You have mentioned both American and Indian sourced Diesel locomotives. And you have shown some visual differences among them. But for your information both the Engines are from the same stock. Indian Engine was produced under collaboration with ALCO, USA and the very Engine sourced from USA is also from ALCO. Indian Diesel Locomotives underwent massive changes done by Indian Engineers and are known for more speed and haulage.
