Oh, yeah. Talking about that nostalgia. I played this game SO MUCH back in the mid 90s, and for whatever reason, maybe because it had no plot to speak of, maybe because it was mostly a game that I enjoyed in the moment but did not really make me think, I had not even _thought_ about the game _since_ the 90s, and that is no exaggeration! When I first heard this music, I didn't recognize it _or_ the game title, but as I continued listening, eventually it hit me, and all of a sudden, I remembered climbing above the clouds, pulling tight turns, and firing MAAMs at one of my best friends whom I had not seen or heard from since middle school! :D I even remember some voice macros: (deep gravely voice) "I WILL *DESTROOOY* YOU!" (calm, higher pitched male voice) "Yeah, your mom." (deep gravely voice) "Bow down before me."
Just figured I'd tell you how addicted I am to your song. Well I now have it on my MP3 player, my car MP3 player, my computer, and part of it as a ringtone on my phone. I play it while in the car, at work (as a sign waver/holder), on my computer, and it's my main ringtone on my phone. I played it over loud speakers for our Bristol Motor Speedway August 2018 race we had not far from where we live and danced to it. I dance to it at work as well. There's just something about it that makes it so addictive that you want to hit the repeat over and over. I think it's mostly the awesome guitar work in it I've falling for not to mention it was my most favorite song in the game out of all them in the game. Again best remix of this out there. O yea I've used it in Duke Nukem 3D (Using Eduke32) for very first boss fight in the game. I've also put it in a mod that my friend and I edited called Duke In Doom for a boss fight as well. This is how much your song means to me. It's everywhere LOL.
Never heard of this track until just now and after giving the original, it's pretty damn good. So I give my thanks to those who requested it and Stone for making another really good remix as always.
Absoluetly loving this remix. The guitar reminds me of the guitar in the theme of the movie "In the Mouth of Madness" in the best way possible. Nostalgia galore!
Duuuuuuuuuude! How on earth have I missed this one? I've heard pretty much everything you've published but this one only now :D Your style really hits my nostalgia nerves. Thank you :)
The original Ymir was letting us feel cool during a dangerous mission, almost chilling. This one is rushing us to the glorious battle ahead full of events, head on battles, firing in the skies, and some other times infiltrating the enemy bases more quietly until we get out again in an array of explosive guitars, proudly. Good job again !
@Stone McKnuckle @Necto Ulin, I like your works, keep it up. Can you take a look at Hellbender soundtrack? I bet 2 songs at least deserve a remix. Cheers.
The only song I really like from that game is an arrange of the Fury theme from Fury³. It's not impossible I'll do that one eventually, but I'm more likely to do Sex from Terminal Velocity before anything else. Good suggestion still, I'll keep it in mind.
Fkn awesome! You did the original justice by sticking to the theme fairly closely and I really enjoy the flavour you spiced it with. About one minute in I was expecting a kickass guitar solo and I wasn't disapponted. Really good transition from oldschool to modern!
I JUST played this game on steam so I could put some gameplay footage to put on Instagram. I logged into youtube and saw this on my feed....Today is great! (also glad to hear some more obscure games, it brings attention to forgotten classics) I loved that in the original game they chose to use such a unique sound design instead of choosing the traditional MIDI soundtracks of the time, it gave a nice gritty sound quality. This was also one of the first true 3D games I had played, I remember how awesome it was taking the fight above or below the clouds...or even underground!
Also played this game quite a lot over couple decades ago. Exploring the planets and getting lost was was fun. Getting my first pc gamepad controller mid-nineties was a game changer.
Oooooo how fun this game is. Been AGES since I played it. Last time that happened was I think on an old 120Mhz back in the day. I have a clean game disc someone chucked in the trash (found it about 4yrs ago...disc surface is immaculate). Issue is trying to install which I havent tried in ages either. The sound of those afterburners being lead footed & the various sounds (which I've long forgot) of your main guns as you go into turning wars with the enemy. Even FURY 3 (demo) had good music but don't think it ever became a full game.
