You know what I enjoy...Only a Muslim would say they are praying for me and call me brother
A Christian tells me they will pray for me and that's it.
It feels warm to be called brother...I don't have a brother so maybe that's why.
      I appreciate it

I have an idea for you , brother♡♡ if you can't understand quran like that you can get a translated quran for you to read the meaning by yourself to get info easier and take your time or watch dr. Zakir Naik videos they are interesting he answers question which non muslims ask and explain it from quran in easy way so they could understand if they were mistaken and take the answers from islam to all questions
      May allah guide you

Quran as it a book from Allah (the god )it is very unique it has a lot of mircales if you really understand it as it explains islam and the world before it and it tells us a lot of stories like surrah yusuf which you was listening to , you can really know the meaning of patience in yusuf's father (Jacob) and how his heart was broken ,but he never lost the hope or stopped praying and at the end of surrah you see how everything changed and how he finally met his son again
More &more stories like that and about many prophets , too . These stories teach us ethics and how to deal in real life with all problems we face
Quran has much more than only stories it has (Commands and prohibitions) which we should follow ,it has lots of scinentific facts which scientists approved it recently
All that and more lead you to a certain fact that the one who told us all these facts about the world we live in and knows us better than we know ourselves is the the one you created us and created everything

14.44 the wife of the minister had fallen in love with yusuf (Yoseph) and so it became the talk of the city within the women, so they laughed at her, did you fall in love with your own slave, then she wanted to give them a tate of their own medicine. One day she gathered the women of the city and gave them knives (they probably where cutting vegetables or something) then the minister wife called yusuf, when he entered on them the where looking at him and his beauty and cut their hands multiple times.
Yusuf (peace of Allah be upon him) who had been given half of (world) beauty

In my opinion, the problem you're facing here is with the translation. There is a video of Nouman Ali Khan giving his own translation of the same chapter "Surah Yusuf" ( it's different that it's a very modern one and in modern terms). Check it and see if you feel differently about it. You don't have to record it.

Find the simple English translation. Its like read james king version of bible if you didn’t know the context, the sentence lil bit hard to understand if you don’t into literature.
And that’s quite understandable arabic has 12.3 million words and English has 600k words. You need more words in English to understand full of a single Arabic word .

  • @khaledgamal5148

In islam, every prophet comes with miracles to prove that he was sent from god. And one of joseph's (peace be upon him) miracles was that he was extremely good looking, it is even said that allah has divided beauty into 2, he gave one half to joseph alone and the other half to the rest of mankind. This explains why the women cut their hands, they were cutting some kind of food and eating until joseph came out and appeared to them, they were too attracted to his look and looking at him that they didn't pay attention that the knife were cutting their hand at some point. (and thats why they said "praise to allah this is not a human, ratherr a glorious angel")
Also it's not an old language thing, any person who understand arabic will understand this clearly even now, it's just that Arabic has over 12 million distinct words. To put this into context, the Oxford English Dictionary includes just over 170,000 words. so there are many words simply have no translation in english. (also in my opinion, this is not the best translation you can find, there are other translations that are much more clear)

the Arabic language much stronger in meaning, that a word in Arabic could mean a whole sentence in English. understanding the jist and the message in Quran in English is ok for now , but if you learn Arabic you will have a much deeper understanding of Quran. were its literally the words of GOD spoken.

I think you do not understand the context of the speech. I will explain it to you in a simplified way because I am an Arab and I understand the language of the Qur’an When you read or listen to the Qur’an, you find that God is the speaker, and in some verses a person speaks, but the Qur’an does not mention the person’s name in most cases, but you can know him from the verses that precede it, and so on.
