An overtime game no less. We expected way less pass attempts with the new style offense but 15 is too low and ridiculous with a qb of his caliber.
we forced 5 turnovers, kept rushing, and kept getting stalled. there is no reason ANY team should only pass 17 times (incl. OT) in a 4 qtr game
Credit where it’s due. Arizona easily could’ve rolled over after those three picks but kept creeping back in the game. Arguably they should have won this game. I genuinely thought State was going to blow this game out of the water in the first half to assuming State was just gonna blow this game in general, especially with all the momentum going AZ’s way. Either way great game, hope Arizona has a great rest of their season. Close out the Pac-.. whatever with a bang. Hail State.
AZ defense showed up in the second half and saved our QB’s tail way too many times to count. As a fan of AZ, this is better than a blow out but stings a bit more knowing our QB is broken lol. GGs to Miss St though.
The fact that Arizona played defense in the second half blew my mind. If DeLaura can stop forcing throws and settle down, this could be a surprising season.
If de laura would take off and run in space instead of throwing up prayers the offense would be really good.

Guys Miss. State is in big trouble ! First up, where would you rank Arizona in the SEC West ? Dead last or ? Second ... dont cheat and be honest, could you name 1 (ONE) player from that Arizona team before the game ? Now, what if i told you that Miss. State picks the Wildcats off 4 times in the first 20 minutes, what will be the score at the end ? I would say blowout ! But, we let these guys hanging around and got lucky at the end to win it in overtime at home ! If we play that way in SEC games we will not win a single one ! Next 3 games are ... home vs. LSU, at South Carolina and home against Bama. That offensive play calling from Kevin Karbay was bad and i mean it ! How can you let a top QB in Will Rogers only get 20 attempts in a whole game ? We won and can move on but man we have work to do !

I have a question about 4:45, as a european i have some problems understanding when it's targeting and when not but looks to me like he used the crown of his helmet so why no targeting in this case?
That was just a clean hit. A lot of targeting calls come helmet to helmet contact when they lead with their head or when it's a hit on an qb...it is often pretty obvious when you play back a targeting call on the review and watch how they hit someone.
My understanding is that targeting has to be either helmet to helmet or literally putting your head down (face mask pointing towards grass) and spearing them with the crown of the helmet.
Looking up and hitting them cleanly in the chest isn’t a penalty. It’s just a great hit
Targeting only applies if he uses the crown of his helmet to hit the head or neck area. In this case, he hit him in the chest/stomach area which qualifies as a clean hit.

Will over threw two wide open TDs the first half would’ve been 28-0..It’s hard to complain about him not getting more throws when he keeps missing wide open receivers..He did the same thing in week one..The OC is very strategic he sets up those big plays so when will misses those throws it kills the offenses momentum plus it makes it harder to run the ball..
Mississippi state defense is really good. But their defense needs to work on playing till the whistle blows. They gave up on some plays, thinking the play is over, or they like ain’t noway, he’s going to make this throw lol and boom he did. Now their offense needs to work a lot a practice. They just need to put in work. They can be really good this year. I mean I can see a top #10, with this team. Not at the end of this year, but in a few years.
MSU had 171 yards offense at the end of the first quarter, at home. The next three quarters plus overtime they managed 136 yards more offense. That’s pretty meek. MSU defense is not nearly as talented as Arizona’s D. Arizona put 430 yards on MSU and made mistakes all night. 5 AZ turnovers and the game comes down to one inch? MSU needed more cowbell…
