looks a wonderful place...fascinating.
Im lookin to get my wife a few more dives and go out that way. I live out in Neosho Missouri. Majority of my diving is in rivers and Beaver Lake in Arkansas.. Great vid keep up the good work.... Stay safe.... Diver Down
Hi we are in the area also and we are wondering where we can sure dive when the weather gets better and were you recommend diving in this part of Missouri. Thank you for the comments and information.
I'm surprised they don't have lights rigged up down there to illuminate each of the destinations. Seems like that would be pretty cool.
Hey! video looks awesome! I was your groups back up guide that weekend. Love knowing people had a great time. Ashley did great =] Hope to see you guys in 2015
Thanks Adam. We had a great time. I have been telling everyone I know about the excellent experience. We are thinking about coming back on June 27th for the Treasure Dive.
Great video, amazing mine, HUGE! Must have been aweinspiring without the water too once upon a time.
I do wonder about the lead though, how safe it really is.
Muito bacana as imagens excelente vídeo e um lugar maravilhoso .
Valeu por compartilhar muito bom mesmo .
I was there yesterday, OMG SO COOL! I subbed ;)
Mike & Ashley. Looked like great fun. You'll really enjoy the Caribbean.
Just got a chance to watch - very cool.
Go watch DIVETALK video of them diving this, I believe they got to the 28th room on their first dive, really incredible!
Truly awesome
Not-DIR scuba divers are so cute with those flapping hands
+Claudio Barberi I was going to say they sure are flapping those arms around a lot. Something I learned not to do in my OW certification.
Awesome
What was your max depths on this dive?
My dad is diving there on the 30
How old is Ashley? I can hardly weight for my daughter to be old enough :)
Sorry, I just saw this post. She had just turned 12 when we dove the mine. It was a great experience! The dive masters were great and paid extra attention to her to make sure she was safe.
Are there any fish?
Is this in Missouri
Next teach Ashley not to swim without (just fins) her hands, and to tuck away her SPG and octo and be streamline. Thats awesome she started diving at such a young age.
How old do you have to be
dustmakers, boyency is basic skill, hanging on the bottom is no go
I'll forgive the Enya, but I cannot mute the
Bicycle kicking
hands flailing
Octopus dragging
Bottom sitting
...doggy paddling???
Stephen Melvin I hope you realize she is 10 years old and was the youngest person to dive the mine at that point. I’m proud of her courage.
@@michaelschuler3742 10 years old and diving in a mine? That's amazing! It's something she will never forget. My daughter is 10 and I'm thinking about bringing her diving with me now. She isn't afraid of anything and would love it.

So, is she 10 or 12? Regardless, I think SM is being both funny and critical in his post. Though I think this one video has more views than his entire channel. LOL Nice video all things considered.
Why did they flood the mines?
103Catherine They didn’t intentionally flood them, but when they abandoned it, the didn’t keep the pumps on that were keeping all the groundwater from seeping in
like levi said and the lime stone bedrock filtered the spring water making it nearly crystal clear
Dump the snorkels. You certainly don't need a snorkel diving in a confined surface area.
Damn I'd like to explore some caves with Ashley too ;)
Been there done that. Got my mine cert and underwater pumpkin carver cert too.Too bad they want you to dive their "trails" instead of showing you the good stuff.
Terrible diving skills, those guys shouldn't be there.
Three generations of my family worked those mines all their lives. They would be very surprised at this but would be pleased their labor is still valued.
