Waaaaay ahead of it’s time; I’ve seen this when I was a kid, and I always come back to listen for the good music and nostalgia whether I’m at working or working out 🔥🔥🔥
5 year since I posted my original comment on this video, still listen to this at least once a week. Absolutely spectacular. Continue to love this video.
@Octophrator vampire killer’s rendition, while calm, was the perfect bridge between Death Fair and the main theme of castlevania 3.. It is a repetitive (still a bop) song with its melody, so i understand the approach when including it. But overall yes I agree with you 100%. it’s been 12 years now and I’m finally at the skill level to play a lot of these arrangements after spending so much time learning by ear- masterpieces, they are!
I've posted a comment 7 years ago, then 4, now I think it's time to say "Thank you" again to Verdegrand ♥️ Loved it like it was the first time hearing it
Being a musician and a huge fan of Castlevania, I must say... I love your interpretation of the music and not only was I filled with nostalgic bliss, your technique is truly flawless. I love your attack on the keys and I couldn't compose a better arrangement if I tried.
1:53 made love to my ear. Its amazing how well you interpreted that part from a 16 bit game song. I dont know if best medley, but he nailed all the arrangements the right way. Thanks a bunch verdegrand. 2022 and still rocking
First time coming back to this video in about eight years. I’m tearing up just listening to this again because I firmly believe this inspired me to pursue piano further. I remember trying to play bits and pieces of this medley and being so happy thinking I could one day get to your level. I haven’t played in a bit, but I’m seriously moved by this video still. Thank you.
It's fall 2024, 8 years since my original comment on this video, and I still come back often to listen to it. Absolutely amazing. You inspired me to learn to play Castlevania piano music.
We’ve all still remembered this? Really says a lot. This goes raw, now that shouldn’t go unstated. Castlevania likes to dance around my head and this man murders on the stage.
0:45 This little gem of a detail is one of the things that make this already true-to-the-original version so perfect! The actual game sound from whence the mote bridge is hoisted!! Dammit, you genius of a piano player👏
STILL, The best piano medley of Castlevania on TH-cam. A brilliant work that expresses the musicality of Akumajou Dracula as much as it does. 'Death Fair - Castlevania: The Adventure' reminds me that I played again and again on GB with a single earphone when I was a kid.
Ok....I know I'm late AF, but i'm just now realizing that you've played like a lot of my favorite game soundtrack videos. I play this everyday at work. Love your work bro.
In isolation each piece is masterully played. Beginning in particular is the best piano arrangement of it i have ever heard, i have yet to find a standalone performance of it that is as satisfying.
Great stuff. All of these arrangements are masterpieces. But your Bloody Tears arrangement is a Godpiece. It's by far the best I've seen here on TH-cam (and it's already 12 years old). No wonder why this is your most viewed video.
Hey, thank you very much. I should add that that Bloody Tears arrangement is based on Nightshader1's arrangement. A few years ago TH-cam got rid of all the annotations which included the credits. Also while we're at it the second Simon's Theme is inspired by King Baldwin's version. I can't believe it's been such a long time ever since I uploaded this medley. Thanks for watching it.
you're one of the few youtube accounts that I set up to receive an e-mail whenever you upload a video, please don't stop bringing new stuff, your work is awesome.
Ive never heard someone playing those castlevanias themes the way you did, i hve to say it you are an artist bro, i cant take out off my head the way you played, 8:19 make feel incredible. God keep blessing those hands !!!!! Amenn
"God keep blessing those hands !!!!! Amenn" I don't know about that, he got some weird disease that made him unable to keep playing... or something like that. Must have been crushing for Verdegrand. I miss him
dude this honestly my favorite thing on youtube right now. I never get tired of listening to it. The way you play is so original and its amazing! Keep up the awesome work!
I've had this video as a part of a TH-cam playlist of mine for a long time. Every time I listen, I love it. Glad to see almost 200,000 others have really loved it too.
I'm currently transcribing this to a midi-file and although it will take a couple of months to get it completely finished, if anyone's interested, I've already finished Beginning (4:06 - 5:15) and it is available on my channel as a Synthesia video. Cheers!
Just want to say "Thanks for the public service" - Verdegrand's stuff is top-notch and I got mad love for anyone doing transcriptions (Synthesia or otherwise) of his stuff!!