If the game disk is tricky to track down, 3D Realms has it and many other classics for sale for a couple of bucks, and I think it's on Steam as well. Kind of puts classic gaming in perspective how quickly the game downloads on a modern Internet connection.
Absolutely love this version of this song. There's another guy who did a remix of this song which is pretty good as well. Ya'll seem to have alot in common on remixing this song. The other guys name on TH-cam is NU Music. Apparently Kyle Richards commented on his version of the song. I wish Kyle Richards would find yours and comment on it as well as yours is just as good and deserves a comment from Kyle Richards.
I got a comment from NU which is plenty. Yeah, I've heard his renditions and they're great, very very true to the originals. Regardless, thanks for the tip. ;>
Nice song dude, your style is rocking as always Btw what happened to one of your Touhou remix posted on Soundcloud, the one with the kind of flute that didn't have any thumbnail ? Was my favourite :(
I arbitrarily remove old stuff from soundcloud when the download limit's been reached since there's a limit on how much I can upload. I'm not sure which Touhou song you're talking about since I'm pretty sure I haven't used a flute in any of my Touhou-arranges so far, but Plastic Mind can be downloaded from Patreon and Dream Express can be downloaded from bandcamp. If all you want to do is listen to it, there's still TH-cam.
I see As I remember there was a flute (even twice at some moments but I guess it was just chords lol) but I may be wrong on the instruments. There was a break with one instrument that sounded like a traditional picked string (like harps) and other orchestral stuff. I checked TH-cam but I never saw it posted iirc, I could only listen it on Soundcloud as far as I remember, but I'll be sure to check your Patreon and bandcamp. I'm sorry and thanks a lot too :D
Good guy Afranche Check Plastic Mind, World of Empty Dreams and Dream Express 'cause those are the only Touhou arranges I've done. They're all on TH-cam. EDIT: No, wait, was this Magnolia Stage from Ennui's Grimoire? That's not a Touhou song, it's an original song I wrote. I dunno if I removed that or not - if I did, that was stupid...
YUP IT'S THIS ONE Sorry I thought tho, but this song is the most amazing I've heard from you and yep I don't see it anymore in my likes and even on your sc profile
I have a very very very special request of you. Do you think you could do a rendition of Sega Genesis/Megadrive Road Rash 2 Theme/Title song I'd love to hear your version of that?
While we're on the topic of classic PC games, did you ever play Traffic Department 2192? I remember that having a fantastic soundtrack. Also, still eagerly awaiting the day you tackle The Lost Vikings!
Whoops, I think I edited my post after you replied to it, my bad! But yeah, gameplay wasn't anything special really, but it had an interesting (and very dark for it's time) story, and the soundtrack is still one of my favourites. Not many tracks that would fit your style super well though, with the possible exception of Mission Beta.
Please! .. if you choose do TD2192 .. go for the song called "Mission Beta" - th-cam.com/video/CM74NtDlRGc/w-d-xo.html One of my all time fav video game songs that no one has ever heard of lol.
Yeah I'll put it on the list and see if I find some time to play it. Love me some Lost Vikings and might arrange Factory Beat at some point but I think it'd be pretty difficult to pull off in my style hehe
Dumb question. I noticed you did the music for super toss the turtle. Knew it sounded fucking familiar when I heard the bgm playing. Are you allowed to share the original versions at all or have them for download?
Check my other uploads, I've done Doom. I've tried doing Quake stuff but it just sounds exactly the same as the originals so I'll probably never upload anything from those games. :I
Stone McKnuckle hmm, perhaps a classic doom track, either from doom 1 or 2 or tnt evilution. And yea I can see that being an issue, perhaps quad machine but toned to D to give it a heavier sound with a solo?
Stone have you ever heard off Eternal Champions? its a lesser known fighting game for the good ol SEGA mega drive/ Genesis and it has fenomenal music if you could make your own version of etch song you would become my favorite You tuber not even joking
Yeah, I've played it. I'm not super impressed with its soundtrack to be honest, there are plenty of vgm with similar style that are much better IMO. I'll put it on the list, but don't hold your breath.
OMG, you just know how to hit that nostalgia nerve. And you cover tracks that no one else does. Thank you so much for that!

