I know that feeling...for the past 3 yrs. my brothers put my mother unnecessarily in a nursing home after a fall at home she was in hospital for 3wks was ready to come home doctors asked mum what do u want to do .. she said l want to go home organize my home all my affairs then choose a nursing home well my brother said to her your not going home anymore & l had a fight with both brothers they put her in a nursing home without my knowledge then had the ordasity...to call a JP & deligated himself as power of attorney & medical attorney got her to sign papers when she wasn't feeling well & know they wouldn't explained what she was signing like l always did & l know they would have embarrassed & bullied her in our 2 language...like they have always done with me...they have taken all her money jewellery property cleaned out her bank accounts ..mum had saved moneyfor her funeral the out fit she wanted to wear its all gone...there's lots more....they have stolen her life her dignity her freedom her voice they control her every move. He has threaten workers at the nursing home if they don't do what he says he will sue them he is always verbally abusive to me &my mother ...l have seem atrocious things in the nursing home that can cause emotion breakdowns..everytime l go to see my mother seems shes always sleeping they make sure that she doesn't talk to me. no nursing home is a good one its all a cover up...
He thinks he will get away with all the lies dishonesty stealing & cold blooded cruelty & unspeakable things they have done to their own mother even as far as stealing her own saving which was quite a substantial amount.
It just breaks my heart !!!
These state trustees and guardians are an evil bunch. No shortage of these stories. Shameful.
True but this has nothing to do with them. This is a story about the injustice of QCAT (although it is scant on those details).
@@sqgl The lack of teeth shown by the tribunal is of course relevant, but the story is not about lack of justice at the tribunal. The correct orders were made; however, the evils of the guardianship system allowed them to be ignored.
Who was it that wasn't taking care of the father? It couldn't be a nursing home because there'd be other staff there and a care plan to follow. So she's a bit vague with the who she's accusing of neglect. 🤔
If this charade wasn't so damaging, it would be hilarious! I know the gentleman in question and I know he was NOT abused in any way shape or form.
Even with bruises, big black bruises, that have no definite cause - people are not willing to consider the possibility of abuse. The elderly are that unvalued.
What a sad ending for human life and the people in charge l have particularly noticed in the last few years how selfish evil they can be.

Conflict between the siblings because the siblings of Rays to hate each other when was the scapegoat, and when was the favourite Golden Child it was scapegoat versus golden child to get control the old parent

Siblings were fighting over control, because one was the family scapegoat and one was the favourite golden child. The conflict was between the siblings.
Was he in a Nursing Home - were they the ones responsible for the horrendous treatment towards your dear dad and you and your sister. I'm sorry to hear that his last few years were filled with humiliation and despair. I hope that in time, the pain of it all can ease enough to let you grieve fully and to remember the positives about your relationship with him.

She was his 64 year old live in girlfriend!!! They get control like a narcissist ic personal preference for these vulnerabilities and it’s a bittersweet experience