By the way - I'm nearly finished with the whole medley. #hype
This is an amazing medley. I love piano arrangements of any piece of music because of the uniformity of timbre which, to my ear, makes every quality of the melody and harmonies come through so wonderfully (I feel the same way for string quartet, classical guitar, etc. arrangements as well). I just can't get enough of the dissonances used in each piece.
when everthing are Helpless to speak, the art can speak i,am one of those few lucky people who listened to these masterpieces , and felt what a lot of people doesn't felt,... this is the true Gift,
I never played Castlevania games, but am a huge fan of game musics in general. I listen through this medley once a week. The songs and your playing are just too incredible to describe. Thank you a thousand times for uploading this video
been a long time that i closed my eyes for a youtube video just to REALLY feel and enjoy the music. fantastic job man, i'm blown away, thanks for 10min of joy.
Not just some of the most beautiful castlevania, or video game music, but flat out some of the most beautiful piano work I've ever heard. You're like a master of that instrument. Thanks for sharing!
I am notifying all my next of kin to play this at my funeral. Thank you so much Verdegrand for this video. I have played this a thousand times when I've been sad, needing motivated, or just whenever. You're amazing. Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thank you for this incredible piece and thank you to whoever transcribed it. I found the sheet music and learned this years ago and it’s still one of my very favorite pieces to play.
Just so you know, I've been blasting this in my car since 2011 and use it for my yard every Halloween. Thanks for crafting an iconic medley.
On Halloween I'll put on my copy of the symphony of the night soundtrack.
I always come back to this vid. It's simply a masterpiece.
I do the same! I feel like having contributed with a couple of thousand views!... Just wish that I could have liked it as many times, this video deserves more likes!

2024 still amazing.
Being a musician and a huge fan of Castlevania, I must say... I love your interpretation of the music and not only was I filled with nostalgic bliss, your technique is truly flawless. I love your attack on the keys and I couldn't compose a better arrangement if I tried.
I love how the drawbridge and gate noises are synced to the bench lowering and the piano opening, that's a nice touch.
1:53 made love to my ear. Its amazing how well you interpreted that part from a 16 bit game song. I dont know if best medley, but he nailed all the arrangements the right way.
Thanks a bunch verdegrand.
2022 and still rocking
Still, the best piano medley video on the entirety of TH-cam. This can't never be topped.

'Death Fair - Castlevania: The Adventure' reminds me that I played again and again on GB with a single earphone when I was a kid.
This is a really skillful arrangement, with some nicely done key changes. Great performance too. Well done all around!
Honestly I've listened to this so many times people hate me for it. Used to pump me up for work. Amazing job. Thanks for the video.
Ok....I know I'm late AF, but i'm just now realizing that you've played like a lot of my favorite game soundtrack videos. I play this everyday at work. Love your work bro.

the entire video is awesome, but when you played bloody tears, it was incredible!!
The whole part was incredible. I still feel Beginning overshadows Bloody Tears though.
I watch this video since 10 years ... Jesus ... what a master piece !
God bless you Verdegrand and I pray your health issues are resolved. You have a true/wonderful gift. Please get better soon.
Just to say, it's not a gift, it's hard work.

My soul came out of my body
Haunting! Amazing!
Agreed, the best Simon's Theme on YT
Thank you. This was a beam of light into my soul today. I've listened to this 7 times so far. Beautifully played.

Dude you are so talented, holy shit
The scoring and map at the end are just gravy on top of this masterpiece - what a great surprise! You’ve done justice to this masterpiece of a game.
04:07- 04:24 This part of C III 'Beginning' is my favorite and 04:18 still gives me chills.
4:07-4:24
Not just some of the most beautiful castlevania, or video game music, but flat out some of the most beautiful piano work I've ever heard. You're like a master of that instrument. Thanks for sharing!
10:14 Did you draw that cute little map in Microsoft Paint? It's adorable 😭
still the best castlevania rendition
Again, the fact that "Death Fair" was snuck in there is beyond awesome. Castlevania Adventure doesn't get enough love for it's music. =)
I am notifying all my next of kin to play this at my funeral. Thank you so much Verdegrand for this video. I have played this a thousand times when I've been sad, needing motivated, or just whenever. You're amazing. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Does your 4 year old now still sleep to this.
Now he's your dad
I've been listening to this song over ten years and I still cannot get how good your technique (esp. glissandos) is.
Must be one of those since age 5 players. Those guys always have great technique
Am I the only one who's never played in any game from this series but love this medley?
Then u r missing 80% of the magic. You are still on time.
Thank you for this incredible piece and thank you to whoever transcribed it. I found the sheet music and learned this years ago and it’s still one of my very favorite pieces to play.
