Back on the topic, I bought the 2000gt which in 1/43 model is quite hard to find (at least depending on which country you're in). It really is an upscaled version of Tomica Limited. I kinda feel like they will kill the RS line, a good move would be to at least offer more hard to find models or more opening features. Kinda sad seeing these RS on the shelves. Funny thing, Kinsmart costs a fraction of what these go for. Good thing I only bought one.
Perhaps only the Countach can be justified imo, but the others just dont seem to match their price tag...more research and features should be invested in. An acrylic case + base with name plate might be a good upgrade?

Im REALLY LATE, but after thinking of buying the holy grail of the RS line, that being the countach, I think the line has potential, BUT its way too expensive for what you get. I think this line is in this weird line where they intend a good detailed 1:43 scale toy but priced it way too much for unknown reasons. This line seems to be affected by "figure collecting curse" that being if you won't buy it, someone will. The countach is somewhat justified, the others are just not. If they wanna keep this line alive, they should reserve it for their elite licenses or rare castings. The countach is basically the halo car to get in this series, they need to keep doing interesting ones if they wanna keep this line alive.
The opening parts are great, but I gotta say that looks like Tomytec made Tomica Premium RS intentionally for kids, not for miniscale collector. For the 1/43 and that kind of quality, i prefer Bburago or Maisto. Comparing Premium RS to Ebbro or Ixo Models are like comparing Hotwheels wiith Tomica Limited Vintage. :)

I used to love TLV but I think it's getting pricey but not delivering the same quality. Especially it doesn't even get the side mirrors for the pricing you are paying. Plus the competitors are getting better and closing the gap. To be honest, I do not mind getting the side mirrors but losing the opening function.
Mate they are kinda overpriced, I would not buy it because 1. You get the same kind of detail 2. Expensive 3. Tomica premium is way more bang for your buck Nice 👍 vid And stay safe
im from india ...i want to buy 1/43 skyline but its not available here.... 1/64 version is available and is priced at 1399 rupees (18.71 $) . so here in india even the 1/64 is overpriced.
Yeah. Overpriced. GL 43 cars look like a better buy - and they are 17 USD. Missing side mirror is fairly inexcusable in 43. Maybe they are made for kids? But for that they are defintely overpriced.

Yes bro they are made by Takara Tomy btw. Tomytec also have 1/43 scale but way more higher in terms of prices
