Just press Options to quit the game. The easiest way to do this is to just go to a shop in Rabanastre with a door, like the Magick shop for example, because the game always auto-saves when you zone in or out of it. A shop is also convenient because you can sell your armlets there. 1. Enter the shop. The game auto-saves. 2. Press Options, quit the game and go back to the Main Menu. 3. Go into Trial Mode and load the Auto-save. 4. Grab the diamond armlet. Kill all rats to finish the Trial. The game auto-saves while loading Trial #2. 5. When in Trial #2, press Options and quit the game. 6. Load Game with the Auto-save. Repeat this process zoning in and out of the shop to trigger auto-save, using 4x Fast Mode at all times and you'll be getting one Diamond Armlet and 25LP per minute, if not faster. I bought all monographs but the Hunter's within twenty minutes.
On the PC version, this method would make you die way quicker, since your HP is exactly the same as the HP you have when you have cleared a stage. So if you die on stage 8 for example, as you got in there with 20hp, the next time to go into the trial mode with this method, without touching a save crystal, or healing up and saving before hand, you will have 20hp. So will require to get those heals and save.
May I add, If there is anyone you want to LP farm for, You should do it once you get the "Golden Armlet" which doubles all LP gained to the the character who has it equipped on them

It will set you back to trial 1 with everything you got from the previous runs on the save file
I know I'm late but if you're at around level 30+ and decide to do this, you can go up to trial 10 and just quit at trial 11. 10 trials nets you at 200+ LP (if you have Golden Amulet equipped it will double the LP earned making it around 400+ LP) good method to finish your license boards
Playing the FF12 International Zodiac Job System PS2 version. Trial mode is enabled off the bat, but it doesn't save your progress when you die, even if you beat level 1. Got the diamond bracelet and killed the rats, died to the wolves in the next level. No save file from the trial, loaded back my other save no diamond bracelet and the same LP.

Excellent video. I just got the game a few hours ago and would like to take advantage of Trial Mode. I got Vaan up to level 3 and can clear the first trial well enough, but the second one with the dogs always kills me. Should I grind in the story a bit more and then come back and do this? Also how did you get the spear and the Firefly accessory? Not sure if you mentioned those in the vid and I wasn't paying attention.
The spear was from choosing the Uhlan class and then buying it from a store. The firefly can be picked up but I forget where. It isn't of much use. The first trial is where all your gil is going to come from. And still gives you about 10 LP a clear so it is quite good. You can come back to it at any point in the game, so maybe play the story a little.
I just did that one at level 3. There's a treasure gem thing in stage 2 that has a Dark Mote in it. Grab it, use it on the dogs and that'll almost kill them. I took out the Alpha first, then the wimpy one, then the big guy.
Unless you're doing weak mode, a perfect save file or whatever then I would recommend leaving trial mode until the end of the game, I tried it once I got Penelo and now I'm way overpowered lol, I also have some Berserker Bracers and have no idea how I got them because I was using 4x speed.
grinding without the full party is bad as hp and mp levels increase on level up and are random rng.... e.g. if you wanna max stat u want Vaan lv 1 until you unlock others as other toons lv is based on Vaan's + Number.... some females are high vs low based...so you can max out the number of level ups available to party...
i was able to get past Belias only as Vaan Lv.11! I used the uhm... i dunno how it is called in english... "Rostklumpen" they do damage and saved my live! Also stealing items is great. Just steal from the werewolf to get a good armor equip.

Do you have to clear the floor you're on to keep the items you loot? I've gotten at least 3 pointy hats and some other chest plate on the 4th floor, but I can't survive the mobs yet. When I load the auto save to the main game, the LP carries over but not the items.

ok my issue i got DA then went to lv4 and died. Loaded my game saw had DA, exit and did trial mode loaded autosave and starts at lv4 where I died. I tried the save i overwrited with DA and loaded that but first aid always drops instead of DA at lv1 trial mode. what did i do wrong?

I have no auto save, for on my version of FF12 international Zodiac Age...for PCSX2 . I don't want to play this game on my PS4.....sitting in front of a TV is not my jam
This game now its easier than never was... I wish those Archaeoaevis still hard... The first never let you use saves from trial mode on normal game... Even on weak mode...
imnotmexican1987 IZJS is no hard. I played a lot. I cleared Weak Mode, Trial Mode, and got order of ambrosia. But IZJS is a little harder than US version, but no hard.
Or.... instead of this, you can just play the PC version (which is out now on steam). The PC version has the built in option to max out your LP and Gil (in the "config" section of the party menu). Currently running around with a lv2 Vaan and my license board is almost complete and I have gil for days. PC master race.
Dustia isn't even worth it anymore since you need initial investment on Phoenix Downs and you don't get as many Gil/LP per minute. People should only do Dustia runs for EXP, they're overrated for Gil and LP compared to this method.

Prank Nation you always start at Trial 1, whenever you leave or die in the trials mode you start back from Trial 1 and have to work your way up again

Fun fact- steal from the flowering cactoid on stage three for a chance to get the Karkata. A 95 power, confuse on hit sword. It's pretty OP

Go to lethsu mine and to the second beige kill all enemy go 2 stages back and against inside the beige.. You got 30 _ 50 LP

Keep in mind that if your party is wearing Diamond Armlets then the Diamond Armlet in the Chest...thing... won't spawn!

You have to clear the floor and get the autosave to pop up to be able to carry items into your main game >_
I'll be doing this today, so after you do this, do you go back and keep on using the same save or do you always go back and make a new one?
You always have to load the auto-save, then make a save over the top of your old one... or a new slot.

Well.... I am about 2 hours in Story Wise. Actually was grinding levels on Dustia for about 3-4 hours.

i dont consecutively get a potion and diamond armlet on my first trial. its always a first aid and headgaurd
check what you have equipped, if ya wearing the armlet it won't drop in loot.

You can take a whole party. It gets easier the more characters you have.

I haven't tried it yet but if you have a guest in the party, you may be able to take them with you to the trials. a 4th char is always helpful.

To get the diamond armlet you have to make sure you aren't already wearing one. If you are it will change the loot in the chests.
At stage 1(i have done it 3 times), the other chest doesn't give the diamond bracelet anymore or it's based on your luck
