Kolby, I am a 38yrs mom with an Associate Degree In Science. Currently, I work full-time as Nanny, But this is not where I wanted to be at this stage in life. Sadly, I have no technical sales experiences. Can I at least get an entry level Pharmaceutical job? Anything! Or is there any recommended certificate course, training etc that I can take? Looking forward to hear from you! Thanks in advance!
Sorry for the delay on my end. Start making connections with people in the med/pharma sales industry and see if there are openings you could interview for. It's likely that your connections within the industry will be the way you are considered for an open position.
I'm a student athlete starting grad school next year, and looking to get into med. device sales after next year. Would an MBA w/ an emphasis in healthcare administration be a recommended graduate degree to pursue for someone looking to get into medical sales? Or is the healthcare admin emphasis not going to be much of a benefit for this field?
Honestly, you don't need an MBA to get it and it could potentially hurt you. Most ppl that get MBAs don't go into associate sales roles. Doesn't mean you cant do it but you'll have questions as to why you went to grad school to become a sales rep.
Just found your channel it’s been super helpful and I’ve gained a lot of knowledge already. You mentioned you did sport medicine and that’s what I would like to get into. Could you elaborate on the sports medicine sales side of things and how do I come about getting into that field of sales? I’m very interested in med device sales but would like to be around sports still as an athlete . Thank you, I would love to hear any advice you have!
Hey Kolby, first of all your content is so helpful so thank you for that. I have been working at Zimmerbiomet for 5 years as an asset manager (operations). Now I am trying to get in the sales, what do you think my next steps should be to get in sales?
100% VALUE!! Thank you, Kolby!
She asked great questions
What field did she end up getting into?

What college major do you recommend to get into this field?
I'd recommend a business degree with a focus in sales or marketing. Then take anatomy/physiology type courses as electives.