(deep gravely voice) "I WILL *DESTROOOY* YOU!"
(calm, higher pitched male voice) "Yeah, your mom."
(deep gravely voice) "Bow down before me."
Man this kicks ass. One of my favourite games and soundtracks of all time. Brilliant work
Tyrian - great. Raptor - awesome. Terminal Velocity - god I'm happy I'm subscribed. Afterburner ftw!
The shiny gold spheres of power!!!
And yes, "Raptor - Call of the Shadows" is one of the best covers I've heard!
HOLY I remember hearing this theme 20 years ago when my brother played this game.I now what game it was thanks!
Just figured I'd tell you how addicted I am to your song. Well I now have it on my MP3 player, my car MP3 player, my computer, and part of it as a ringtone on my phone. Thanks! Give the menu theme a spin too, it's another hella cool song from this game.
Apparently the title theme was labelled in the game's internal files as "sex".
Aptly named, yeah.
Holy shit, I haven't played this game in like 23+ years but I somehow remember that you got the instrumentation and distortion perfect on this.
This stuff is God-tier. Especially 1:53-2:55 Thanks for an excellent rendition.

Nice description haha. Thanks :>
Crazy one %-) Very very nice work, Stone B-)

Oh my god yes. Such an amazing soundtrack, and this is a fantastic rendition of it!
This is a truly epic remix of one of my favourite game level tracks.
Thank you!!!
I'm so happy that I found this channel
Subscribed *immediately*. I'm gonna need to go through your whole channel, this is awesome :D
holy shit. this is one of those games I played a lot when I was really young. this song has a special place in the back of my mind
Ahh, good memories. Played this ~20 years ago on a friggin 486 pc :D
Same. Rocked this thing on a 486DX 66 back in the day. :>
Awesome remix btw :)
Wow, this reminded me of a track I loved from this game I couldn't remember! Thanks for a reminder why this is awesome!
Dude, i wish would be more synonyms for "awesome" to use it in the comments of your videos, really. You have my subscription!
I JUST played this game on steam so I could put some gameplay footage to put on Instagram. I logged into youtube and saw this on my feed....Today is great! (also glad to hear some more obscure games, it brings attention to forgotten classics)

Tracker music wasn't uncommon at all at the time, but I agree. The way Kyle did the music for these games is awesome.
OH MY FUCKING GOD !!! YES!!!
The greatness keeps flowing. Wonderful job!
For the love of Talos I was about to sleep!
I had completely forgotten about this game until I came across this vid. F*ckin sick
Holy crap another winner from the vaults of my nostalgia.
Lovely blast from the past. You just got yourself a new subscriber sir.
Thanks :>
Old school 3D Realms.
...and somehow you made this track even more bad ass.
Godtier remixes, Mr. McKnuckle. Much love.
Wow you really put a nice spin on this one. Can't wait to crank the shit out of this on my way home from work!
You earned a sub today. Amazing work.

Why didn't I discover this remix sooner? It's awesome.
TV! (Terminal Velocity) I need to find my game disc now!

Just found out about the game, and this awesome Remix!
DUDE, WHERE ARE YOU?, YOU ARE MISSING!......LIKE FOR THE AMAIZING REMIX!!!!!! #ComeBackWithUsKnuckle!!!!!!!
Not missing, life's just been punching me a bit.
Insanely badass indeed.

It reminds me of F-Zero GX soundtracks so much!
slaps
My god. It's been a while hearing that name.
played this game on some makeshift flight simulator at a county fair once. it was just a big moving flight chair surrounded by monitors hah
Any chance for an uncompressed version?
I upload uncompressed releases on my patreon and it'll probably continue to stay that way, sorry
@@StoneMcKnuckle Which tier gets those?

Love this game just can't get it running

sounds like a giant mechanical beast comes to fuck up your city
Holy shit man, I love all of your stuff! Can you do a Fight on remix from Final Fantasy VII?
I might do that one eventually, but... th-cam.com/video/PoXy-0JhbLA/w-d-xo.html
Yeah I've hear this one but there's a reason why I subscribed to you ;)
Oof, this is GOOD.
This is awesome! Maybe do a DBZ remix next??
Yeah, I'll do the DBZ Budokai theme at some point.
Stone McKnuckle ULTRA INSTINCT THEME PLEEEEEEEEEEASE
I have a very very very special request of you. Do you think you could do a rendition of Sega Genesis/Megadrive Road Rash 2 Theme/Title song I'd love to hear your version of that?
Cool remix. Also enjoyed your remix of flame stag from mega man X.
Much obliged.

For some reason I was expecting terminal velocity from Sonic Colors
YairDude Yeah, don't expect a lot of Sonic stuff from me. ;p

I knew it when i suscribe this channel!! My favourite game from the past, good times man! Check Speed Haste OST!!
Thanks for the recommendation, awesome stuff. Never played this game! :O
Dumb question. I noticed you did the music for super toss the turtle. Knew it sounded fucking familiar when I heard the bgm playing. Are you allowed to share the original versions at all or have them for download?
Not yet. I'll release them after the game's out on PC.
Stone McKnuckle sweet! Thanks man!
And also....Quake, Quake 2, or Doom next. I bet you could rock the fuck out of some sonic mayhem.
What, E1M1 not classic enough for you?
Stone McKnuckle lol I take back what my drunken self said. And I took another listen to your remix. Sounds brilliant.
So I don't know if you do request but you should check out a song called beat from melty blood I think you could make it really awesome
I don't really do requests, but I do take suggestions. I've played a ton of Melty Blood so I might as well check it out.
Stone McKnuckle awesome.love your music man keep up the good work
I'm getting Frank Klepacki vibes.

Damn I thought this was Terminal Velocity act 1 or 2 from sonic colors
Mr.Mitsurugi005 personally glad I was wrong. How bout you?
Can you make journey to silius remix title theme remix please. Very good ost
Did it already: th-cam.com/video/TzMc5haHGTU/w-d-xo.html
Arrange is old as hell though, so it's not entirely impossible I'll redo it at some point.
Who else wants some of this quad RTL?
Ok did anyone else think he was going to do terminal velocity from sonic colors?
Yea ngl lol, but its still a banger nevertheless
Isn't this music similar to Fury 3 soundtrack? 🤔
Same composer, Kyle Richards. He's got some hella good stuff in that game too.
How has Kyle Richards not caught wind of this cover/remix yet?
Maybe he has better things to do than google his own name. ;)
Maaan, your remixes are like sex; Something I don't get, but sounds awesome.
lmao
RIP Terminal Realities
Kinect Star Wars and The Walking Dead killed them
Plz make a Megaman 3 Ost remix
Check my other uploads, there are two from that game.
